Hi guys,
This is my first time using a dedicated miner, few years ago I used my graphics card.
Do these stats look ok regarding the s3? and what is the best method for making the s3 last? keeping the temps cool? turning it off once in awhile? cleaned out the fans and internals when purchased. Got this at a bargain price in the UK £80 looking to expand on this after a few months.

Current Setup, running at 428.4 Gh/s.

Iv noticed my miner drops to 350gh/s then back upto 400+ is this common?

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / cgminer on: April 19, 2013, 12:05:22 PM
Hi guys,
after a bit of information if anyone knows.
trying to run cgminer as local_service it seems to run but doesnt send any information to the pool.
if i run it as administrator it works. but displayed the dos window. point is to have it run in background.
does cgminer have /hide or any arguments i can add to my code?

Is this still valid? or has it been updated?
-o stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333

technically yep, ya can use stratum2.bitcoin.cz or stratum3.bitcoin.cz
and yea, it's been updated to use those 2 new addresses ( still same port )
are there any other flags i should be using? in GUI version you can put -v -w -f etc are we able to do same with cgminer

Cheers buddy

What really should happen in that case, the 2 company's or SITES should talk to each other and find your digital trail.
Depositing/Removing. see that its vanished into the either and reimburse you the Digital Currency! you've not really been cheated just incompatiable systems. Id probably contact Mt.Gox as its there system that has failed(Or No Functionality) causing you to lose the 1BTC.

again these sites should really have a function or api so when you try and do what u done, it bounces back and doesnt send the BTC.

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How come I can't post?? on: April 18, 2013, 08:54:06 AM
yes, its pretty annoying. been trying to be able to post for awhile elsewhere as well. but restricted because of my post count in this forum. nothing interesting to post on here!  Sad

Id agree, just because we are new to the forum doesnt mean we dont know anything.
it is a goodway to stop people spamming topics joining and leaving tho!
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Slush's pool actively refusing IP on: April 17, 2013, 02:34:47 PM
Its being DDos'd, wondering if there running a network load balancing setup which would solve the issue or atleast reduce the damage the attacks cause.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anybody know why bitcoins are going for so much on ebay? on: April 17, 2013, 02:01:42 PM
could be like last week they were selling for $250, so people might see a market for buying cheap and reselling when the time is right.
obviously prices go high and low. just chancing there arm no doubt.
