This helps a lot. Cheers man!

Thanks man, literally trying that now. Can you OC in Drivers? Or do you have a template for OC-ing in Claymore's config file to share?

So does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to get the blockchain driver working on 1709?
Looks like not?

NVIDIA released CUDA 9.0 recently and 384.94 is running that driver Here is the extracted part of CUDA 9.0.103 runtime from CUDA 9 RC, or you can download the full package on official developer website. https://mega.nz/#F!sZMCyIAS!1AZqkgvW5BUtZJlgQx2waQBesides, CUDA 9.0 said "PERFORM 2X FASTER OUT OF THE BOX WITH PASCAL GPUS". I expect have slight improvement in mining although it may improve the 3D performance only. Was wondering for some time can CUDA 9.0 bring some improvements to the miners. @Claymore Have you explored CUDA 9.0? Does it brings something to the table for mining algorithms?

Hey Claymore,
First of all thanks for all amazing work you have done!
I'm wondering have you looked at CUDA 9.0? Does it brings something that can potentially boost nVidia cards performance?
|
|
|
Yeah, I bet just compiling won't help. Low level programming is a Spanish village to me but I guess guys developing miners can squeeze some Mhs out of Cuda 9.0 improvements..

I saw latest nVidia drivers got Cuda 9.0 code. Any rumors/info if Cuda 9.0 is bringing something for mininig software? Maybe we can see some MH/s bump?

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu2.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0xb31C43330eB34b685C2135e7fBbCe230622357E4 -epsw xxxxxxx@gmail.com -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal xxxxxx.Rig1 -dpsw x -allpools 1The underlined part is for Ethereum, the bold text is for Decred. I'm using Claymore 9.7. For Ether i use the ethermine pool and for Decred i use suprnova. Remember that on the suprnova site you have to edit your account (fill in your payout adres) and edit your workers. Unlike for ethereum where you fill in the payout adress in the commandline, for Decred you fill it in on the suprnova website. I do have a question for other people. What Decred pool is best? And what payout method? On https://bitmakler.net/mining_Decred-DCR__pools i see that suprnova has the second largest pool, is that good or bad? And the top pool is ( https://www2.coinmine.pl/dcr/ - Decred pool) has a notification saying Payout scheme has been changed to PPLNS Is this a good change? I couldnt find the payment scheme for suprnova. Thanks man. Thou I figured it out. I tired DCR in dual and decided to go back to SIA. It's reducing ETH hash by a lot and in general hashs are not stable on ETH+DCR dual. If I had more rigs I would definitely put some on DCR but with just 4 rigs I'm sticking with ETH+SIA.

Hey guys,
Can someone share .BAT settings for dual mining ETH + DCR on suprnova. I could not find on their site how to set Claymore. And their site is totally confusing, how and where do I track workers?
Maybe you can suggest better DCR pool?
Thanks.
Edit: Just found some info. Do I create worker and just set "-dwal myusername.workerusername" ?

Hey fellas,
I'm mining ETH+SC for now but I'm thinking of trying ETH+DCR. Can you share your hashrates with RX470/480, GTX1070/1060?
Thanks.

Get Claymore 9.5. Update Windows 10! Use DDU to remove drivers. Install latest drivers.

Hey guys,
Is it safe/possible to put 4+4Pin CPU branch into 8Pin PCIe GPU?
It is not possible to directly use a PCIe cable that was included with your PSU but if you are handy with using a soldering iron or making custom pin crimpings, you can utilize this often unused connector on your PSU. Just be aware that the 4+4pin CPU connector has 4 +12V wires and 4 grounds, whereas the PCIe 8-pin has only 3 +12V and 5 grounds (one is used as a sense pin). There are many pin-out diagrams on the Internet of the two connectors and how the wires are terminated, even the link bathrobehero posted has a good diagram with an overview of the differences. Always double-check with a volt meter before plugging any modified cables into your equipment to be sure you got the wiring right and you should be fine. Thanks for the answer. I'll pass on trying my luck with modding cables and go with ordering "super cheap" custom made cables.

Thanks guys. Lets burn some cables.

Can you set Claymore to share mined ETH to two wallets and set how much percentage to send to one and how much to another?
|
|

Dammit. Don't have another one, at least one that is not mining. :/ What are good(safe) alternatives for ETC then?

Hi,
I am using local Ethereum(Mist) Wallet. I just installed Ethereum Classic Wallet and when I launched it blockchain was synchronized(same like on Ethereum Wallet) and my Ethereum wallet account is also there. What's the deal? I can use both for holding both ETH and ETC wallet accounts? By the way I'm on macOS.

I want to build 1070 rig, I have few choices:
Palit GeForce GTX 1070 Dual 8GB - 480e Palit GeForce GTX 1070 Jetstream 8GB - 530e Gainward GeForce GTX 1070 8GB - 480e Gainward GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Phoenix - 530e
What do you think? Is the 480e cards good enough for ETH/Zcash mining, and is there big difference between these 4 cards? Can I dual mine with these cards?
Well with high prices of the hardware right now your ROI will take some time, like 3 and a half months. Huge increases of difficulty every day is also not on your side, lets hope that price will follow at least. You won't probably get rich like early adopters but still you will see ROI and some gains, how much can't say it, all depends when will Ethereum move to POS and how much difficulty will go up. People are talking that after ETH goes POS something else will replace it, like ETC... and indeed it will but how profitable will it be that's a huge question. I'm in the same boots like you, just started mining with 3 rigs. I would recommend you if you want to start, start asap. Time is not on your side.
