besides buying an expensive and very rare mining rig, know that you can join in and buy shares of ASICSMINER at https://btct.co/ for around 1.2BTC currently. IT PAYS DIVIDENDS weekly.

Just if you didn't know - and yes, i'm invested in them and love them, just want to share the word as it's still underground I'd say...

interesting.. thanks for pointing this out!

I ordered one in Feb, but it's really hard to say when delivery will be.
There's been a huge number of orders over the last year, but also a lot of people have cancelled so it's hard to know where in the queue I am.
I think BFLs current estimates assume a final production rate of 400units/day but it's not clear how accurate this will end up being.

For what it's worth I've just written mine off because it's too much stress constantly waiting for updates. If/when it does arrive I think I'll probably mine some alt-currencies just for fun Tongue

Alt-currencies like litecoin use scrypt that the ASIC is well-suited for..

The fun thing about Field Programmable Gate Arrays is that they're field programmable - if you're at all so inclined, it's always fun to repurpose them for something new, like brute forcing password hashes.

I suppose.. but not for the prices they're selling for now.

I have a solution for 7970s which runs very slow(about 480KHash/s) on LTC. Can't wait any more to share it.

please do tell.. having some of the same problems, but my 7950's are running fine.

I used to use blockchain.info, but DDoS attacks on the site have me shying away from them..
