I love your project, i used SGminer a lot back in the days and it was awesome. Unfortunately i can't get decent speeds out of 570/580 on this one, don't know why.
Do you have any RX series cards to test? The R9 series are not really an option these days because of high consumption/profit ratio i guess.
Hi Pennywis3 , thank very much for your feedback. The main parameter that influence the performance is the rawintensity and the worksize. You yet know very well the miner, so I think is useless show you many options or configurations to try...anyway there are written in the pdf manual. The point is that I have to decide how many time and eventually money to invest in this project. For sure I have to buy a newer card and eventually a new pc. We will see if there are news. Giovanni Ps: Hey, Hacker. Please do not try to enter in my miningpoolhub account : it's pratically empty and a waste of time!

With your configuration, can you tell me how many days you have a hash of how many xmr?
I have tested the miner on miningpoolhub one month ago for six hours. The pool hashrate was in line with the value displayed on the gui of the miner. Graph of about 20 hours of mining. Mining is yet active for about 12 hours after this post at: https://www.supportxmr.comminer : 49tTCX9JUzejoBjTseyeCRPHqp13Nw7ze5dN6ru2C6BwZWuzvJZ25Cn8E4VEkn44jz8dXwMmo3okT8BWg4gQmJae6ERwXde EDIT: reinserted the miner id https://i.imgur.com/xnPDhjW.pngEnd of the test: https://i.imgur.com/xnPDhjW.pngRunning time: about 32 hours Avg Hashrate displayed by the miner : 887 24 Hrs Hashrate diplayed by the pool : 892 Testing environment : Bad. Connection instable (no optic fiber , no cable , wi max, shared with the family members) PC: instable. Sometimes freezes if browser is used. During the test the PC is freezed 2 times. One while posting the intermediate results. 2#EDIT: result of the 24 hrs test

Does it use more power than the other miners?
I haven't compared the power utilization of the miner. Reasonably the consume is a little bit more, proportionally to the hash gain. I will do and publish the power tests for my R9 card. For other models we will wait for a proud tester.

Hi to all, I'm here to present my work on Monero. It's an optimized AMD Monero miner, derived from the sgminer project. The source code and the executable for Windows are available on Github. https://github.com/Enoch72/sgminer-MK/releasesTested on AMD R9 390x (stock values) the miner seems to give the best hashrate compared to other best miners. Claymore Cryptonote performs about 855 hashes/s, SRBminer performs 874 hashes per secs, while MK is constantly above 880 hashes/sec with peaks to 890. I haven't tested the miner on newer cards simply because at the moment I decided to don't buy ones. The miner is free to download for test purposes. NO dev fee in the miner but ... Open source software doesn't means software for free. GPL license allow to charge a price or a fee for download the software. If you want to use the miner in production environment you shall to pay a developer fee of 0.005 XMR for GPU. Obviously this contribute the project alive. For other details please read the LICENSE.TXT file in the distribution file. The planned road-map for next release/s are: - Other speed optimizations for Monero (1/2%)
- Implement and transfer optimizations to CNHeavy algo
- GUI and tools to best configure, monitor and fine tuning the mining algos
- Under request, is possible transfer the optimizations to other Open Source projects (ex: XMR rig). The speedup gain is estimated between 3 and 5%.
Please support the development sending donations and/or fee payments [XMR] to this address:

See, advertising your miner in my thread is the surest way to invite a really stiff competition, you know...
I Will opt, if possibile to start a cooperation 😁 This is how I perceive the Cryptoland. It's ll about Darwinian natural selection... I don't see the Hokuto Man here , so you are really from Nippon.

Based on my esperiencies, the best intensity size is near values obtained using this formula: (num compute units-2) *16 that for a 570 card is 480. Try also 960 for 8gb cards.

FYI, tried to use the "boost" function on my 6x Vega56 @ 64 rig (for x16r) but it crashed almost instantaneously. Not going to try to "optimise" it for now either. It hashes fairly well (albeit at clocks that are lower than they should be, imo) so I'm not jeopardising the rig at the moment (until I'm certain the functionality works - afaik it's not officially supported on these Vega cards, especially on driver 18.6.1). I know, I know... The plan with the C++ version is to outsource testing and optimizing default settings. My sponsor set up a pretty interesting arrangement for the project. We will see. Fingers crossed! x16r is an algo I am sure you can still optimise greatly. The nVidia miners have gained about 50% speed over the last months, purely through software optimisation. [subtle hint]Currently my 6x Vega rig hashes slower than my 5x GTX1080 rig.[/subtle hint] I suggest you to test the version 06x of my miner...20% improvement than other implementations.

If you are going to provide this "service" for everyone, you should at least obey the GPL, fork this, and post the source code along with the binaries. You cannot change the code and only provide binaries.
Who's going to stop him? The open source software police? Interpol? The Avengers? You can distribuite GPL binaries without source code, but accompanied with an offer to get the source code. The price of the source code cannot be higher than the price of the binaries.

Hi to the forum members, I want to signal a new release of my monero (or cryptonight v7) miner is out. I introduced a new feature to select for each of three kernel used for compute monero hashes a custom worksize. This can improve fine tuning and performance of the miner. The hashrate is improved of almost 2.5% since older version. If someone want to test on newer card and share the result is welcomed. https://github.com/Enoch72/sgminer-MK/releasesThere is also a link of small pdf containing a brief explanation and hints to configure the miner. Bye.

I have some optimization on kernel side but not sure to give these for free. My AMD R9 390 is above 880 h/s for monero v7. Why not to publish sources on GitHub?

my old card r9 370 mining with sbrminer is slow and usually restart, can anybody please help me?
Try my Open Source miner : https://github.com/Enoch72/sgminer-MK/releases/tag/MK-1.0.7Seems that performs very well in older AMD architecture. The rawintensity to setup in the bat file is (24-1) *16 = 368 If someone with newer cards will test it will be welcome. PS: I try to write you a private message but seems that you have choose not to allow message from newbie, as I'm.

Hi to all, I want to introduce my modified version of sgminer https://github.com/Enoch72/sgminer-MK/releases/latestI found that this version performs exceptionally well using the new monero cryptonightv7 algo and a worksize of 4. Using my old r9 390x card I found an hashrate of about 865 h/s , while Claymore performs 'only' 855. Similar results using my HD 7950. If someone can verify my claims on newer cards I will be grateful. Results obtained using a worksize of 4 , 2 threads per GPU. RawIntensity param values obtained using the formula : (GPU ComputeUnits-1) * 16. OS Windows 7, AMD Adrenalin driver 18.5.2. Hi, see you!

https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.en.html#DoesTheGPLAllowDownloadFeeDoes the GPL allow me to charge a fee for downloading the program from my distribution site? (#DoesTheGPLAllowDownloadFee)
Yes. You can charge any fee you wish for distributing a copy of the program. If you distribute binaries by download, you must provide “equivalent access” to download the source—therefore, the fee to download source may not be greater than the fee to download the binary.
The binary is distributed freely, so.. Where do we get the source code? ps. verbatim means the original unmodified version but you can actually distribute modified version for a price or for free, as long as the source is provided The same is for modified sources: 5. Conveying Modified Source Versions. You may convey a work based on the Program, or the modifications to produce it from the Program, in the form of source code under the terms of section 4, ..... Anyway I have no problem to distribuite the source code if someone asks for it. Give me an address and I'll mail the kernel's.

I forked this project and continued to develop it by myself. I want to signal my first public release: https://github.com/Enoch72/sgminer-MD/releases/tag/MD-1.0.6* Fixed Xevan kernel compilation on older cards (HD 7950) * Added color to the terminal log. There also speed improvement but since I have oldest AMD card (7950 , r9 390x) I can't say this is true for newer ones. Bye, Giovanni The source code for the commercial version is available for a price of $200 or the same in cryptocurrency. You can use the commercial without pay but, warned, the license is not valid and you cannot claim the sources.
You are actually breaching the terms of the original GPL v3 license by not releasing sources, and have the guts to demand money for it Have you read carefully the license ? 4. Conveying Verbatim Copies. You may convey verbatim copies of the Program's source code as you receive it, in any medium, provided that you conspicuously and appropriately publish on each copy an appropriate copyright notice; keep intact all notices stating that this License and any non-permissive terms added in accord with section 7 apply to the code; keep intact all notices of the absence of any warranty; and give all recipients a copy of this License along with the Program. You may charge any price or no price for each copy that you convey, and you may offer support or warranty protection for a fee.
