Disappointing as it may sound, im sure you guys had to make a hard decision for sustainability.

I just wish you gave us early adopters a better deal moving forward though because I see the new plans to be too restrictive. for most of us at entry level than 3k USD limit is limiting and will heavily depend on BTC to USD value which can swing massively up (preferrably) or down few times within a year.. i mean it's crazy to have to deal with this USD value cap. I mean the free trial and discount is great but perhaps extend that a bit for us small-fry early adopters? say free stage upgrade from starter to standard, that would be reasonable and i'd personally be on board. Standard to Pro offers i believe is fine as it is coz people dealing with that amount of money can definitely afford your subscription fees no problem.

I do wonder about this line though:
"Catastrophic events like what happened in mid January, where a lot of cryptos lost up to 70% of their value, have a huge effect on our revenue."

How did the massive correction affect your revenue when your software isn't taking any % from trades anyway?

Anyway more power to you guys.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: February 09, 2018, 03:33:05 AM
Quick question you guys...

will AWESOME MINER performance suffer if i mine it within a Virtual Machine?

I've got a powerful windows PC (1080ti) for gaming and work that i also want to use for mining but want to contain miners in Virtual Machine , installed w/ same, Win10 x64

Will Awesome Miner be less efficient? and by how many % on rough estimate?

and while we're at it, is this the same on all miners perhaps?

Guys, seriously, can you add in your next update STOP LOSS rule for your PING PONG strategy? should be very simple you know. hehe
thanks and keep up the awesome work!

problem spotted (if it is a problem)

So i've MM setup to play with 2000 $CAN coins.

it was doing fine then i noticed this...

my Buy order at bottom did not get fully filled, before the price went back into an upswing.

It seems that LeonArdo will ignore awesome SELL and gain opportunities until it's been fully filled..  so as a result, i missed a sell point with what would've been the best gain the run would have in the past 2 days Sad

Is there a way to tweak this? that is to make LeonArdo proceed and complete sells when value reaches profit setting - even if the last buy did not get fully filled?

Oh my, awesome release man!!  It's a nice Christmas gift for us LeoNardo users/customers.  Smiley

However, I was hoping the following 2 features would be included already by now:

MUST HAVE FEATURE: PING PONG Strategy with STOP LOSS! <-- like, seriously Cheesy

REALLY WANTED FEATURE: Margin Trade based on BTC amount... ie: Start a bot with specific BTC amount (0.1 btc for example) and let it buy and sell or play with 0.1btc only

really hope you guys would look into this feature really soon

Happy Holidays!

hi Team,

quick question...
i got margin maker setup to analyze every hour (short time frame)
but i keep noticing that if the coin value averages upward, the BUY ORDER isn't adopted and gets tuck at previous buy order.

Here's an example , happened just now:

Buy order's been stuck at that level for hours... shouldn't margin maker move it up based on analysis per hour?
Leonardo could have made some nice trades already during these hours .. what am i doing wrong?

yes it should, and it used to work as expected but lately (last few days) it's been doing this. I have noticed this as have others. It seems to be an issue with Bittrex API as far as I can tell.

If you stop the bot and start it again, it usually fixes the issue for a while.

Thanks for the head's up mate.

strange though coz i think it's leonardo's task to analyze current prices/trend then remove order and replace it with new entry.. i dont understand how Trex api is causing this, unless trex is having problems cancelling and placing orders, which, i dont think it is coz i've also been trading manually, just fine.

Hi Guys,

Quick question... first time testing your margin maker bot

so i started the bot couple of days ago... saw a few trades completed.. but then ark went up above my range..
question is, why is the BUY order stuck outside (below) range from around where bot was started

here's where i'm at:

I thought MM Bot will adjust up or down accordingly so that it can keep making trades?

Is this a feature, bug, or am i missing something here?

Your picture doesnt show the whole screen but I am going to guess that you used all of your BTC balance and the buy blue line is the highest that your BTC balance allows to buy that coin for.
A good practice is to never use all of the available funds to leave room in case the price increases. (I never buy over 90% myself).

I see, and yes i've spent all my BTCs already.. however, shouldn't the Bot simpy adjust qty? coz i have specific btc i want bot to play with, i dont care about the qty of coins purchased.. so if i dedicate, say 1BTC to bot, and value goes up, then bot should simply place 1BTC order at higher level, right? I dont undersrtnd why bot is volume/qty centric (if your theory is true).. seems odd to be that way.  2% gain on 1BTC is same on any level of entry and any number of coins.  Sad

I really hope that there's an option to margin trade based on BTC set, not coin amount.. coz basing it on coin amount is dangerous, one can get rekt.

if im risking 1BTC only and coin value goes up, bot should just risk the same amount 1BTC regardless of new levels. i dont understand why Leonardo (or at least by default) is focused on coin quantity when trading rather that BTC value. I hope there's an option here. Sad

On side note... For PING PONG strategy, why isnt there an option for stop loss? i caught myself in heavy bags due to this lacking feature. ping pong is great so long as leonardo can stop loss / sell if shit goes under certain value Sad seems like this should be one of the very basic features the bot should have ...

Very good feature for the ping pong strategy. I like it.

As for the amount invested I think its done that way so that the strategy can track the buys and sells. If it dealt with BTC instead it would have to keep track that it created a buy for x btc and the sell for x btc, this way it just tracks X amount for the coin for both buys and sells.

yah man, a stop loss feature in pingpong strategy would make it extra safe for us ..
i understand ur point about the coin amount thing but as a programmer myself for almost 20 years, i know it's not an issue to make the margin trade strategy be BTC/amount centric rather than quantity... again this is not logical way of doing things because you cannot control your actual exposure very well.. and lots of other bots dont have this issue.

...wish Leonardo guys are listening to this  so they can respond.. and hoping that this is not the case, and im just being dumb missing something in the settings..

The way the bot works is very clear. A currency pair is made up of C1/C2. You tell the bot the amount of C1 you want to buy or sell. That's it. Simple.

The sliders in leonArdo are based on this principle.

We will definitely consider having an option in a future version that allows you specify an amount of C2 you would like to trade with.

We know that it would be great to have stop loss in the ping pong strategy. We are re-working our bot code to make stop loss and indeed take profit a general feature for any bot we add in the future. And there will be updates to the bots and new bots released in our next major release. I have been really clear on this for a while now.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

Well im certainly happy and hopeful coz you guys are always coming out with updates. Smiley

1) C1 C2 pairing = ok now i kinda understand.. but i dont see how u guys can't easily base bot buy/sell decisions on the value ($$) instead of coin count. It's basically the same everything except condition is based on a nice little drop down / select option would be nice to select strategy based on Sats value or coin QTY.

2) Stop Loss on Ping Ping = yes pls! really really hope you have this on next update.. i think everyone can agree here. Smiley

thanks and keep up the good work guys!

Hello, why does the demo/Bittrex version of leonArdo only show 7 decimal places for OKCash? That is rather misleading:

Screenshot:  http://prntscr.com/gj7glg

Also, I have 5 Bittrex accounts. Can I register API keys for all of them and label the accounts and switch between them?

Finally: is there a referral program? I can refer a good number of people to this.

Just drop us a mail at contact@marginsoftware.de and we will create you a referral link.
As you every API key is basically a license, you would have to get an extra license for each key.
If you actually need five, just also get in contact via mail and we figure something out.

Quick question guys. So the license is based on the API key? so you can only use 1 license on 1 exchange and on 1 account? If so, can you at least change this anytime (point the bot at another API/Account) ?

So i just bought some tokens today (ICO) using my EXODUS wallet because PILLAR said i could!

But now people are saying i can't use EXODUS.. this is confusing.

Sent ETH already, left my Exodus wallet...

How to resolve?

Checked with team, this is the response:

This is useful for people who used Exodus to purchase PLR Tokens:

They can export their private key into MyEtherWallet: http://support.exodus.io/knowledge_base/topics/how-can-i-view-my-private-keys-1

Awesome. thanks man.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining for investment.... on: June 18, 2017, 03:32:10 AM
.... looks like Litecoin is showing some promising future..

I might grab a short cloud mining contract to mine and hold....

and yes I'd love to put together a mining rig, but by the looks of the current supply , it's so difficult to find proper GPUs for mining at the moment and the prices for RX 470 and 480's have increased ridiculously..

I'm patient, i could wait, but at the way things are going now I feel i need to make a move within the next 2 weeks or get left behind even further ..

hmmm.. fun time we're living in....
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining for investment.... on: June 17, 2017, 02:23:35 AM
Firstly I don't think anyone knows what will happen with bitcoins they have years of 400% growth and years of 80% losses so whether buying bitcoins is a sound investment strategy. you'll find some biased opinions here, but really its a question of risk tolerance and what you want to do.

as for joining a cloud mining op and mining shit coins? fuck that noise if you wanna be a hash nest is almost certainly going to be the most secure cloud mining set up. and they charge double for the asic you want to mine, I don't recommend fucking with cloud mining. that said I have no experience with cloud mining but it doesn't take a genius to see it fucks up ROI vs running an asic.

Thanks for your inputs mate. I do agree to some extent, but i think you missed my point. Im not going to expect to earn from mining activities anymore, it's pretty clear to me and my research that that is a lottery, not a business. My goal here is to mine for a while and gather some coins to hold. My question is really, perhaps there are still uses to cloud mining for "quick mine and hold" operation only, as opposed to putting together a mining rig (which will cost me some valuable time due to the shortages) . anyway just playing with the idea.. but i definitely agree with you, cloud mining for ROI and profit (like running a business) is really stupid given the numbers.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining for investment.... on: June 16, 2017, 01:32:10 PM
Quick story.. was one of the an early miners back when bitcoin was still a shitcoin, got tired, left the game... only recently regretting it but hey, not too late to get back into the game right?

So, spent the last week researching and getting myself updated... things i learned so far...

Mining with a powerful Gaming rig and 1 or 2 GPUs ain't gonna cut it much these days... and one must either get an ASIC machine or setup a serious GPU mining machine (dedicated) .... like i said, i was one of the early miners who just let an idle PC run all night to mine... and also contribute to SETI cloud computing.. anyway...  Trying to find hardware is a b*tch right now, and prices are bloated due to the mining rush, I think.

Unfortunately, I also learned that CLOUD MINING is a NO GO, mostly scams, or legit but setup to barely make a client profit, if any at all. And personally, I always felt that. Why the heck would companies sell hash power promising customers they can earn, when they can use it to make their own money. If i had a mining farm, i would not rent out hash power, I would use it for myself and mine like crazy!

So that leaves me with 2 options, to which I plan to take both options

OPTION A: Save myself some time and just buy some coins now and hope for the next bull rush..
OPTION B: Sign up for the most legit cloud mining out there to mine some promising shit coins for a few months, collect, and let sleep, and hope next year they make up for something.

So my question to you guys is OPTION B... because after reading a lot about cloud mining, I really can't see myself ROIng fast enough or and earning much on BTC or ETHERs anymore, so what do you guys think about running cloud mining for a while just to collect some cheap, low difficulty, coins now and just save it for later?

Thoughts and tips, are appreciated.
