1  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy- orders closed, pay for extra! on: September 12, 2013, 09:24:37 PM
mine have been sitting "at local fedex facility" since ~40 hrs... need to call them tomorrow to know what up...

Finally got mine.  They are all black colored ones and a few of the plastic cases got cracked.  Not surprised considering how FedEx treats packages.  All up and running and hashing away.
2  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] Promo USB Miners .13 btc each or less for past SilentSonicBoom Customers on: September 10, 2013, 12:01:19 AM
Payment sent to add on a few more to my existing order.  Thanks!

Awesome!

Speaking of hubs, newegg has these 10-port hubs on sale again for $19.99 until the 28th.  The 20% off promo code is shown on the page:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182208

I just ordered some more.  I'm already running over a dozen of these with USB BEs (no more than 7 per) and various FPGA boards, and so far they've all worked flawlessly.

Thank you for the tip.  I ordered one as well.
4  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 24, 2013, 07:22:18 PM
I mistakenly thought (based on what i was told!) that I'd be getting the rest of the order shortly - like, several days ago. Thus i used the first batch of 154 to fill the bigger orders and the on from there. I am not sitting on any unshipped units right now. Like everyone waiting on USBs, i'm waiting on asicminer. I've read speculation that AM is focused on the mini blades, and that's the cause of the delay.

Make no mistake: i'm just sitting on the btc you've all sent me, waiting to be sent to fried cat.

Unfortunately, you fucked over the people who ordered in the first batch like me. I paid before you ordered the first batch and yet I have received nothing. Why did you decide to ship out of order and how did you decide that it was okay to fuck over your customers?

Sorry for my abusive tone. It's just that we complained about this last time, and you did it again.

I had every reason to believe that the second shipment would have come, and been sent out to all of  you, by now. Clearly, that hasn't happened.

As i've  said, if you want a refund that's not a problem.

Since you are unable to deliver and you delivered out of order, I would like a refund please.    0.7 BTC to 1DaddyjfKQAJYYGW3C7Ahz1F9AXYQLyijj   for four units.

I will take your units if Arklan is okay with transferring them to me.  PM sent

*cricket sounds*

Friedcat hasn't responded to Arklan's multiple requests to pay. Nothing will happen until Friedcat responds. Ball is in his court.

Well my new hubs/fans are in, now i just need some miners!

Which hub did you go with?

After reading: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253749.0

I decided to go with two D-Link DUB-H7s.  I will have a total of 10 miners once these come in, so running 5 per hub with one fan each connected to an rpi running MinePeon.

Awesome, thanks.

Fixed voltage so no longer the ability to overclock. Do a search, it has been discussed many times in this subforum.

12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: has anyone used www.btcquick.com? on: July 15, 2013, 06:31:31 PM
The only two I use.
BTCQuick, it's quick but the fees are high.  You get to use Google Checkout though so it hits your credit card and not your bank account.
Coinbase, just executed my first transaction and everything is going well so far.

Private key for Order #7774 was funded, but no order points given.  Thanks.

Anyone else able to register and pass the quiz fine?? but when you click "New Transaction" you get:

"We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are unable to process your transaction at this time. Please contact support@bitinstant.com if you have questions."

Is everyone getting this? Or is there a 24 hold on new accounts or something? Or is it possibly my location..

My already established account says that when I hit new transaction.

So I did a purchase through zipmark on Thursday for $200.  Instead of getting an instant transaction like some people zipmark sat on my request until today when they ACHed my money this morning.  Bitinstant still doesn't show any received funds and doesn't even take zipmark anymore.  Is anyone else in this position?  I emailed both customer supports but no answer yet.

Transaction number is 8bbc779b-9642-41e3-b3be-abd7946dd1af

I'm in the same boat as you.  When I saw how successful ZipZap was, I initiated a transaction, signed up, etc.  Money left account the next day.

No reply and no coins for 4 days.  Stuck in the Pending stage.

18  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC FPGA GPU overc monit fanspd RPC linux/win/osx/mip/r-pi 3.2.2 on: June 19, 2013, 03:42:27 PM
I have a problem with the ASIC Miner USB Erupters and CGMiner 3.1.1.
I had two working fine with CGMiner 3.1.1 on my computer then I shipped them to someone else and now they can't get one of the USB Miners to work.

Steps taken on the affected computer:
Installed zadig
Installed USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers
Rebooted the computer, did not change any of the drivers.  Zadig reports that the Erupter is using the correct USB to UART driver.

Verified that the Erupters are using COM5 and COM7 in device manager

Ran CGMiner 3.1.1 with the following arguments:
cgminer-nogpu.exe --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100 -S //./COM5 -S //./COM7

One of the devices works fine and one always gives the following error:
Started cgminer 3.1.1
Icarus Detect: Test failed at //./COM5: get 00000000, should: 000187a2
Reset failed! not an Avalon? (0: c1 4f 87 64)
Avalon: Goto idle mode

The device on COM7 always works so I'm trying to find out if it is a software problem or a hardware problem.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I read 3.2.2 will fix many usb issues.  Will give that a shot and report back.

It turns out that adding a USB hub resolved this.  Not sure why it did not work when plugged directly into the computer, but I'll take the win.
19  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC FPGA GPU overc monit fanspd RPC linux/win/osx/mip/r-pi 3.2.2 on: June 18, 2013, 05:02:28 PM
Thank you all for the suggestions.  I did verify under "Ports" in device manager that they are listed at COM5 and COM7.  I am still using the USB to UART drivers with 3.1.1, will give a shot at WinUSB drivers with 3.2.2.

No hub is being used, I tried the ports in the front of the desktop as well as the ports in the back of the computer, directly on the motherboard.  No hub is being used.  I will do more troubleshooting and report back with my results.
