1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] JCE Miner Cryptonight/forks, now with GPU! on: November 05, 2018, 08:45:20 AM
Hi JCE-Miner!

I'm following your project from very begging because of your excellent CPU implementation and i can say only great work!

I also have few mining rigs but only one is using windows to power my 4 Vega 56 and it will be just great to see Linux version of miner implemented to SimpleOS.

For the fees don't fell bad abut them I`m more than happy to pay a % for software that i actually use I even have proposal to change fee behavior when using GPU miner in way that all CPU work will go as dev fee... it will not be much probably as my CPU on Vega rig is doing like ~40Hs on new XMR algo and fee % from one GPU is like 10 times more but still i want simple config for my GPU miner that will allocate my CPU to your account so give me configuration with proper wallet and i will switch this today when i go to update miner. Same idea for LINUX version of GPU for default all CPU hash power should be by default a donation it is not much for us miners but it can be a motivation for you for further development.

Best Regards

Hi guys, I'm new here.
Do I want to know if the new AMD Mining drivers are gonna be anytime soon on SMOS?

The miner wont start. (suspect issue with fifth card so disconnect one of the 470 and run with 4 card including the 560, still wont start)

Miner is finding 5 cards so you are few steps further than most users that have problem with boot. I see you already start playing with over clocking options and changed power stage to 0! :

Quote
- powerstage - lower value = lower wattage, 7 is max power, 0 is minimum power but it will almost for sure freeze your rig.
Try lowering until it becomes unstable, but be around rig to reboot it if it will freeze Smiley. 4-6 are optimal values

You also started claymore 8.1 that is not happy with your custom OC settings...

Delete this rig add it again don't change anything beside choosing miner and try it again.

What kind of PSU you have because setup like this will take 950-1100W from the wall without modifications, my 5 cards rigs are drawing 1050W and I`m using two 750W PSU for each rig.

I was trying to start mining with SM, but I see only cursor blinking just after bios starting...
MOBO is 990FXA GD65, 6 x rx 570.
Trying also Ethos and everything working fine...
Any ideas?

Hi,

I started my mining adventure with GA-990FXA-D3 few weeks ago from beginning I'm using SMOS (thank you tytanick!) and i tried to force it to run with 6 cards but with no success Sad Week ago i bought another GA-990FXA-D3 but with second board i was unable to start more than 4 cards... after comparing this two setups I find out that older board has F8 BIOS and this newer is F9a so i flashed F8. After restart still only 4 cards was working but i saw lots of errors that didn't appear before after some time i figure out that key option that allow start with 5 cards is enabling "Spread Spectrum".

So with 6 cards i have exactly same issue on 2 rigs and it will be great if i will be able to run 2 cards that right now are mining only dust on the shelf. I also have PCIe SSD with windows that i used to re-flash cards and widows started up with 5 cards and SSD (all PCIe slots occupied) but when i tried boot SMOS i had same issue like with 6 cards.

PS. I`m using gigabyte rx480 :
