I just wanted to say that I've been using Zpool over the last 3 weeks or so to check it out.
I really like the payout in BTC, and I'm also very impressed that crackfoo pays the payout fees too!
A couple of days ago I noticed 30000 miners using neoscrypt I wondered what that was about lol.
At the moment I have just one 1080ti up and running, although I'm planning for another soon - they sure aren't cheap in Australia.
Although profits have been down a little for a few weeks I was trying to compare to nicehash and it seems like on average I make about 20-30% more.
Nicehash was showing 1.2 mBTC for a 1080ti over yesterday according to their calculator, and I bought in about 1.7. There are mods for nicehash like gaco that can increase profit for it a little but it's still under. These figures were consistant over 3 weeks or so with checking nicehash every couple of days.
So for those who persevere and don't take their profit calculation from 2 hours of mining, or the high spikes of temporarily inflated algorithms, I can highly recommend Zpool, also I've noticed twice with C11 and Veltor extended spikes that raised profits, this can happen sometimes with Zpool as there's many algorithms to use.
I just have one question and sorry if it's odd as I'm still new, but would anyone mind explaining how come zcash is greyed out and what that means ? I know that there's other equihash coins that we can still mine when we point to that port though.

p.s. everytime there's a pool error it's normally fixed quickly and the mining data is backed up anyways it seems. i didn't notice any profitability hit from recent pool events.

Thanks for the great work, Zpool.

Thanks a lot. Mining isn't as simple as just pointing it a pool and expecting to rain gold like other people think. Looks like you've got it figured out and doing some smart mining.

As for ZEC, we don't quite have enough hashrate to make it feasible to put hashrate on it yet. The pool is still not quite as fast as I would like it which can result in longer periods of bad/good luck making it seem not profitable to the average miner.  Right now it's 3days to find a block. Most miners can't wait that long to not see their trough filling with earnings. If we can sustain ~2Msol I think it might be enough to flip it as active for mining.

Thanks!

Ah I think that I understand. Cheers for the quick and positive reply too. So equihash currently seems to be mining around 80-200Ksol total at the moment, therefore it would take 5-10 times or even more mining hash before it would be worth making it active, if I understand right. Looking at the difficulty zcash seems much higher than the other equihash coins, and I see 2days per block estimated at the time of writing. I can just imagine some complaints if people were mining it and waiting 3 days for the block revenue, even though in one way it's funny, some people may just not understand that zcash wouldn't pay out as fast, hence it not being included.

In terms of switching I'm currently using 4 minutes per algo check, can anyone recommend a setting that in their opinion could work better ? 60-90 seconds to me means that too much time is lost switching and the mining program working up to full speed, whereas something like 10 minutes could leave another algo potentially unmined that's currently getting good figures, although maybe it could work ?

I'm very happy, I put the remaining deposit on my 2nd 1080ti today, it should arrive sometime in the next 3-4 days. I was thinking of trying steady mining on one coin with it, whilst algo switching with the other, or would people recommend using both for algo switching ? And if I was to steady mine on one card, even though many miners prolly don't wish to divulge their secrets (!), maybe someone could recommend a method for doing that, or maybe try just mining 2 different algo's with seperate cards ? More cards = more options lol.

Cheers crackfoo for the explanation, and gratz on a great pool that I hope continues to increase in reputation and profitability for you and the pool's users.

Any response on how to effectively use 2 cards to mine on zpool with either split steady, algo switching, or a combination of the 2 would be highly appreciated for a new miner. Thanks !

Hi guys ! Forgive me for formatting errors as this is my first ever post on Bitcoin Forum.

I quickly tried this program which looks wonderful.

In terms of giving feedback, I noticed that equihash mining was giving me over $4 usd in income, and the claymore's miner under $3, however the miner was defaulting to claymore's which wasn't the most profitable.
I'll try and send a bug report in the program and maybe that will assist in solving it ?

Anyways once this issue is solved I will most likely try it for far longer !

Thank you for all the time and effort you've put in so far guys.

edit... it seems that, for now, the problem has resolved and the most profitable coin is mining ! wow, that was fast.
anyways i'll keep an eye on it for u guys and let u know if anything else happens.

by the way i checked out the site, and the payout option of paying out virtually at any time seems wonderful to me, thank you once more. i'm continuing with this miner for now.

p.s i couldn't be sure of all the coins as i'm a little new, but the algorithms grs and dgb don't seem to be activating properly, even when those two alone are selected.
