1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we Need Altcoin? on: April 26, 2018, 05:59:44 PM
I think so because they bring the new technologies to the table , bitcoin is what it is and won't advance much further. While with eth for example we have seen what is possible if you build further on bitcoins tech.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another Bear Market coming soon? on: April 26, 2018, 05:56:48 PM
It could be a trap , but i think the price will go up. And that is more because of the self-fulfilling prophecy, if everybody thinks the price goes up nobody will sell , which will make the price go up. I think the general believe and trust in crypto is far more important then what some analysts say.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Know Your Customer on: April 26, 2018, 05:50:52 PM
I support KYC registration for ICO projects because it verifies the identity of the investor to reduce fraud in ICO projects. KYC also helps limit the speculation of investors using multiple accounts to buy large amounts of tokens and can dominate the crypto.
I disagree completely with this, why new projects need to know who you are? What is going to change for them if they know your name and where you live? Nothing, nothing is going to change the ico is going to be as successful as it could be, and I am also against limitations to the amount of tokens that you can buy, while I am not a whale and I do not invest in icos I do not see the point of that limitation, if someone wants to invest let him invest, it's his money he should be free to buy as many tokens as he wants besides by doing that icos limit the money that they could get out of investors.
There is nothing going to change if they have your KYC info , except that it is very valuable to them. I think most people don't even understand what can happen with your info when it is in the wrong hands. And that all to get some shitty token for free.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Strategy: holding but trading on: April 26, 2018, 03:05:07 PM
Trading is both time consuming and very tiring..Always hodl is good..When it reaches a satisfactory level, sales are made.
This is the easier way to do it , with the swing trading you describe i think you are gonna have a hard time doing it. Because there will be moments you will be so wrong that you will lose all the profit you made on earlier trades.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: in 2020 wich one will be higher bitcoin or ethereum ? on: April 25, 2018, 08:11:51 PM
Nobody can tell you this , i think it will be the one that grows towards mainstream adoption the most. And at this point it is impossible to say that. So do some research and try to make the best decision for yourself.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin must come back to its original use - currency ! on: April 25, 2018, 08:07:32 PM
I think that isn't the only part of bitcoins original use , the decentralization and ability to have control over your own money are also part of that. The only thing left right now is the control over your own money part. Decentralization is a joke and bitcoin became unusable as a currency. And tbh i don't even see how bitcoin would go back to that point.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning MEW wallet!!!!!! on: April 24, 2018, 03:36:40 PM
Seems the best thing to do is avoid mew at all till the problems are solved. Even though the problem is not on mew side , it is still a big problem with crypto. You forget to check the url one time and something like this happens.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin's transaction in $99 millions on: April 23, 2018, 08:19:19 PM
This transaction is worthless as a measure of it being a good coin. Just as big transactions are a worthless measure for all coins. How often do you think people are transferring $99 million? Exactly. I want to know how much the fees are when I pay $1 for a hamburger or $2 for a coffee. If the fee is still $0.40, then that's 20-40% of my payment, and your coin is useless.

We should be judging coins on their speed and cost for small transfers, not large ones. And I do like Litecoin for various reasons, but there are coins like Nano that have zero fees.
Add to that how much transactions it can make in a day , these numbers don't say much.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is neo good choice for long-term investment ? on: April 23, 2018, 02:38:19 AM
I think it is a decent choice , they have the potential to compete with ETH or XLM. But they needs more projects to be build upon them , they need incentive to want to build upon neo rather then ETH. If they can achieve that they are doing very good.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you say to the younger generation? on: April 23, 2018, 02:32:32 AM
Never forget why bitcoin was created , to give power back to the people. Control over your own money , pretty anonmymous and nobody can take anything away from you. I think this are the core values of crypto and they should be remembered.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Best Crypto Passive Income? on: April 22, 2018, 05:22:36 PM
Passive income in crypto is very risky, just remember the Bitconnect
Masternodes aren't that risky , except that the price can crash of the coin but that can happen with everything. You just have to research where they get the money from, when it is a lending platform then that is risky.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we hitting another dip? on: April 22, 2018, 05:05:05 PM
I think you should have already bought in at this point , prices will only continue to rise. When the news starts reporting again we will see a big upwards trend imo.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: And we have a lift off! on: April 22, 2018, 05:03:56 PM
I hear a lot of ''analysts'' saying that this is a bull trap , but i begin to believe that it isn't true. Looks like the market is getting ready for another bull run trough the summer.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is King.. why is it?! on: April 22, 2018, 02:44:00 PM
Because they were the first crypto to exist, it is called first movers advantage. And now i think people have the most trust in bitcoin because it is proven.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You've been scammed. What you can do ? on: April 21, 2018, 03:00:50 PM
if you get scammed by other people lets put the scenario you made a peer to peer transaction to a bitcoin seller then he/she scammed you
1. thing you need to do is don't panic gather some proofs of being scam like messages and conversation that you legitimately transact with that person.
2. Get all the transaction information like TXN or the transaction ID.
3. Report it to authorities report the person to blotter it in the police and then inform others to be aware.

instead of getting angry make legal and ethical action first that might help you and always remember it's no ones fault it's your fault you easily fooled and last learn the lesson.
before making transactions or any crypto transfers make sure you know the person you are transacting to.
This is all good advice and all, but it probably isn't helping. This whole market is like the wild west still, there are barely any regulations and if you get hacked or scammed there is almost nothing to be done.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a better payment system? on: April 21, 2018, 02:47:09 PM
For me, bitcoin has the potential to shutdown the other financial intermediaries because through this technology we can send money to any person directly anywhere in the world. It is fast, open 24/7 and low cost, no wonder lots of people prefer bitcoin payment system.
Bitcoins problem is that there are a lot of coins that do the same things but better. For now bitcoin has the name and all , but i don't know how long that will help bitcoin stay on top.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Why anyone who invests 5,000$ now in bitcoin will be millionaire by 2025 on: April 20, 2018, 03:07:00 PM
I do not exclude the fact that the price of bitcoin can rise to such a level. But the problem is that the great increase in the popularity of bitcoin can collapse the dollar price. Maybe in 2025, everyone will be millionaires. But for a million dollars you can buy a bottle of whiskey to celebrate such an event.
This , money is all relative when if the inflation isn't the same. You see this in the dollar already, that the average Joe lost a lot of buying power in the last 30 years or so. Bitcoin should stop a part of this with the fixed supply.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you mean when you say Bitcoin is number 1 on: April 20, 2018, 03:02:28 PM
Bitcoin is arguably the world's first cryptocurrency, or it is more accurate than decentralized digital money, which is the new and biggest form of total market value. Bitcoin is the most widely used alternative to e-commerce. By November 2013, the base amount of bitcoin was valued at $ 7 billion. Large fluctuations in the dollar value of a Bitcoin have prompted criticism of Bitcoin's economic suitability as a currency. That is the advantage that Bitcoin is the number one
Well the large fluctuations make it harder to use bitcoin as a currency , because when you buy something a week later you could have paid the double amount in dollar.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still Good to Make Investment in it on: April 20, 2018, 02:47:06 PM
I think it is , maybe you won't get the returns that some people had with bitcoin. But it is still not to late , you just have to be patient and know what you are doing.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is considered as halal by Sharia Law on: April 19, 2018, 01:15:18 PM
I thought this was generally known already, at least i saw some people say they asked their imam who said it should be halal. So i think the news has more influence on the pirce then that it is really halal.
