Hi! How can I get my wallet.dat file work with the new electrum wallet?
Can I use old wallet to open it? I have 0.8.7.3 wallet and it keeps overscanning and wont open. Please help!
Hi, you need to extract private key from your wallet.dat and import it in the new wallet MED-Electrum. Do you know how extract your private key??

Open your wallet and go to Debug Console, type dumpprivkey and confirm with ENTER, the console will show you your priv key, copy it and open you ELECTRUM-MED wallet, select "Restore an existing wallet", next that, PASTE your priv key and confirm. You'll done..
But to open wallet I have to have a private key which I don`t because I can`t open the wallet
what is a wallet message "Rescanning" or "Loading block index " or .....? also wallet.dat file is from this wallet version or backup from other wallet ?
you can try to put rescan=0 in conf file and restart wallet
or just wait
wallet.dat is from a much older version of wallet, it`s a backup from 2015..

What does rescan mean and how much time will it take?
I haven`t changed anything for now and it`s still rescanning as it did at the beginning. It uses approx. 15% of CPU and around 400MB RAM, which means it is doing something, right?
Will the old 0.8.7.3 wallet eventually load ?
