1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: April 25, 2013, 11:18:39 PM
I would also like to add, if you buy now, you are in the back of the orders so you are most likely not going to see yours until sometime in 2013. Let me break that down really quick with some basic assumptions.

$2500 in btc now = 17.24 @$145

If the price goes up to $500 that would be $8620 if $1000 = $17240

Those prices are very real.

You are not paying in BTC when buying from BL if i am correct. You are only paying the flat fee even for the Jalapeno at 250... but still even if you are only getting 1 of those and are not getting it for how long that is still 250 that you are out until you finally get it in 2014 sometime by the time the backorders are done. Still a waste of time especially because you know if they have pushed it back for this long then its going to get pushed back again.

I just received an email from them that said they would start shipping in late September or early October.  Haven't they been stringing people out now like this since April of 2012?

Wait so you are talking waiting another 6 months. This company needs to be outed. They are only making money off you there should be no reason it takes this long to get a pre order product.

Wow, so far what i have been getting from people is that there is no point in even thinking of trying to get a BL product... Unless someone can correct my thinking on that....

Thanks! I was kinda just wondering about that because i just had it laying around the house and really have no use for it lol and wasnt sure if the processing unit in it had any possible potential for mining.

The whole thing about a government buying all the bitcoins is that point blank is it wouldnt happen. If they somehow found a way to make bitcoins useless... then the entire bitcoin network would just move to a different type like litecoin. The process would basically continue and keep continueing for quite a while.

Any idea how long it will take to get my pending payout from the outage, I had to take my miners down for a while because of the outage and it wouldnt let me connect back up, but now i have items that i am not getting. They are still sitting in pending and from what i have been reading is that people are already getting their backlog of blocks found.
OK, I went thru all reportings of wrong block rewards. I fixed some rounds, but currently it looks to me that they're fine and reported differences are in the range of common variance (+ some downtime during the pool recovery). So I'm going to process pending block rewards and payouts in few minutes.

Automatic payouts will be still disabled until tomorrow and I'll do manual payouts irregularly by myself, because I want to keep eyes to payout mechanism for some time. But if everything will work well, I'll enable periodic payouts every 15 minutes tomorrow.

Thanks, I guess i must have passed right over that message. I will take a look tomorrow and see what happens.

I am Mr. White, new to post and somewhat new to mining.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Mining hardware question on: April 25, 2013, 10:05:03 PM
This question may be irrelevant but i figured i would ask anyways.

The have an old physx card laying around from before physx was integrated within the newer graphics cards. I was wondering if anyone has tried to use one of these in a mining machine and if they have how exactly did they get it to work.
