4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LTC][Pool][PPLNS][STRATUM] - ltc.kattare.com - burnside's Mining Pool on: June 25, 2013, 08:57:44 PM
I received this notice today: "Please edit litecoin.conf and connect to supernodes for optimal relay of transactions. Learn more: http://litecoin.org/upgrade"

Curious how I can tweak my litecoin.conf file settings for ltc-stratum.kattare.com?
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Worldcoin - Self mining on: June 14, 2013, 12:48:04 AM
I created the worldcoin.conf file:

rpcuser=myusername
rpcpassword=mypassword
rpcport=11082
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0
testnet=0
listen=0
maxconnections=100

Then launched GUIMiner and logged into localhost and post 11082.  Appears to be mining correctly, but unsure how long it will take until I start to see the coins come in?  541 Mhash/s

Also, will the coins appear automatically in the Worldcoin Qt wallet?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Connection Issue - GUIMiner-scrypt alpha and kattare.com for Litecoin Mining on: June 13, 2013, 10:56:09 PM
The miner value is grayed out so I cannot change it.

I deleted the port number and added it to the host (ltc.kattare.com:9332)

I am still getting the same error unfortunately
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Connection Issue - GUIMiner-scrypt alpha and kattare.com for Litecoin Mining on: June 13, 2013, 10:27:52 PM
I am using GUIMiner-scrypt alpha and am trying to connect to Burnside's Litecoin mining pool on kattare.com.

Connection info:

Miner: cgminer
Host: ltc.kattare.com
Port: 9332
My username and password (double checked this)
Device: [0-0] Tahiti

I am also trying to use my 7970* (using the GPU defaults).  Is Tahiti the graphics card?  There is another selection but that shows a reference to the AMD 8 core processor.

* XFX AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB GDDR5 DVI/HDMI/Mini DisplayPort PCI-Express Graphics Card FX797ATDFC;FX-797A-TDFC

I am curious if anyone might have any good suggestions for places I can sell e-books for Bitcoins?
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Mining Difficulty on: June 05, 2013, 02:37:56 AM
I just found a Bitcoin mining profitability calculator at http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/ and it reports 12,153,412.  I wish I found out about BTC earlier :-)

Here is a good matrix on the history of BTC mining difficulty:

I am curious what the current average mining "difficulty" rate tends to be?  Or does this vary by machine?
