I feel like the internet has changed my life in all the right ways. I have educated myself much further online and continue to educate myself. I've worked for several years now online and from home which I am grateful for. I'm also in a relationship beyond four years living together which started on the internet. I think in other ways my life has changed for the better as well. Not to mention all the entertainment available and the ease of communication, research, shopping, and so on. If you know how to manage your time on the internet and be strategic it unlocks so many opportunities. Training your attention and ability to focus on intentions and goals will reduce wasting time.

I think basically if left to our own devices humans will destroy the environment completely including ourselves. However I do feel some optimism, because I think the exponential rates of change within certain technologies could be what saves us from completely making our own home uninhabitable. It is legal where I am. Although it is certainly illegal in many places it is interesting that many people still seem to have outdated beliefs about it as well. For instance, the idea that marijuana is "dangerous" or makes you "dumb." As long as you are an adult it doesn't lower your intelligence and it has many medical properties as well. Not every person that uses cannabis is a drug abuser. Please stop using sweeping generalizations. Studies have even shown an increase in IQ for people who use light to moderate amounts. I wish more people would do research to understand beyond propaganda and misinformation.
