1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: any site that sell bitcoin for skrill/amazon card? very small amounts. on: July 08, 2017, 07:26:14 PM
Nobody use Virwox for that anymore, if you have a small sum better to use a website like Paxful.com or Localbitcoins.com, There are allot of merchants both buying and selling bitcoins for these items and the value can be better than Virwox if you can provide ID's and such, to prove the legitimacy of your funds.

Bitcoin is a complete payment system, this is how it was made and what it was intended to be, The fact it serves as a store of value with volatility and the ability to earn profit trading and hedging it is an additional aspect that does not change it's intentional purpose of a cross-border payment system with no restrictions and central authority.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many gambling sites have been hacked? on: July 04, 2017, 12:47:45 PM
I like to delve into bitcoin history a lot. as we all know there've been a ton of crypto exchanges that have been hacked, but i'm really struggling to think of any gambling sites that have been hacked. maybe I haven't been paying enough attention.

does anyone know how many there've been? they seem like obvious targets to me with masses of coins flowing through them.

what are they doing differently compared to exchanges? i'll guess plenty of exchanges are inside jobs. does this mean gambling site operators are incentivized to be more honest in general too?

The only one that I could think of that was "hacked" was Dicebitco.in, Of course, This hack was pretty much doubted by everyone considering the style the website went down with. Other than that, no website went offline because of a hack in the recent months that I could remember (a big one, at least), PD was cheated for thousands of coins, but through a betting exploit not through hacking and emptying of wallets.
