1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I'm looking for an "all-in-one" alt coin block explorer website. Any help? on: July 05, 2017, 12:45:58 AM
im not sure people are understanding what im looking for exactly. let me try to explain...

if you go to etherscan.io and create an account you can add multiple wallet address and monitor them all and create notification conditions from a single place on the website. A similar thing can be accomplished with blockcypher with BTC, LTC, and a few other altcoins. I'm looking for a site that does this with a larger number of coins.

Try this one:

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/

Cryptoid has a bunch of block explorers
This is almost what I'm looking for. This lacks some user functionality like subscribing to addresses and a notification system. Still a great site I wasnt aware of.

I'm looking for a website like etherscan.io or blockcypher.com that specializes in all the major altcoins, utilizing a "subscribe to address" feature. I'm frustrated with having to use multiple websites to gather information and trigger notifications. Is there a block explorer website that dabbles in more currencies?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: If you are thinking of mining... learn what DIFFICULTY is first. on: June 10, 2017, 12:00:06 AM
Thank you for explaining it to this newbie.

I'll use ETH as an example. I'm operating under the assumption that it's popularity (and hence market cap) is bound to rise faster than its difficulty. While mining rewards may dwindle as difficulty rises, the value of mined coins rises faster. Of course, we have no way to know for sure, but is my reasoning at least based on good logic?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / This can't be real... is my math correct? on: June 09, 2017, 10:51:25 PM
So I've been lurking around this forum, random YouTube channels and websites looking at information on getting into GPU mining. I decided to finally register here because I have a question on calculating profits from a GPU mining rig. This is the pre-built rig I've been looking at...

https://mineshop.eu/ethereum-miner/ethereum-miner-eth-gpu-mining-amd-rx470-detail

This is my power usage... I rounded up to 0.14 USD.

This is the "profit" calculated.

This just can't be real. Why isn't everyone doing this? I understand that ETH rises in complexity, but anyone can buy/build a rig. What am i missing?
