1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Fastcoin - FST - The Fastest coin so far in the market - is launched!! on: July 11, 2017, 04:18:09 PM
Why is every coin crashing?

Bitcoin is the first, the most valuable, the most used and the most popular coin. For all of those reasons, all the alt coins tend to follow Bitcoin's trend. Currently Bitcoin is dropping, so a lot of coins drop with it (except for those pumping really hard). Don't worry, it will go up again.

Might be a coincidence, but FST price started to rise just when you guys gave the cryptodao new market information on twitter.

It has reached its higher high since June 26th !

Fastcoin's having the trust of buyers again Smiley

I think it's like bitcoin, meaning it will half until all coins are distributed as reward

HEY GUYS!!
I'm brand new to the forum. I recently bought up a whole bag of FST on livecoin and I went to go download the 10.2.2 Mac OS wallet and it has been 3+ days without syncing.
It seems to be completely halted. What should I do?
Thanks in advance for the help.  Smiley
Hello Evoman1 and Fastcoin-ok,

Thanks for your support.

Yes as Fastcoin-ok suggested, probably the best thing to do, to help troubleshoot your issue, is to join our own forum at www.fastcointalk.org.

Once you've joined, post your topic in the troubleshooting section located here...
http://www.fastcointalk.org/index.php/board,47.0.html

Once posted, email the support team at info@fastcoin.ca your fastcointalk.org ID and link to your posted ticket.

Someone from the community will do their best to assist you.

You can also browse around in that forum as you might find a solution already listed to the problem your experiencing.

Sincerely

The problem is that it doesn't take 1 minute to register. It requires admin approval. This is really not new-user friendly at all. Most people interested and willing to ask a question will just forget about it because of this "admin approval".

By the way, I'm still waiting for mine.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is there any interest in a small blocktime crypto, like FastCoin ? on: June 21, 2017, 07:59:55 PM
I have recently be interested in FastCoin, because of the recent pump, and because of this interesting specificity: It's the coin with the smallest blocktime deepest blockchain.

And now I'm wondering: Is there any interest in such a coin ?

The point of cryptocurrencies is to make people able to transfer money securely without any super-entity supervising it. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and all those big cryptos are a solution to that. Yet it's only viable for money transfers, not instant purchases (Ethereum needs 12 confirmations). Some would argue there are some services like Advanced Cash, but then we lose a part of the decentralization that made cryptocurrencies such a great idea.

Some merchants accept less than 6 confirmations, some merchants accept without confirmations. But this requires trust between the buyer and the seller, in order to avoid double-spends. There is nothing to replace our credit cards.

Now are the real questions:

Is a low blocktime coin of any interest ?
Could such a coin replace credit cards and make cryptocurrencies more popular in the world ?

I'm quite new about all that, don't hesitate to correct me if I'm wrong somewhere.

hmmm, maybe i mispoke about the block explorer concern. Could someone update on that? I see that the one on the OP isn't working at all. I had though we had a block explorer, but it wasn't the best- was my understanding. Where is coinmarketcaps getting its data from? Thanks!

They said a few days ago they were working on their own blockchain explorer. Let's hope it will be ready soon.

Edit: Here is the quote.

Does fastcoin have a block explorer?

Some of my transactions are taking hours to confirm.  They are large ones (meaning they contain many inputs).

Hello Stouse49,

Thanks for your question, yes we had several 3rd party Explorers, however we are working on our own dedicated to the community.  We have found over the years as some of the 3rd party providers tend to pool resources to other coins as the markets fluctuate.   As a result the Explores they hosted on our behalf were either not responding or taken off line.  We hope to have our own dedicated Block Explorer up and running shortly and will communicate to the community once it is up.

Sincerely

/C

By the way, is there any place we can have information about the fastcoin team members ?

Hi All!

I'm new to posting but not to Fastcoin. I can remember it when it had an actual cheetah on the logo lol! I had a suggestion that maybe that can be considered. Would it be possible for someone with intimate knowledge of fastcoin to write up a wikipedia article on it? I think it would give some more credibility to the currency. I personally know when I'm looking into new things I try to research it up on wikipedia before hand. I know people can read the forums etc., but to have everything on a wikipedia would be more inviting to people not in the know of altcoins or cryptocurrency in general.

That's actually a great idea. This coin needs popularity. Let's preach the good word !

outside this forum, twitter is the centre of the crypto universe

all FST fans follow the main Fastcoin twitter account, like all the tweets, and retweet and tweet your own FASTCOIN tweets
https://twitter.com/fast_coin

Done. Shouldn't we also revive the subreddit? It looks so dead, I'm afraid to touch it... Smiley

Yeah I thought the same. It's scary in there.

I just went through your YouTube channel. There's a huge issue here... Why is the maximum video quality 360p on most videos ? This is really frustrating, knowing that most of the computer screens are 1080p minimum, and most smartphones 720p.

Fastcoin looks like a really promising coin, I'm glad I invested on time. Let's get it higher.

So in order to convince me to buy, I visited your website (I'm French), aaaand that translation is quite ridiculous haha

You guys wrote "12 Deuxième temps de blocage", which is an absolute non sense. Literally, it means "12 Second (Like in First, Second, Third, Fourth...) blocking time".
In my opinion, the best translation (Which doesn't sound weird) would be:
"12 secondes par bloc" (literally "12 seconds per block", sounds better in french)

But if you want a more literal translation, I'd go with "Temps de bloc de 12 secondes". Yet it sounds weird.

If you need help to translate the rest of the website, I'd be glad to help.
