Hi All,

looking for the experts out there Smiley

Have the gaming z170a m5 board 5x 580's 1x 480,   i have the best success with gen2 for both, win10 enabled, obviously 4G enabled, integrated off

With windows 10 pro & with 5 cards I can boot/login and dont get error code 12.  6 will boot but crashes on login
If i put the cards in gen1 I either get 0 mining rate or something else. I've tried almost all permutations/combinations. I've had 0 luck trying to keep the integrated video on.

when I run 9.5 claymore, it crashes at the point when it is detecting the cards. I had this running once with some of the undervolting with the -cvddc and -mvddc flags... was amazing... like half the power dissipation.   No matter what I try im getting crashes now, I think I undervolted too much and made the drivers unstable... ran ddg but no luck.... cards are not fubar because this thing runs like a beast in linux.

Any suggestions on other things I can try?

Would prefer to stay in linux but ~ 11A from wall in linux vs the 6.5A that i've seen working for 1 night in windows makes me want to go that way.

Dont really want to learn how to write drivers for linux but... i expect thats what i'd need to learn.

Any insight into how to undervolt 580's in linux?

any help appreciated.

thx
