+1  Need to find a coin that is good for your hashrate otherwise you are just wasting it.   Can always exchange. 

Why does it matter?  I would mine whatever one is more profitable for your hashrate that day and if you really think the other one is better longterm, exchange to what you want.  There can be considerable differences in profitability

I mean, if there is very minimal difference in profitability such that exchange fees would make the difference then maybe it would be something to consider.  But yeah I am all for the spreading around the hashrate.  The old Don't Put All your Eggs in One Basket approach
