1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does anybody has experience with CryptoRig.com? on: December 28, 2013, 05:20:06 AM
We were not very responsive this week due to a major holiday, it's called Christmas Smiley

This issue is resolved. We offered a full refund or compensation for late delivery. Sometimes things happen that are outside of our control, like part shortages and shipping delays during the holiday season.

We still do whatever we can to make the situation right for the customer.

Could we please get tracking info for our shipment?
6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Blue Fury Miners V2 2.6Gh/s on: October 27, 2013, 04:12:29 AM
heres some things now:

1) No word of compensation to calm us down
2) 3 weeks late on shipping
3) Price went from BTC.9 to now they are being dumped @ BTC.5999 and only 300 have been shipped.

I want a refund im done with the games
1) Just announced
2) We are two weeks late. We first planned on shipping mid October
3) Maidak is selling at less then it cost to buy from us. That price is only for his last 20 units.

Can you confirm our payment and add us to authorized resellers? That payment should have cleared a while ago. I also sent you several pms that have gone unanswered, I am assuming because of the flood of messages and how busy you are assembling units.

Has anyone ordered from cryptorig.com? Is this site legit? I placed a pre-order for 2 Blue Fury's last week and have sent them an e-mail on Wednesday but still haven't heard back from them... About to call my bank to file a fraud report and get a charge back,  Undecided

We are legit and respond to all emails the same day they are received. All request for support need to be sent to cryptorig@gmail.com. We would be happy to cancel your order if you contact us. Please reference you username here in the email so that I know that this has been resolved.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Cryptorig.com Custom GPU Mining Rigs on: June 20, 2013, 07:15:55 AM

With all the recent media coverage there are many newcomers interested in mining that lack the experience or technical knowledge to design and build their own rigs

The best advice would be... "don't". At $2000 for 1800KH/s, at $0.18/kWh, 5% diminishing return each month for diff increase (ya right), over 2 years to pay off the device.

Miner telling other miners not to mine... You are assuming in your calculations that the exchange rate of all crypto coins will stay the same over 2 years. There were numerous times when bitcoin was under $50 that people made similar assumptions and said "it's not worth it" and "don't bother". Then there are the crypto coin millionaires. You are entitled to your opinion, but there are more appropiate threads to voice them in. Let's try to stay on topic here. Thanks

Sorry but I think sellbuy is right... Weren't you some chump on ebay around a month ago? I like the new professional look Wink

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, that is not our listing. Just another of the numerous people that have copied our ad and are charging more than we do. I have not heard back from anyone who claimed to be able to build this identical rig with all the same brand new parts for less than $1300. No one is able to back up their claims?

In response to all of your comments:
I really appreciate the constructive criticism that some of you left. However when people call my product crap and call me a chump I am not going to take it lying down. I treat my customers well, but people that are disrespectful are not customers that I want to have. I wasn't expecting many mining rig clients from these forums because most people know how to build rigs themselves. I am attempting to make connections as a business that accepts Bitcoins. Reading the forums I see a lot of camaraderie and people working together to advance crypto coin development, awareness and acceptance. I am also adding powered risers to my website and thought that some of you might need those for your own builds. For people that don't know how to build or configure a rig, and don't have the time or inclination to learn, a service like this is the only way to get involved in mining. A preconfigured mining rig is not something you can pick up at the local computer store. If you could buy a rig and tech support with setup from a big-box store it would cost much more than we are charging. My prices and technical support are better than my competitors. Around $1500 in parts goes in to these builds, whoever said they can get this for $900 please share that info with all of us. Anyone that thinks that these rigs are overpriced after taking into account the cost of providing tech support for 6 months, parts, and overhead has obviously never run a business before. Whether you experienced rig builders see the value of this product and service or not there is still a market out there for it and we are one of the best companies around. I welcome additional constructive comments!

Can't spell custom. Not sure if scam, or just bad spelling.

Right. Because everyone knows that any company that has ever had a typo is obviously a scam. Please continue spell checking our website and post any more typos you find. Thanks

You are of course welcome to select and pay for any shipping arrangements you like, the postage calculator is for UPS which is competitive in some regions and less so in others.

About our company:
CryptoRig LLC was founded to design and build gpu mining rigs for crypto coins. With all the recent media coverage there are many newcomers interested in mining that lack the experience or technical knowledge to design and build their own rigs, even with the spectacular guides written by members here. Mining rigs are sold on our website, CryptoRig.com, and on eBay. Our prices are very competitive with only a small profit margin. We also customize and sell hybrid gaming/mining rigs on request. We offer 6 months of free technical support with every sale. This includes overclocking, operational tutorial and demonstration, remote setup and remote assistance. The mining rigs are completely configured and ready to mine right out of the box. Our services are designed to be scalable to our customers experience level, from complete crypto newcomers to experienced miners. We accept orders and payment through our website in the form of Bitcoin payment via BitPay, credit cards, and bank transfer. Our mining rigs ship worldwide, we have clients on every continent. We believe in crypto currencies and want to see the community expand and flourish!

From our founder:
Hello, my name is Michael and I am one of the founders of Crypto Rig LLC.
I really enjoy designing and building rigs for people, one of the rare cases of actually doing what I love. I am doing my best to increase crypto coin awareness in Portland, Oregon where I live and operate my business. To that end I just signed a marketing deal to advertise on over 120 digital billboards locally. I would love to finance bringing Bitcoin ATMs to Portland as well. If you are a like-minded business owner and have an idea for a collaboration or cross promotion I would like to hear from you. We have reached the point where we need to hire people to help develop and expand our interests. We are currently looking for experienced php coders, graphic and web designers to assist with our ongoing growth. If you are an upstanding member of the community and are interested in working with us please send me a message. Thank you!

Thanks.Good to know. Grin. Any ideas on whether its best to get the sapphire or msi 7950's? and where to buy cheaply.
Also how accurate are the litecoin calcs. I understand there is a depreciation over time but how much per m/y.
waiting for my parts for my rig now. Seems like ages away....

I usually buy parts at newegg, if you have shoprunner you get free 2 day shipping there which is great. I just bought 6 of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202030 and they are working well in 2 different 3 card rigs. $289 is a good price for hd7950s, and you can sell the free game codes that come with them as well. The online calcs are good at determining todays profit but theres no way to know what the proft will be in a a few months.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best GPU for mhash per electricity usage? on: April 19, 2013, 09:49:26 AM
Hd7950s! 7970 use a lot more power, and cost 30% more for 17% improvement in H/s. hd7950s only use around 200w each. Much better long term. I use 7950 in all the rigs I build, unless I have a customer that can't be talked out of using 7970s Smiley
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your advice? on: April 19, 2013, 09:36:07 AM
Hold onto the coins atleast till they hit $100 $200. More and more stores are accepting btc now. It's actually pretty easy to sign up with a company like bitpay so they never even have to handle bitcoins if they don't want to. They will be taking them in the self serve checkout lane at the supermarket in no time  Smiley

edit: tired, meant 200, give it a few weeks  Wink
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newie about to buy hardware on: April 19, 2013, 09:30:10 AM
I think it's worth doing, gpu rigs are versatile and you could switch to other coins as needed. You will get your money back eventually, just build them as energy efficient as possible with gold+ psu. I would stay away from bitcoins, that's not a good use of a gpu rig, try LTC.
