Sorry I am new to Linux/python, I need a little help setting it up.
I am using linux BAMT with 4 Sapphire Toxic 280x.
I did this:

        sudo apt-get install python-pip

        sudo apt-get install python-dev

        sudo pip install pycrypto

4. Open cgminer-monitor.py in an editor and set the user configurations at the top
5. Open cgminer-commander.py in an editor and set the user configurations at the top

Now what?? I feel like I am missing something.

Are these files suposed to be in a specific place: cgminer-monitor.py , cgminer-commander.py ?

You could post the completed list (person - refund address) here then when each person posts confirmation that it is their correct refund address you send it to them, that might help.

I think we should wait for an update from Avalon about the test chips to make a decision - just to see how many we are getting and whatnot before we decide anything. I say this fully expecting not to get any (only ordered 26 and I don't need to test with just 1).

If people can get the Avalon chips to work that would be easily 10x difficulty right there. They are selling in batches of 10,000-200,000 @ 282MH/s each, that is 2.8TH/s for each batch of 10,000 which is pretty insane. There are only 240 in each Avalon @ 66GH/s. I can imagine some people just putting 1000 in a machine and having 10 of those np.
