Unbelievable. We are hanging around 7/8 Sat , coins are helicopter spread awarded via PoS and the FUD is starting already. Who is actually forcing people to get involved? What bloody coin is actually perfect and ticks all the boxes? If there is one why not put everything in there and don't bother FUDding other coins. Ember is what it is. Make of it what you want.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EMBERCOIN [X13, POW/POS] on: August 30, 2017, 10:20:39 PM
received bit coin cash for holding BTC. I mean that was really mad-real cash basically for nothing. Crypto is great. Ember is great. ...and sometimes we get burned. Invest what you can afford to loose. look at ICN. Has all the right fundamentals to be worth more but is rejected it seems. For now ember has a growing community. Kind of makes coins and breaks coins 'Ye olde community'. Don't know what to make of ember at present but I enjoy staking and see where this coin goes. Apparently new Dev has taken over and things are happening. Starting with new wallet 15.9. and a kind of new start six weeks later. In order to make the big buck it is necessary to buy coins when they are worth little to nothing. Most will fail and the investment will be lost. Though if one gets it right once out of ten than that should compensate handsomely. Ember today and some other coin tomorrow. What a crypto ride lol

It seems that I can't stake when wallet is encrypted? It says it on the small flame when wallet is locked. I have unlocked it and now it says my coins haven't matured. Which is understandable. Just put them in my wallet. The question is : do I have to leave the wallet unlocked all the time while running the pc all the time. It does worry me. Got bullgard and vpn . Is that enough to feel save? Sorry for all my questions .

Just thought I'll give you an update about speed etc. Withdrew my ember from Cryptopia and had it confirmed in my wallet within 10 seconds. 15 seconds at the most. Followed the guy on youtube and installed conf file and node list. Looks as I have followed it correctly and it seems to work. Synced and all. I'll get back with more info when I have received any stake coins. Do I have to leave my PC on all the time to earn Stake coins? Does anyone know? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How long does it take for Poloniex to process withdrawals "Awaiting Approval" on: July 28, 2017, 02:10:49 PM
so in total 19 hours and it has been sent. Not ideal but most importantly they do send the funds. And I didn't send an email and raised the issue. I think they have been overwhelmed themselves with how quick they have grown. I think they will catch up soon and they will get even better. I wish I could invest in them. Obviously I am a newbie and clueless.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How long does it take for Poloniex to process withdrawals "Awaiting Approval" on: July 28, 2017, 10:53:09 AM
Ok so far I have been waiting for 16 hours after using the confirmation email. Withdrawal is waiting for approval. 0.6 btc. the sum is small and there is no red flag or anything wrong it seems. It has happened before.  I use mainly Bittrex, cryptopia and bitstamp for this reason. I would like to trade more on Poloniex but my own experience and the comments from other users prevent me from doing so. Of course I would be happy if they can manage to do it in 24 hours but if one does need the funds quickly somewhere else than poloniex wouldn't be my first choice. Apart of that I have never had a problem with Poloniex  and will keep using them when I am not in a great hurry for withdrawals.

It is poinless to start any arguments about CHC it seems. CHC is like Marmite. You either love it or you hate it. I suppose we will see in a couple of months who is out of pocket.

Hi there. I am struggling to understand darksend in my wallet. Of course it offers me to send chc without but doesn't recommend it. Not sure why so either. What could happen? I have been looking on google and and forums but can't find anything for CHC. Though I found something for dash but didn't get it how to apply to my wallet. kept buying but actually never have sent any.Got my static IP (took forever) and I am trying to set up two master nodes tomorrow and would like to send exactly 1000 CHC to each. It probably will take me a year to set up with my knowledge so I am a hodler. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that I am a newbie but every newbie got to start and learn from somewhere. I am learning autoditact.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HTMLCOIN (HTML5) NOW AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC on: July 10, 2017, 02:23:12 AM
Ripple got almost the same amount. Looking at html5 website they are active. Considering that the crypto market is supposed to grow substantially by over 10 time within a year it looks not so much then. The sales walls are not much when one considers the money spend daily on exchanges. I am still trying to understand more and why HTML5 at all. Could somebody please tell me if there is a need/demand for the technology behind HTML5. I fancy taking a punt and buying a few million HTML5. Maybe as a newbie I am just excited to get so many coins for satoshis. But a month ago when I entered the crypto world it was mentioned on bitcointalk that HTML5 has potential. I am curious if opinions have changed. I am not worried to hang on to my coins for three to five years. I am also prepared to loose the lot. I think now and then a risk or shot in the dark  coin can't harm. The website looks great and they seem to have a community around cryptocurrencytalk.com. Looks professional as well. Any thoughts?

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment. Much appreciated.
I am in. Bought when it was treble the price . Will buy  more at rock bottom. Probably before as I am terrible in guessing well.
...and no I haven't done my trousers yet Smiley
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 |ANN| MYSTERIUM NETWORK - Decentralized VPN built on blockchain |MYST| on: July 02, 2017, 01:28:33 PM
Maybe it is only me who doesn't get it. Mysterium came out and updated everybody. Sounded all very good including their excellent choice for Berlin to build their team. As I understood from the announcement they will take some time to set up the infrastructure of the business. I think that sounds all very encouraging but the price dropped even further. Just hoping somebody can shed some light on this for me. I am just about to buy more of these coins as it seems obvious to me that it is a good long term investment (2 years I hope). Am I just naive and inexperienced to think like that? Is there something else I have forgotten to consider? Is there somebody else who is building more or less the same?
The money they collected through the ICO doesn't seem much for the potential of turnover and profit it could create.
I would greatly appreciate any advise or thoughts.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 |ANN| MYSTERIUM NETWORK - Decentralized VPN built on blockchain |MYST| on: June 27, 2017, 07:59:14 PM
Newbie here. As I understand an ICO is based on a white paper proposal. And Mysterium done that and also demonstrated practically that it works. (Sorry for not using all the technical terms as I am not good at it- Newbie Smiley But I have been reading in the bitcoin forum enough to believe this could work. Many don't agree which I read as well.
It must have been hard work and exhausting to get the project to this state. I am new to block chain and decentralisation but I do understand business. In my opinion the guys are taking a time out, recharging their batteries and thinking about the project. And yes I do believe that they take some of this money for themselves and have a good time. It is the reward for long hours to get it to this point. And also there will be decent wages I am sure of and holidays. Sounds all normal to me. I'd rather have a well rested and fed team  to tackle the next stage. They don't have financial worries to bring their project forward.
All this together could be ideal condition for success.
I think the principal of the decentralised VPN and rewarding the participants is a great idea . I bought a good chunk of Mysterium coin for double the price it is now and I will hang onto it and probably buy some more. And I don't understand why some people complain that there is no more announcements and updates. The ICO was the biggest thing for Mysterium so far. They have probably given all the announcements, plans, information there was. They have used all their arguments. What else could there be in such a short time? The ICO was a success. They have a plan. They have a good product(at least on paper). Once operational the coins will have value as VPN is not for free. Sure it could be a scam but what for when you could make more delivering the product. Of course I am new and there have been many scams I keep reading about. Actually there is hardly a coin which has not been accused of being a scam. Wrong or right doesn't matter it seems. Anyway high return is usually high risk , and not a licence to print money. I wish the Mysterium team good luck and have a great time enjoying yourself ....and just don't forget to come back.

Thank you. It took 7 hours but it came through. I will get used to it. Just a new experience .So much to learn in the crypto world...
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin market crash on: June 25, 2017, 10:41:03 PM
I have approached this matter with a long thought process a while ago. I have managed to save a bit of money for the last four years. I had hoped to buy a house one day. Though house prices rise faster than I can save while my savings have almost zero return and inflation eats into my saving pot. Just turning 53 years old and I discovered the block chain world. Our banking system has failed the people big time. For me it is a no brainer to invest a third of my money into crypto currency. Even if I loose it with a bang it is better than being drained over years with no chance of a good return(ever)  The crypto market might crash but will recover because I(complete amateur) believe  a lot of alt coins have a purpose and have a value and bit coin is also here to stay(maybe not as number one for ever). Block chain technology is the future(in my opinion) and it will be implemented into our daily life over the next 30 years. I have very limited knowledge as I only started to learn as much as I can in the past six weeks  but it is fascinating and it has become my new hobby(..... like learning a new language) The more I understand the less I believe the crypto market and the block chain technology will disappear.
But I think investing is not enough. I recommend to understand in what one invests.
I my humble opinion the choice is:

Put your money in a bank and watch its value decrease year by year

Put your money in shares -probably not a good time as it must correct itself soon but after a correction(crash of some sort) same applies as for crypto market. Buy low sell high. Though dull in comparison to crypto market

Or try something new, risky and unpredictable. Crypto is rewarding but you need strong nerves. Patience and believe(and a bit of luck). And if you know that your coin is worth something and useful than just hang on until it comes up again.
Though it can take a long time for a coin to recover. But it is great fun on a daily base with all its up and downs and a very knowledgeable community.

And if everything crypto coin irreversibly crashes than I hope everybody only invested what they could afford to loose. ...And then move on to something new Smiley  But why should that happen. Far to much money involved now to make it disappear and that apart of the technology.

Well after researching more I feel a bit silly. I am part of a block and wait to be confirmed.  Guess for paying the minimum fee my block will be processed as and when. I can see the advantages of lite coin for faster payment. Things become clearer what all the fuzz is about BTC introducing segwit2. So no worries I am sure my deposit will be confirmed by miners eventually. Well one does hope.
18  Economy / Exchanges / No trade with BTC pending from bitstamp to Bittrex wallet on: June 20, 2017, 09:40:43 PM
Hi Everybody. I have a problem it seems. I have sent at 4pm this afternoon 4.7 BTC from bitstamp to bittrex. It showed up in my wallet within minutes but has been pending ever since. 6 1/2 hours now.
I have done the same transaction (different amount) before to the same wallet also from bitstamp to bittrex.I didn't tick the fast track box (0.1% extra) but never did before either. Is that normal?
On block chain website under the visualisation my transaction  comes up as :  Output is unspent and has no children

I have no idea what that means. I have only joined the block chain world a few months ago and I am still learning(a lot). Would be great if somebody could give me some advice. It is all the bitcoins I have got. It took me ages to get them together. On the upside: BTC has gone up by almost 10% since it has been pending in my wallet rather than me spending it on an altcoin Smiley
