Of course there are ways to make tons of money on garbage coins and there's ways that good projects might not share enough with coin owners (maybe too many coins?)
But purely from the basis of actually solving a unique problem, which projects do that?

We need to stop calling these a "scam" and rather just point out the bad business plan. There are true scams and no one is listening when we point out bad business and pump and dump fake coin forks as the same thing.
BANCOR IS NOT A SCAM.
However, they would have to be VERY successful for you to make your money back given the ICO size.
They have a neat tech and the fundamentals of increasing liquidity through their token process is all good. The bad side? I just don't see how they will ever be popular enough to make back the money raised for the investors. The pump of ETH has really set everything down stream into a hype frenzy.
We wouldn't care about 400k ETH being raised if ETH was at a mature value. But currently, there is a good market high and a 30%+ correction will come, wiping that fiat value out of BANCOR with it.
I would say Bancor already IS very successful, considering the amount of value they acquired. There is just no reason why this would translate to a high value of BNT. The ICO size has nothing to do with this. Even if only 10ETH had been transferred to Bancor, BNT would still be a bad coin to buy under the provided structure. This has everything to do with the purpose of the coin. Something that people indeed don't seem to care for, as 2bfree and ECB point out. Astonishing really. It will be very interesting to observe how this develops. Fair enough. So still the same point... Maybe not a good investment, but not scam. We need to be able to differentiate scams and poor investments.

Where is technical white paper?
On website it states to sign up to be notified of it posting, but there is no link.
Flat rate of 0.75 USD per token at the ICO, right?
With no protoype?

What problem does this coin solve? Where is the white paper?
New code or Bitcoin fork?

Minexcoin is built on bitcoin code...
Changes include:
MinexCoin (MNC) is based on Bitcoin’s source code. We chose bitcoin’s code base due to its proven reliability. In order to accelerate transactions, block size was increased to 2 MB while block time was reduced to 2 minutes and 45 seconds
Any other changes to code? Network?
With such a goal as both reserve currency (store of value) as well as daily payment use (transactional currency), how will you manage scaling vs speed issues longterm?
Problems solved with this project:
- volatility via autonomous smart bank - planned market place and exchanges for easier interaction - what else?
Regarding Minexbank:
MinexBank is a closed source app, though some of its features are accessible to users via the official website. At MinexBank, users may browse existing interest rates for parking payments, and file up a request to receive interest for coin parking operations. In order to protect the assets, the bank’s reserve is stored in cold wallets
At present stage, MinexBank uses hybrid governance, which implies that the algorithm’s decisions are monitored by a group of professional economists. At early phases of the system’s operation, the team reserves the right to introduce amendments to the algorithm’s parameters in order to promptly prevent emerging risks and guarantee steady work of the entire system. Once the algorithm is fine-tuned, MinexBank will become a decentralized autonomous organization. At final phases, the platform’s financial activity will be completely free of human involvement, and use algorithms set earlier.
Since it is closed source, what is public information to track that the bank is not further manipulating the price of the coin? What will we see to know the bank is running as stated and not compromised? How will we know the overlords have stepped away once the machine is running? This is crucial to longterm success.

Interesting Project with some good features. You will need to focus heavily on payment adoption. The minexcoin market place will not be enough but will help.
So to join the ICO:
Make minexcoin account? Send BTC to the minexcoin wallet?
In my account it now tells me I have XXX bitcoin.
The get minexcoin page says: Bitcoins will be credited after the transactions confirmations will be 3.
What does that mean?
Will I have to wait until after tomorrow for any added BTC to be converted to minexcoin based on total participation?
My BTC transaction shows in my minexcoin account, but the investor chat is not live. Have to wait for conversion to MNX?
