One of my rigs shows the temps for all cards but 4 of the cards are missing in the core/mem area. I've deleted and it reloaded it, I've reflashed the SSD. Still not showing core and mem for some of the cards even though ti runs fine. How can I get the dashboard to show correctly? Huh

Has anyone successfully got 14 cards working on Asrock HTC 110 pro btc+? I have tried several pcie expanders and it will not boot with the 14th card plugged in. However the expander works because I can unplug 2 from the motherboard and plug into the expander and 13 will still work, 14 no post though. I built my racks to run 14 and I have twin 1200w PSUs but I cannot get more than 13 to work on any of my rigs. Any else have any luck with h110 pro btc+?

depends on your problem / error message?

I had 12 running on the h110 pro - but now with the new smos it's not working well

13 working on 4 rigs no problem with SMOS, however a 14th card causes the system to not POST, as in no BIOS, nothing, just won't boot even to the bios or logo. I was thinking maybe the PCIE lanes were full but this board should support 16 PCIE lanes. I made sure to use the expander in the larger slot, and it works even with 2,3,4 card plugged in but never can I get a POST with 14 cards. Sad

To be clear. No error message, not even posting. I can unplug 14th card from board or from the PCIE expander and it posts, runs 13 no problem. Plug 14th back in, no POST. Sad

@tytanik - i experience the same issue issue like most of users with NV and more cards.
H110+ 13 x P106 setup, found everything from the start, have the following problems:
1. Overclocking works pretty strange, to clock the memory of the P106 from 4000 to 4900 i needed to put 1600 as parameter. Steps that increase the MHz are really not relevant. Putting 900 clock to 4400 something.
2. Finally stabilized the machine to 325MH and runs well but it reboots without reason 14 times for 10 hours. Temperatures are under 65C, target is 76C.

So how to fix those nonsense reboots ?

Not all the cards will overclock as well as others, so 1 badly working card can cause a reboot.
That being said, SMOS has some weird behavior with NVIDIA cards.
Until they are fixed, you're better off mining ETH with (H110+ 13 x P106) with the following overclock settings:

GPU Core: -200
Memory MHz: 500
Power Limit (watt): 70
Target Temperature ℃: 75
Minimum Fan speed %: 20

I have about 12 rigs, all of them with those settings.. no reboots, less noise and less heat.

Thanks for the settings, are any of your rigs 1070s? My 7 card rigs work fine on 0/1400 110w but on the 13 GPU Asrock I can only OC 0/400 110w or it reboots like you are saying. I've even swapped the cards to the other rig and they work fine at 1400 on it with no resets for days.

Hi all,

i'm now setting up several 12 GPU rigs made of AMD RX 580 8G only.

I have my moded bios file. Can I flash it with SMOS or i need to flash my cards with windows and install SMOS later ?

What is this "OFFSET" setting tytanick is talking about ??

Many Thanks  Grin

Offset is lets say global parameter in gpu whch told gpu to undervolt by specified value.
For exampel if gpu has values for different stages like 900, 950, 1000 tehn offset of 100 will make those values 800,850,900.
Anyway after this update there will need to set  value in standard format and not offset one.
So for example 850 [mv].
I am dont have experience in this field of modding bioses in GPU and only that i heard here and there.

Wow First post and reply by the boss  Grin
Thank you !
By the way i'm pretty sure that my modded bioses will perform better than stock ones.
I will switch my 8 rigs to smos When proper oc will be released (can't wait)  i run my 580s at 1200/900 // 2250/900
I push 31,7 mhs eth + 1000mhs dcr... I hope i will get similar perf... Roll Eyes

I got 30.4mh/s with my 580s in windows but in smos they fluctuate from 24-30, I average about 366mh/s for the 13 cards. I wish it was faster, as fast as windows.
I'd love to know what you get, I'm torn between 7 cards at 30.4 in windows and 13 cards at less in SMOS.
I'm hoping the updates will resolve the speed issues.

My 580 8GBs run 1250/2115 only 29.1mh/s so I usually run them at 1150/2100 to save power, they get about 28.2 mh/s. Can't seem to find a good setting, MH/s drops off at lot at 1100 unlike the 480s they will run 1050/1100 and 1950 and get 27.5mh/s. using way less power Huh

Anyone able to get more than 13 cards on Asrock H110 Pro BTC+? I've tried m.2 and a couple pcie multipliers. The board will not boot with the 14th card plugged in but the multiplier works, if I unplug another card the 13 with the splitter still works, I even tried with 3 cards plugged into the splitter and it boots with 2 empty pcie slot 13 cards. However 14th card = no boot/post. I have no problem getting 13 to work though, EZ plugged in and booted right up with 13.

Curious if anyone is getting more than 13 from H110 Pro BTC,

Thanks

Is there anyway to disable this "There is no screen to be attached matching miner" message?

I have onboard GPU enabled and attached to monitor but every time I boot the miner it scrolls hundreds of times "There is no screen to be attached matching miner" and then it finally boots. If I unplug 13 GPUS from asrock h110 pro btc+ it will scroll it a few times and then boot. I reattached the cards and it scrolls it for 15-20 minutes before it finally boots? I tried reflashing the USB. Is there anyway to bypass this message? Once it finally passes it it will mine with no problems but every reset it spends 20 minutes printing this message to console over and over and over...

I am running an nvidia rig on h110 pro btc+ and SMOS and I am getting this same message, it displays it 1000 times before it finally boots. Making my restarts take 30+ minutes but I can't figure out how to bypass it, it just keeps printing it to console over and over... very annoying. And I have a screen attached Wink

Hi,

I'm running 2x AMD RX580 and I'm getting 21.99 Hashrate. I tried overclocking and most of the time it reduces or stays around the same hashrate. Can please help? I've watched some videos on flashing the BIOS. However, I thought I can do the same via simeplemining.net. Please advise.

Google how to flash bios, you can copy the 1750 strap and OC via SMOS and you will get 27-29 depending on your card most likely.

Hi, I have 3 rigs. The first rig gigabyte 970a ds3p motherboard is working smoothly with 5 gpu working.

I did 2 rig setup yesterday. But this time we used the ASUS z270P prime motherboard. This motherboard runs up to 8 cards on windows. it's none of my business. I just want to open 5 cards on simplemining. But this motherboard model does not see any simple 5 cards. If 5 cards are plugged in 4 looks 4 plugs sometimes plugs 4 sometimes 3.

I made the motherboard bios update. I made the decoding settings for gen1 and 4g but this time it does not open simplemining error. Please tell me how I can run 5 gpu with this motherboard

please help me. bad english speak so sorry.  Shocked

Have you tried the latest BIOS update for that motherboard? I know there is a crypto currency option in the bios on the newest version. Might help. Other wise I'd check your risers, maybe swap some out.

Anyone able to get 5+ GPU working with the NV version?

(i have tried every possible bios setting change for my Z170a G5 board)

I am able to get 7 working with no problems with amd version.

I have a 7 card nvidia rig running fine. MSI z170 board.

Had anyone been able to get smOS working with 7 GPUs on MSI Z170A PRO Carbon motherboard?

Yes I have 2 rigs with 7 on that board. Set pegs to gen1, 4g enabled. All other bios stock.

I had a corrupted USB and had to reflash it and now im stuck in this update loop. It appears the update file on the server is missing?

Ideas anyone? This loop is both on the monitor and on my simplemining rig list console for this miner.

UPDATE : I flashed the Z170 file just because I knew it was v1094 and its stuck in the same loop for some reason.

UPDATE 2 : I copied a working USB and it still won't boot past the OC section. The rig list is bugged out also, will not let me use any of the buttons to change any settings. I did get it to mine for a few minutes out of the last 8 hours but once I rebooted it would not mine again and I am unable to change any settings in the rig list. ><

UPDATE 3: Working USB boots the miner into the rig list but I cant change any settings or view console or change the miner name. Something is bugged on SMOS side and I can't fix it. Back to windows for now, maybe someone will figure it out.  I was enjoying linux. Sad

I think the Nvidia version of your OS is corrupted. I downloaded the image multiple times, and tried multiple USB flash drive. It could never write past 53% oh HDDRawCopy. Can you look into it?
Come on people, read a bit

this is quoted from the installation paragraph

All those things do in Windows 7/8/10
Download R or RX image from download section
Install:  HDDRawCopy - flashing tool
Flash image to any drive: see Youtube HowTo
If you will see error after 14'000'000 sector then its ok !

LOL actually you are the one that should "read a bit."

The R and RX image works fine. I'm talking about the Nvidia image. And it hangs at around 53%. Not like you can ignore something if it won't let you proceed

This is why I quit helping people, even when you tell them what the problem is they know more than you but they keep asking for help for some reason.

Is there a way to tell which GPU is in which slot?  For instance, lets say I have a 5 card rig and GPU 3 is having issues.  If I want to physically pull GPU 3 and try it in another rig, how do I know which card is GPU 3?

When the miner is running, you can press a number (0 - 9) to turn a card off or on. I just watch the fans, and start with 0, then 1, etc...

Thanks SealTx.  That'll help me track down GPUs.  Unfortunately I noticed the fan still runs after mining is disabled, but it does slow down so hopefully I can pick out the GPU when needed.

Thanks tytanick.  I assumed that would be the case/numbering scheme, but you know what they say when you assume.

I have a small hand held Infrared temp gun, if you can disable one card at a time you can easily see which one is cold with the IR Temp gun. The Pic that Tytanick posted is just not the case, I don't know why but Win10/Linux just randomly seems to assign the GPU #s to random cards. Almost all my rigs have two cards that are side by side on the PCIE port but they will be #2 and #6 or #1 and #5. Not sure why but disable one at time and check the temp, I've had a few cards not take the BIOS mod and used this method to determine which one is which.

Good idea.  I may have to pick up a cheap IR temp gun.  That would also come in handy if one of the GPUs isn't showing up on the rig.  That would make it much easier to figure out which one isn't showing up/mining.

That is great power usage.

I am wondering why we cannot change the power limit in a similar way we do on the nvidia rigs as on the amd rigs? I also am drawing 950-1000 watts for  6 x 570 4gb rigs and would love to bring that power consumption down so I can add more rigs in my basement XD

My 6 cards(AMD) are doing 800-900w range at the wall under 1000w on my 7 card AMD rigs. Have you tried 1050/2000 @ setting #2? That seems to be the lowest voltage for me, for some reason setting 1 pulls a very small amount more power 10-15w for the whole rig. 1050-->1100 is like 50-75w whole rig. Also I'm running 7th gen pentiums or 7th gen celerons, I think this saves a few watts, still 7 risers and cards under 1000w should be possible.

Just wanted to offer a counter point to all the whining. I'm running 6 rigs, 470s, 480s, 570s, 580s, Nvidia 970s (2), Nvidia 1070s (4?). All working great, mostly Z170 MSI boards but the 4 card rigs are on some old ass i7-930 (1366 socket) and i5-2500 (1155 socket) boards, also working great! I set the 1070s/970s to 100W and they are very stable and low power usage but leaving 5-6MH/s on the table without overclocking.

Tytanik! You are the man! Keep up the good work and thanks for offering an easy web interface, no driver installs, problem just reflash the USB! All for $2/month? This is an insane deal!

Can't wait for NVIDIA Overclocking feature. The 6 1070/970 mix are using 640w at the WALL! Im using Claymore 8.1, but 9.4 also works great. 9.5 crashes non stop!

Is there an attachment button where I can attach the screen shot or do I have to host it somewhere and link it in?

PS I also have a MSI 7 slot with 2 M.2s I'm going to try to get 9 GTX 1070s running on soon I will post results! Sorry first time using this particular forum site.
