1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dan's Picks for Today 3/30 on: May 31, 2017, 11:50:35 AM
giants: -3 units
yankees: +3.57 units
marlins over: +0 units
cubs under: +4.54 units

you are up 5.11 units. not 8.

and having a range of 1-10 units is really large. units wouldn't even be the correct way to accurately assess how good of a sports picker you are. ror (return on risk) would be better.

You are right, although your numbers are wrong as well. The next post ill be more specific, my apologies.

My wagers are TO WIN the said units I set per game. Ex:

Marlins Over PUSH
NY Yankees -140 $700 to win $500 (5 units...$100 per unit)
SF -120 $360 to win $300 (3.6 units to win 3)
SD Under $550 to win $500 (5.5 to win 5 units)

Correct Overall +6.4 Units

What is a better wallet to work through? Xapo?

Between their recent high amount of outages and delays mixed in with their super poor customer service, they are getting tons of flak.

I personally funded a transaction a week ago via debit card and am still waiting for it.

Most reputable wagering sites require $50 minimum via BTC

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: May 31, 2017, 07:01:17 AM
I use it mostly for sportsbook purpose right now, but have leaned more into the idea of investing in other avenues with them.

New to the site but not to bitcoin. Curious if you'd take access to two sports wagering accounts with over 50k USD in them as collateral?

Im an avid trader on sports and need funds to go half on another wagering site with a partner. If you are open to this I can reask for the loan with proper details as you have stated.

Thanks!

13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: May 30, 2017, 10:43:17 PM
Everyone starts with zero experience at one point.

Casino is easier to pick up than sports wagering. With sports it takes a while to pick up on line movement, weather adjustments, statistics, etc. I recommend whichever of the two you go with that you start slow and follow a few folks. 5% is a safe place to start with each wager amount .5% or so.
14  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want to buy BTC using BOA transfer on: May 30, 2017, 10:18:58 PM
Just log you bank with a wallet like Coinbase etc and do an purchase. It takes about 3-5 days
15  Economy / Economics / Re: The fluctuation in pricing.. on: May 30, 2017, 09:24:23 PM
Great point. The lack of backing from a country as a currency draws instability fears to the citizens as well. The Dollar is only stable because the US backs it and it is the widely known currency. You could put popcorn in its place, if it was US backed and widely known..than popcorn would be the currency.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is more risky. Sport or casino bets ? on: May 30, 2017, 09:14:35 PM
Following the trend because its the obvious answer. On sports you have research, knowledge etc.. you can pour that on to your selection giving the wagerer (if smart) an edge. In online or in person casinos, the house ALWAYS has the edge. The worst mistake a smart sports bettor can make is to keep their casino running while playing sports. You'll end up giving back any winnings right away.

is creating a wall that makes it harder for BTCto be a universal economic currency. Stores may take 1BTC for a product and in the AM that 1BTC could be valued at .08BTC. Obviously theres a ton of positives to this happening I think more than negatives. I for one hope it does though because USD is getting old Smiley
