Emergency shutdown: Yes, I can add something like this. However what exactly should happen after the temp-limit is reached on one of the GPUs? should zm terminate immediately? Also don't forget, a user-space program can't guarantee you to react properly with respect to this (the hardware or the driver can get unresponsive) - however it should work in most cases.
I'd say stop using overheated GPU and keep informing about it in console, like Claymore's or EWBF's behavior. I know, the driver or hardware will shutdown it in case of overheat, but 100° is not healthy. Maybe --temp-target can handle sudden rise of temperature and we don't need the emergency shutdown at all, but it's just not obvious from the description.

Hi all! First of all, sorry for my bad English.
I have a problem. my rig on win10, msi afterburner, zm 0.6, 8 nvidia GPU, at config i set temp limit 67. While i use remote desktop (teamviewer) all works well, temp limit reduce intensity at 67 and increase it back well. But if i disconnected from remote desktop intensity not increasing after reducing by temp limit and working at low hashrate. When i just reconnect to remote desktop intensity increasing back. Who can help me? p.s. the same situation at my 2 rig with 5 nvidia GPU.
Are you sure the performance drop is related to temperature controller? i.e. does it really only happen with temp-target enabled? Pls pm me your logfile, I'll check if there is something unusual. I have the same problem on win7, zm 0.6, temp limit 70°, 100% fan. When GPU start temperature control AND i don't watch it via Teamviewer, GPU usage drops and don't restore until i join TV again. Here is log of GPU usage drops on temp° controller and restores when i joined TV. 2018-04-28 18:34:04| GPU0 66C Sol/s: 525.0 Sol/W: 2.71 Avg: 534.6 I/s: 287.1 Sh: 0.94 1.00 94 2018-04-28 18:34:05| GPU1 60C Sol/s: 501.7 Sol/W: 3.33 Avg: 497.0 I/s: 266.2 Sh: 1.43 1.00 93 2018-04-28 18:34:05| GPU2 69C Sol/s: 526.3 Sol/W: 2.74 Avg: 536.0 I/s: 287.3 Sh: 0.98 1.00 78 2018-04-28 18:34:08| GPU3 66C Sol/s: 538.8 Sol/W: 2.74 Avg: 536.1 I/s: 287.1 Sh: 1.56 1.00 78 + 2018-04-28 18:34:10| GPU4 64C Sol/s: 475.5 Sol/W: 3.68 Avg: 487.3 I/s: 260.4 Sh: 0.85 1.00 78 ++ 2018-04-28 18:34:10| GPU5 69C Sol/s: 544.5 Sol/W: 2.67 Avg: 536.1 I/s: 287.6 Sh: 1.07 1.00 93 + 2018-04-28 18:34:11| ========== Sol/s: 3111.9 Sol/W: 2.98 Avg: 3127.1 I/s: 1675.7 Sh: 6.83 1.00 85 2018-04-28 18:34:24| GPU0 66C Sol/s: 535.6 Sol/W: 2.71 Avg: 534.7 I/s: 287.1 Sh: 0.92 1.00 94 2018-04-28 18:34:24|# GPU2 reached temperature target 70C 2018-04-28 18:34:24|# GPU2 enabling temperature controller 2018-04-28 18:34:25| GPU1 60C Sol/s: 501.4 Sol/W: 3.33 Avg: 497.1 I/s: 266.2 Sh: 1.41 1.00 93 2018-04-28 18:34:25| GPU2 64C Sol/s: 520.4 Sol/W: 2.74 Avg: 535.8 I/s: 276.6 Sh: 0.97 1.00 78 2018-04-28 18:34:28| GPU3 67C Sol/s: 536.9 Sol/W: 2.74 Avg: 536.1 I/s: 287.1 Sh: 1.54 1.00 78 2018-04-28 18:34:30| GPU4 64C Sol/s: 490.3 Sol/W: 3.68 Avg: 487.4 I/s: 260.4 Sh: 0.84 1.00 78 2018-04-28 18:34:31| GPU5 69C Sol/s: 530.4 Sol/W: 2.67 Avg: 536.0 I/s: 287.6 Sh: 1.06 1.00 93 2018-04-28 18:34:31| ========== Sol/s: 3114.9 Sol/W: 2.98 Avg: 3127.0 I/s: 1665.0 Sh: 6.73 1.00 85 2018-04-28 18:34:44|> GPU0 66C Sol/s: 533.8 Sol/W: 2.71 Avg: 534.6 I/s: 286.9 Sh: 0.91 1.00 94 2018-04-28 18:34:45|> GPU1 60C Sol/s: 494.6 Sol/W: 3.33 Avg: 497.0 I/s: 266.4 Sh: 1.39 1.00 93 2018-04-28 18:34:46|> GPU2 49C Sol/s: 120.0 Sol/W: 2.74 Avg: 529.7 I/s: 64.1 Sh: 0.95 1.00 78 2018-04-28 18:34:48|> GPU3 67C Sol/s: 536.2 Sol/W: 2.74 Avg: 536.1 I/s: 287.1 Sh: 1.52 1.00 78 2018-04-28 18:34:51|> GPU4 64C Sol/s: 485.2 Sol/W: 3.68 Avg: 487.3 I/s: 260.4 Sh: 0.82 1.00 78 2018-04-28 18:34:51|> GPU5 69C Sol/s: 536.8 Sol/W: 2.67 Avg: 536.0 I/s: 287.3 Sh: 1.08 1.00 78 + 2018-04-28 18:34:51| ========== Sol/s: 2706.5 Sol/W: 2.98 Avg: 3120.9 I/s: 1452.2 Sh: 6.68 1.00 83 2018-04-28 18:35:04|> GPU0 66C Sol/s: 535.0 Sol/W: 2.71 Avg: 534.7 I/s: 287.1 Sh: 0.94 1.00 78 + 2018-04-28 18:35:05|> GPU1 60C Sol/s: 498.8 Sol/W: 3.33 Avg: 497.0 I/s: 266.0 Sh: 1.37 1.00 93 2018-04-28 18:35:06|> GPU2 45C Sol/s: 120.2 Sol/W: 2.73 Avg: 523.9 I/s: 64.0 Sh: 0.98 1.00 78 + 2018-04-28 18:35:08|> GPU3 67C Sol/s: 537.0 Sol/W: 2.74 Avg: 536.1 I/s: 287.3 Sh: 1.50 1.00 78 2018-04-28 18:35:11|> GPU4 64C Sol/s: 495.4 Sol/W: 3.69 Avg: 487.5 I/s: 260.4 Sh: 0.81 1.00 78 2018-04-28 18:35:11|> GPU5 69C Sol/s: 536.2 Sol/W: 2.67 Avg: 536.0 I/s: 287.6 Sh: 1.07 1.00 78 2018-04-28 18:35:11| ========== Sol/s: 2722.7 Sol/W: 2.98 Avg: 3115.2 I/s: 1452.4 Sh: 6.67 1.00 80

And here is typical GPU usage and temp graphic: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.ibb.co%2FiVix1x%2Fscreenshot_22.png&t=663&c=LFhbZhRRQeL8TQ) One more question, dstm. Could you add temperature limit option for GPU emergency shutdown (like in Claymore)? The reason for having such option is that your temperature controller works best with 100% fan setting, but it destroy fan very quickly. So it's sometimes good to have PID on fan and hard temp° limit to be sure GPU will turn off if exceed the limit.

By the way, what about game development? Is that game related with Steam or another game exchange platform?

Hi All, I was reinstall my windows, and now I lost all btcz in my wallet, I'm using BitcoinZ Wallet 1.1.0_1.2 and I have private key. So can I restore my btcz in my wallet?
it's your reward to the whole community. I sympathize and thank for this donation... Join slack for help. If you have priv keys you are owner of your BTCZ coins. Wallet is just nice viewer of BitcoinZ blockchain network. You can always use web wallet and import priv key: https://mybtczwallet.org/How about Yobit exchange? Have you sent them request for listing our coin, dev? Thanks. From https://yobit.net to add coin: Listing type: • Free - 0.00 btc - no guarantee • Premium - 0.1 btc - 4-7 business days (no guarantee in case of compilation issues) • Exclusive - 0.5 btc - 2-3 business days (no guarantee in case of compilation issues)So for just 0.1 btc we can add it for sure.

REMINDER FOR NEW AND EXISTING USERS If you mining, or planning to mine BTCZ, please leave Suprnova, that pool has more than 50% of hashrate, what isnt good. Im running BTCZ pool, with: - 0% fee - 1% donation to BTCZ community http://equihashpool.pro/How to connect? EWBF: miner --server equihashpool.pro --user wallet.user --pass x --port 3032 --pec DSTM: zm --server equihashpool.pro --port 3032 --user wallet.user --pass x Also if you dont like my pool, you dont have to join my pool. You can join any other mining pool (other than Suprnova.) Join the great pool with just 1% goes to BTCZ.

Everybody who ask about what is better - small pool or big pool, here is little explanation. Every pool or miner has "Luck" parameter, Luck = Net_hashrate / Pool_hashrate * Time_of_block. For example, let it be Suprnova pool with Pool_hashrate=2 MSol, Net_hashrate=3.5 MSol, Time_of_block=2.5 min, Luck = 3.5/2*2.5 = 4.375 min. So this pool will find little more than every 2nd block (as it has little more than 50% of net hashrate). Okay, lets take 2 pools with those Lucks: Pool1 with Luck1=0.003day (suprnova, 2 MSol of 3.5 MSol nethash, 4.3 min/block), Pool2 with Luck2=0.3day (equihashpool.pro with 20 KSol). For time when equihashpool find 1 block, suprnova will find 100 blocks. There is also a little probability that equihashpool won't find any block a whole day, (1-20/3500)^blocks_per_day = 0.9943^576 = 3.7%. If pool has Luck=1 day, it's few % that pool won't find any block even for a week (but same probability that it find 7 blocks in a day). Thats why you have to stay on little pool for some days, because they are more chaotic and dependant on random. If pool has found a block, it pays all miners value = Miner_own_shares / Pool_round_shares * 12500 BTCZ. So all pools are equal in long term (in case they are fair, but most of them are). By the way, come to http://equihashpool.pro/ pool. No dev fee and 1% donation to BTCZ. Blocks are found not often because it need more hashrate, but payments are fair.

It seems like BTCZ is over? Extremely low net hash and trade rate. No any activity from developpers...
BTCZ is not over at all, still young that's it. From my pov this ANN is good for technical things (wallet, mining, ideas for community...) If you want fresh feed, you can join the Slack: http://slack.bitcoinz.global really great with devs over there. As a second good source of news i use twitter: https://twitter.com/BitcoinZTeamHope it help and long life to BitcoinZ What differendes in technical from Zcash, zcl and any other clones on equihash? Wallet is the same unprotected w/o encryption or any pay password (node wallet). ZCL is abandoned by dev (or gone into ZEN) and nobody wants necromancery. Zcash has 20% dev fee. BTG is suspicious fork, ZEN has own roadmap etc... BTCZ is classic decentralized coin with active dev and community (according to this thread, full of enthusiasm and donation wishes ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ). It's still not so breakthrough, but solid and better than many others.

You obviously have no clue what you're talking about, if you knew anything you'd do a few clicks and realize there's development, a new wallet is going to be released shortly. By the way "I can see this's miners community and no one care about the growth of the coin" are you an OXYMORON? that doesn't even make sense, at all. The ONLY reason Bitcoin exists in the first place is because of the mining community, do some research. I can see this's miners community and no one care about the growth of the coin but to mine and sell it at any price. Too bad this coin is still not listed on Coinexchange despite low listing cost. Shame on the devs. It means Anthony was the only one getting things moving. Investors are not foolish as you think.
I'm trying to spread the word, but all people ask about difference between BTCZ and ZCL. It seems exact copy of ZCL: both zk-SNARK, both 2.5 minute per block, both no premine/ICO/devfee, both community-driven and decentralized, and so on... The only difference is 21bil vs 21mil supply and "bitcoin" in the name. So if this community want to make a great coin, why not to take ZCL source and infrastructure and keep working?

How can I encrypt my bitcoinz wallet? That function doesnt work on my wallet. Thanks
You can't at this moment as i know, consider using usb flash or encrypt folder/disk partition for security This is a feature, that should be added (among others) if we want btcz to be usable as fiat helper, as llbrunoll said: To BTCz community
did you know guys, that some countries in Africa are going through crazy inflation with their Fiat money, and people there started using alt coins to avoid that? We could try a direct marketing in Africa... because BTCz is very cheep now , and markets could emerge from there . We have to start thinking out of the BTC traditional world. If we are going to be great, we have to be where land is still fresh to seed.
Do we have any Central/South Africa representative. Any user from there is following this forum
If not, lets found someone. Learn the communication channels, and spread the word (also, get new devs. from there)
Also we need good mobile wallet. But i doubt that we donate enough to implement all those features and spread the word. Look at largest pool with donation, at the moment Miningspeed has 700ksol (from 5msol nethash) and 0.4% donation, which is only 2800btcz/day, $8 per day for whole community ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) . Maybe we can ask suprnova to add voluntary donations for community, not for themselves?

What about having a Donation address , so we can feed Faucets , and make the coin more popular? Many people look for faucets today. There are faucets giving 350sat / day . So -considering current price- we need to allow at least 1 or 0.5 BTCz each hours to really call the attention to the coin. Any supporter?
Great idea to help this coin go forward and I guess many people would help a bit. I'm ready too if there were some info on how to do that.
