Hi there, I am experiencing problems with my Antivirus Program and the ECC/Lynx Wallet. When installing the wallet, the eccoind.exe is marked as potential malware and is being moved to a different location. This results in the program's inability to start the wallet. The menu is always set back to "Click to install wallet". The problem occurs in Windows 10 with Avast Free Antivirus. Deactivating the antivirus program before installing the wallet seems to work as a temporary, but of course not as a permanent solution. Is anyone experiencing similar problems and does know how to solve them?  Cheers, ratflat If you got the file from any official ECC source/location, it is safe. Tell your antivirus program to trust/allow Eccoind.exe As long as you downloaded the wallet from the ecc.network website then everything is fine. I had the same issue when I first downloaded the wallet on my windows 10 64 bit PC as well. Just approve it via your antivirus program. |

Ok, ive said it quite a few times already but here it is once more =p
there will be a whole new UI released for the wallet this weekend that will make it a lot easier to use. so be patient on that, we are working on it. it will also make it possible for us to update OSX agian.
CoinExchange is under maintenance because they are currently upgrading their wallet to v0.2.5.0 so there is no need to worry about that.
and yes, mac is the operating system that is having most of the problems right now. we know. but right now there is no way to update OSX (dev environment got corrupted and appple is doing everything it can to prevent us from fixing it) so that makes it really hard to fix the wallets for them. the new wallet UI this weekend will fix a lot of the issues people are having
I am normally more than happy to help people fix their issues. but most of the issues will be fixable from a button click or two once the new UI is finished. so im just gunna have to ask everyone to sit tight on that for a little bit

That's fantastic news --- thank you for all of the hard work and dedication. Looking forward to seeing the upcoming new UI it is being designed so that if you need help, you click on the help tab. and find your problem. and it has a button to fix it Hi Griffith, since you are the developer do you mind telling me what makes this coin unique? Or what you plan to add to this coin to make it more competitive? I know file storage and messaging are planned but there are other coins that do this, just so you know I am not trolling I am genuinely curious. This coin will travel the space, and will fly like superman, and will cook like my grand ma, and will make love like Stefania, and make the best ice cram free for all at the beach, and will swim across the ocean, and will make a single skin color to all humans, and will twerk better than Milley Cirus, and will do tatoo and tatoo removal the the same time no laser required, and jump like van helen, and will live forever, and your grand sons will buy a new tesla car with only 5 of it So basically what your saying is that ECC is Chuck Norris disguised as a coim?! *scratches head* Makes complete freakin sense!  |

The whole crypto market is bleeding, more than 20 billion $ value exited the market so don't be confused why price is down. It will go back up but for now it's a down trend, maybe it already hit the floor.
Exactly! $ECC will most definitely move back up, especially once it's added to other exchanges. Once that happens, everyone who sold due to FUD will be extremely disappointed and will learn a valuable lesson. As for everyone else that was smart enough to hold...Hello future millionaires!  |

can everyone please stop selling now. You are bringing the price down, and it can keep going up a lot more. just be patient. with the rates this was going, if it hadnt been for the huge sell out today, we would've been at 60-80 satoshis by now. so keep calm and hold for a few days.

Downloaded the latest windows wallet that was published a few hours ago.
Where is the 'unlock' box? Can't find it ...
Moreover, having 0 connections.
Yesterday I could connect quite easily.

hmm... delete the wallet you have now and redownload... that should fix the connection issue. also make sure you get the network peers list from https://www.coinexchange.io/network/peers/ECCand add that to your config file. the unlock box is under the menu at the top called settings Just invested in ECC, hopefully it'll go UP.
One thing that might keep out more investors is the lack of a proper website? Would recommend an up-to-date standalone ECC website that showcases the key features of ECC.
im currently working on the website. we have some updates coming out soon. it will soon have a lot more information about not only the coin and its plans but crypto in general. unfortunately neither me or the other dev i am working with are too good at website UI design. we are better at functionality so the feel and looks will be slowly improving. but the content will get a lot better very quickly. its hard to bring a random UI designer in and ask them for help because we wrote the website in EJS. but it will get better with more updates Hello Griffith! My name is Lyndon and I am a huge fan/supporter of $ECC. I believe a combination of the development teams skills and interaction with it's backers are a MAJOR part of what will make a coin successful and I feel that the $ECC team has both of those qualities. The reason that I am reach out is because I saw where you mentioned that you weren't to good with UI when it came to creating websites and that is something I am pretty good at and love to partake in along with professional branding. I have plenty of resources available for creating a more professional logo and mimicing that through all of $ECCs counter parts (ie. roadmaps, newsletters, business cards, etc.). I generally use WordPress as my CMS platform and you can see an example of my work at www.Swaggatrons.com. I would love nothing more than to be able to help $ECC so if you think there's any way that I can help please reach out. Griffith mentioned the website being hard to pass over to someone else b/c it was written in EJS ---- maybe withy our skill, you could easily come up with a new UI & webseite format from the ground up with the tools that you are most comfortable with? That would go a long towards attracting new interest ---- I've heard a # of comments that the website doesn't bring enough confidence to them to invest in the coin. What's needed is a clear webpage, attractive format with as much information readily accessible as possible (coin concept, white paper (?), roadmap, background on the dev team, links to social media about the coin including the dev's twitter , bitcointalk forum etc, links to exchanges where ECC is available, realtime price indicator (if possible) or link to coinmarketcap, wallet downloads & clear instructions on how to install and troubleshoot bugs) A lot to ask for but will definitely be worth the effort!!! I agree with you 100%! I was thinking the same as far as creating a completely new website from scratch (much simpler than it sounds lol). The color concept is already there, green being the main color, so it's a matter of using the correct accent colors throughout the website, whitepaper and etc to make everything pop. All of the information you mentioned wanting to be included in the website should also be fairly easy to make accessible with the exception of real time price indicator, but I know some pretty good PHP developers so I'm sure I could have them create a custom version of that from scratch that pulls it's info from coinmarketcap. After that it's just a matter of using the correct branding techniques to pull everything together which honestly wouldn't be hard for me to achieve! |
