1  Other / Off-topic / Re: What’s the weirdest thing that you’ve kept in your wallet? on: January 30, 2021, 12:31:33 AM
It may not be what some would call weird but in my Teenager days I use to always carry protection around with me.

Protection being a condom because I was a ladies man and you never know when the magic opportunity was going to present itself.

I remembered the day I thought I have protection in my wallet. I eagerly and excitedly go with it. And when I checked my wallet. It is gone already. Might have used it before already.. So yeah, we don't miss those magic opportunities so, yeah.
2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Plagiarised Bounty content on: January 30, 2021, 12:04:45 AM
I feel this is a bit hard to justify from the plagiarized side, as the fonts and mistakes are the same. But I would agree that in most cases bounties has the same rules and regulations, and also details about them.

Is there rules or pointers on plagiarism in this forum? I think there should be.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: The sale of the COVID-19 vaccine on the dark web continues. on: January 23, 2021, 03:06:08 AM
Probably those people in the tech industry and are anxious to have the vaccine as early as possible. If it's free then there is a possibility that it will somehow run supplies. Some people will probably wait for a lot longer than others.

But 1000usd for a vaccine is too much. I had news that 1 Moderna vaccine sells at 75usd only.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, you want to get sued by a scammer? on: January 23, 2021, 02:52:23 AM
What? HAHA! so he was trying to control the distribution of the white paper? So what, he can release it on Amazon Kindle? He would do this, all of this, for money?

I'm not that familiar with him, is he somehow related to Craig's List?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Help me Hitbtc on: January 23, 2021, 02:47:19 AM
You've gone through all those things just so they can say that your account can't be unlocked? Are you sure you are talking to real HitBTC support? Maybe you can file a legal case if you are really talking to real HitBTC support.

One thing that can also help you here is posting it on Twitter tagging their social account. Ask friends to retweet it. Post it here so we can help.

EDIT: You might have accidentally reposted it OP https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5311679.0;topicseen
6  Other / Meta / Re: To truly discourage unlawful bitcointalk sales of account on: January 17, 2021, 05:54:21 AM
Then this forum will have lots of High-rank accounts that spam. If accounts can be easily bought with money then this forum will be filled with people who really don't know how the forum works and even the ecosystem of cryptocurrencies. They will be no match for those who hardly earned their ranks through experience and helping people.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the co-vid19 vaccine ? on: January 15, 2021, 02:27:33 AM
when media shows hundreds of thousands of people die due to covid. .. nothing
when media shows 23 die due to something else. conspiracy world go insane

Depends on the country I must say. In our place, covid is a big problem. Yes, it is a third-world country thus we value our lives more because hospital payments are high.
8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the co-vid19 vaccine ? on: January 14, 2021, 10:25:05 AM
I am a doctor, and i got my first shot of mrna vaccine a few days ago. I'm feeling good like now, i will let you know if I turn into a potato or something.

Waiting for his update.. I hope he's okay. How do we know if you turn into a potato or something? Haha kidding aside I hope you are okay. Did you somehow have or had these side effects?

Quote
The most commonly reported side effects, which typically lasted several days, were pain at the injection site, tiredness, headache, muscle pain, chills, joint pain, and fever. - https://www.fda.gov/emergency-preparedness-and-response/coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19/pfizer-biontech-covid-19-vaccine

9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the co-vid19 vaccine ? on: January 14, 2021, 10:19:55 AM
A bit scared. But we need something to make us immune to the virus. I won't let the virus get in me and make me suffer. For me, it is better to risk. But if the mask will still work, then I might delay the vaccination.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to take BITCOIN profit without selling? on: January 13, 2021, 05:24:30 AM
Yes, you missed something.
You forgot to click their links.  Grin
That link will still direct you to trading with sign-ups and maybe even needs an initial payment to maximize revealing their secrets.
I'd go away from watching all those advertisements on Youtube.
Anyway, if it's not a trading simulation then be more careful. It could be HYIP.

HAHa OP you will know once you click the link and sign up for an amount of dollar. But kidding aside there is no way that would be possible. Profiting without selling a single coin or diminishing your bitcoin balance..
11  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] List of fake wallets/apps on Google Play. on: January 13, 2021, 03:36:11 AM

Sh*t! That is really scary. I would have downloaded that if I see it. The first mycelium seems legit-looking in the name of the app and the logo. I really wonder if google play store even scans these programs. Or maybe they only scan lines of codes that might affect the android system itself.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If a BTC portfolio gains millions of dollars... on: January 11, 2021, 09:20:35 AM
This is possible but I would suggest doing this on your local country exchange. Doing it this way will make it much easier for you. Like others here say, you will most probably have to verify your identity and it will be much easier if you can easily travel to offices and some sort if problem arise. These exchanges will have limits on cash movement and you will never get bypass it. So yes you cannot transfer it in one go.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Another scam bounty campain Yearn.Global on: January 11, 2021, 09:13:44 AM

The project bounty manager should have at least checked the background of the campaign first. Isn't downpayment for the bounty manager possible? That should make the scam project move away from the bounty manager.

It is not as easy as you think, i believe no bm would deliberately want to promote a project of scammers, the bm must have done the normal background checking no doubt and the team appears to be trusted only to later discover they are not,
when things like this happen, the first thing many will assume is the bm did not do a proper check but we shouldn't forget that a project can turned scam or rug pull when you list expect, no project will agree to be scammers until they turned out to be one.

I agree. I also think the bounty manager checked the project first because it is his/her time that is at stake here. But what I was saying is that isn't it possible that the project pays a downpayment first or to escrow the fund first to be paid to the bounty manager? This way the bounty manager can see that the project is serious.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Problem with Ledger Nano S on: January 11, 2021, 09:01:46 AM
No the original seed phrase was with a family member who moved and it seems to have been lost. Not 100% confirmed but pretty close to it.

If I had the original phrase I would have given it a try, but the part I'm unclear on is how after a full reset and new seed phrase set up it would even be possible to have transferred the coins to the old wallet setup.

I think electrum can show different wallets in one session. Maybe you mistakenly used the old address and not reconnected the new address on your ledger nano s.

I have a ledger nano s  and I only use the ledger live. I have before used it in electrum but reverted back to ledger live because of the reason that it's too technical for me. And there are lots of functions I kind of don't need at the moment.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do I still have a chance to get profit? on: January 08, 2021, 05:53:27 AM
Well, it seems they manage to hit their road map by releasing the exchange.

They didn't say here that they will work on listing their coin to other exchanges. Well, that is probably because they are an exchange. As of the moment, there is nothing you can do but wait and hope the exchange will be popular like Binance.

Hello
Viktor | BintexFutures|
Admin all good with Yearn.Global? when distribution?
Dmitry
It looks like a scam
Yearn Global
Dmitry
I am a hired bounty manager, I am not in the project team, I was also cheated with payment. I apologize.

Viktor | BintexFutures|
I understand you, this is not your fault, thanks for the answer and all the best!

The project bounty manager should have at least checked the background of the campaign first. Isn't downpayment for the bounty manager possible? That should make the scam project move away from the bounty manager.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin vs. Textbook TA on: January 07, 2021, 03:13:09 AM
TA is just there for guidelines use it is not an actual representation of what will happen. Bitcoin shows that it is. It keeps on hitting an all-time high.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The viability of Trading Bots. on: January 06, 2021, 02:56:25 AM
I really think the bot will be a good help for some traders who want to spend some time away from the monitor to do other things besides watching the valleys and mountains in the markets form.
I think the problem is simply that many people believe a bot is a "get rich fast" tool that you set up once, run for months, and then just cash out 1xx BTC in profit.
In my experience, a bot is simply a very good support to execute your own trading strategy much faster, more targeted and most importantly, with pinpoint accuracy. Nothing more. If your strategy is bad, so is the bot.

Is there a bot you know that users can configure for their own strategy available in the market or is there nothing like it? Do you really need to be good at scripting to build the bot?
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The viability of Trading Bots. on: January 05, 2021, 04:39:42 AM
~
I doubt that I will be releasing it since I don't want to be responsible for anybody's loss, keep in mind that non of these trades is closed yet, while the majority of them won't be losing (given the strategy that I use), there is still no guartnee that they will make even half the profit you see in the picture, so I woudn't say it's impressive yet, I will keep this topic updated for further disccsuion.
I am just giving you some possibilities, you also should be proud of your creation my guy. Even if it is not yet yielding you profits, you shouldn't be ashamed. Regarding the possibility of releasing your bot for commercial use, I have heard a lot of people that say they wouldn't release it, don't be a pessimist.  Wink Wink Wink

Maybe if he releases this for free with the "use it at your own risk" tagline then there would not be a problem in his conscience. I get his point that he doesn't want to be responsible for any loss as he is just sharing a study.

Based on the first logs on the study, the bot seems good. It's positive still so it is still good.
20  Economy / Lending / Re: What to do with two physical bitcoins on: January 05, 2021, 03:46:12 AM
Someone who's collecting coins probably would find value for those coins. Especially if there are collectors and if your coin somehow has history on it.

But, may I ask, do your coin has 1 BTC "loaded". Like do you mean it has an address inside and that is loaded with 1 BTC?
