Reading the slack and amount of BS with their Metal Dance and pumping each other up this just screams scam since the ICO was cancelled.  Now a selected few are trying to pump the price up on Bittrex.  How to lose confidence in something before it launches.

Metal are destroying any credibility they may have had.

Or you are just sad that you think you missed out on free money.

Just sad there are companies out there that seem to focus too much on their exchange price rather than their product.   So much BS in Metalpay I am glad I did not throw any money at it.

my transaction remain pending since the first minut of the ico, and now it is rejected, look :

Contract 0xd43d09ec1bc5e57c8f3d0c64020d403b04c7f783 (TenXCrowdsale)
Warning! Error encountered during contract execution [Bad instruction]
Value:
1.5 Ether ($466.67) - [CANCELLED]

Gas Price:
0.00000005 Ether (50 Gwei)
Gas Used By Txn:
300007
Actual Tx Cost/Fee:
0.01500035 Ether ($4.67)

4.67 dollars, with near 230% of gas amoung recommanded, what did i do wrong ?

so, for the smart one here, if i put 1000000 gas amount i would be in for sure ? and 100Gwei ?

i dont undertand why on their wallet some transaction are still going hrought and mine god rejected

my transaction : https://etherscan.io/tx/0x09c1f1787b012a8fd170a1ec5e71ab0abb9ac8c3d0b514af179cd29f84bde636

edit : the pending transaction getting rejected slowly, people are still sending fund there not knowing the ico finished

I agree, this ICO is so unfair!! So a few got all the tokens and people like us who tried to get a few eth get nothing becuase failure of the system! Why...big whales get their stake and ordinary people get out when we did it a 3 pm exactly munich time?

THIS IS VERY UNFAIR!!

I think Tenx posted there was 40,000 requests on their site and tokens went to 4,000 participants, so only 10% were successful.   Is this type of ICO fair? No.  Civic ICO ran an excellent ICO even if it mean't you had less than you wanted or there was 5000 other people in the queue ahead of you.

One day I am sure there will be a standardized  way to run an ICO that will distribute the tokens/coins in an improved format.   Until then it will remain the Wild West with scammers, DDoS attacks, Whales, quickest to send ETH, Crazy Gas prices etc etc etc

I have done a succesful tx using a fucking unsafe app for android(imtoken) from a fuking boat in the see with a mobile connection in 3g. Not joking.

So this is , no free money for last day newbies, live with that.

This crying fud is so amazing , thanks a lot!

I also completed a tx from the middle of the ocean... (well Baltic Sea) on a cruise ship using an Internet connection similar to 1995.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CVC] CIVIC Tokensale :: 21 June on: June 24, 2017, 10:48:34 AM
I thought the ICO was very well executed personally. It provided a nice contrast to how Status.im conducted their ICO the same day.

Civic:
- queued their contributions to prevent network congestion
- ensured everybody had a space in line.
- provided clear information on when it would open (9am), so just get in line before that time and you're pretty much guaranteed a spot. Also communicated to users while they were in the line with a notice box.

Status:
- no queuing, and disrupted the entire network for hours with what amounted to a DDoS attack on the network by its own users
- no guarantee for a space in line, just an address that you need to send money to asap
- communication breakdowns while the entire network slowed to a crawl and people were sending money to a smart contract with no response. They took down their Slack channel after the blowback.

Civic conducted their ICO responsibly and professionally and I hope other ICOs follow their example.

Maybe for many it was great, but for me it was the worst ICO of all. Not only the app didn't work on my phone (was brand new 1.5 years ago, android) after using another phone, getting a spot in the queue, after I sent out an ether transaction exactly as the civic.tokensale page told me, it just gave an "bad jump" error, I tried it another time, just wasted more gas...

Brand new is not 18 months old, especially in the phone market.  If you have an android you could/should update the phone to the latest software when released, then your phone would have been able to download the app.  It's not Civic's fault you don't keep your devices up to date.

please read carefully before smartypanting!
I said it _was_ brand new, just to state it is not like 5 years old. However I got it to work with a 3 year old android phone... Of course keep the android updated, thanks for this advice Cheesy Cheesy
What made my experience so bad was not the problem with the phone but rather that I was early enough in line, I got a spot, Civic told me which amount of ether to pay, what data to append, but still in the end the transaction failed. Furthermore nobody can tell me what the problem is. Civic support doesn't answer (I suspect they get a lot of tickets). So of all ICOs, which I tried to get in, this was the only one that didn't work for me.

Smartypanting over!  My 1st payment failed also.  Luckily I kept the payment page open and the second attempt was successful.  Sorry you missed it.

Whilst this ICO was long winded waiting in the queue, it was better than the Status one yesterday which was a clusterfuck.  If you look at some of the recent ETH blocks, people are overloading the system with low transactions as well  Angry

My 1st ETH payment failed but I was sucessfull with the 2nd.  Make sure you do everything they say, set the price exact, 250,000 gas and I set 55Gwei.

Good luck to everyone still in the queue.

Are we blocked from participating if we are in the USA? That's seriously messed up if its true.

No, you are not. There is no block by country.

Thanks for this message, I have removed/edited my message.   This is a huge plus that you will not be blocking US based investors.

I am Non-US but it shows Civic is doing things right if it is open to all.  Grin

HI Marina_T

Any news on when the Android version of the app will be released?

I also question, that when registering with Civic you need to supply a USA Telephone Number and this cannot be changed to UK for example.  So it seems only US customers will be eligible to purchase in the ICO.
