People often joke that "America has the worst form of government on the planet except for all the others." It ain't perfect.
And it certainly isn't better than all the others. It has strengths and weaknesses in comparison to other large nation-states, and those are a matter of taste. There are small nation-states which have systems which are vastly preferable to the U.S. system, in my opinion, but they are generally special cases. Iceland is not too bad. Norway is fairly tolerable. I could almost stand Scotland. Singapore is rather decent. Chile, quite nice. Conceivably Paraguay. But then I've not lived there long enough to see the worst aspects, to judge how deeply they disturb me. We should get together and buy an island with bitcoins, call it Satoshi Island and have the currency as BTC of course, use the bitcoin protocol to vote trade etc.. and live happily ever after. Haha..remember http://www.sealandgov.org/ guys?

Why would somebody actually buy Gox right now ? It is a bad investment. Their brand is worth $-1 right now.
A million or whatever customer base, who want to continue trading? Must be worth alot. Im just looking for errors in my above statement, really. Trying to learn something.

Is there any big reason why not some of the heavy hitters would accuire mtgox and try to revive it as newgox/whatever pretty soon? It must surely be a very profitable businiess if done right?
Even a noob like me can imagine some plan to collect reputable bitcoin pros, put a in few hundred thousand coins and slowly regain faith and momentum?
Must be millions of early, sleeping coins ready to work?
And to take control of the currect "powervacuum" must be a pretty big target?

I am unable to see anything interesting in the big four exchanges. Gox and Btc-e are drifting, Stamp showing a few ups and downs, Cny just had some activity, but all of it is on relatively slim volume. Everyone seems to be waiting. For *something*.
Think I'll pour a large egg nog, heavy on the nog, and wait with the rest.
i think alot of people missed the multiple 15-25% drops that happened last week, and think "hell, i wont miss another one whatever I do" and just wait. They know it can be bad to wait in the end, but its not enough to stop dream of that lower buyin

Feels like the whales swam to close to land the last few days, and lost some speed. So they need to invoke some hope into the community again. With some of the hope back restored now and a few choo choo´s, they can get a better emotional response when they try to crash next time?

Now why would someone in China decide to drop so much BTC on sunday is another question
To make money off of the poor trading decisions made by others. How about alot of fiat is coing in this week (no brainer). And their "friends" want to set them up nice, low and healthy ventilated for the coming week?

In the name of Black Friday Mt. gox will have no trading fees tomorrow. Same goes for bitcoin.de btw. I predict high volume tomorrow.
link? They already removed the fees at gox btw

Gotta be time for a bit of a correction on MtGox, its steaming away from BitStamp
That 165 dollar (16%) difference sure looks tasty...

Anyone else have bistamp issues? My account shows correct values in USD and BTC. But when i try to trade it says i miss funds to do anything.
You probably have open orders under the market price. Go to your account and cancel them. phew..thanks alot..that solved it!

People still follow Gox? That exchange is f-ed up!
Still a relevant piece of the pie though. Sure is. People should be happy Gox is still in the mix. After the April crash, that's all anyone kept saying. How they wish there were multiple exchanges. We, here it is. Gotta take the good with the bad. Yeah with all these small shakes we see and the multiple exchanges we have now, it dont feel like april at all. It feels like it have to go alot higher before we see another april crash. So I wonder what going to surprise us with our pants down this time..lol

From a somewhat noobish and and amateur..
The -11 crash came after that hacked account right? And bitcoin lost its real virginity The april -12 came after a serious targeted attack that caused panic again.
Will next real crash (not correction) again come from something going wrong in a technical sense?
