Oh this idea is awesome. Are you guys serious about a bounty? I'd love to give it a go. Smiley

I like the idea of it being 'internets' where 1 internet = 1mBTC, so you could say '1000 internets to that man!'.

How do you transfer the money though? You enter a twitter name, type 0.10 BTC, hit send - do you have to charge up your 'tipjar' first? Or do you do the transfer direct from your bitcoin client on your PC and the tipjar just sends the '@recipient you recieved 0.10 BTC from @bob' once you see the block appear?

interesting, but what's different from the competitor: http://operationfabulous.com ?

Certainly you have a nicer looking site...but I don't that means much of anything.

Operation Fabulous is great and they're in the same space. Where Advertisingbit is different is the ability to place one ad across the entire network. I believe on OF that you place ads on a site-by-site basis?

Advertisingbit lets you easily place ads on all the sites in the network, and publishers get inventory immediately, instead of waiting for someone to purchase ads on their site.

It's a distributed network like Adsense, where your inventory is shown across all publishers sites.

No bidding, just pay and display. Right?

Yup - Fixed CPM to start with. I'm going to take things slowly to try and counter click fraud.

I'm getting close to releasing an advertising network that uses bitcoin as the exclusive currency. It's a distributed network like Adsense, where your inventory is shown across all publishers sites.

If you're interested in becoming a publisher, email me the URL of your site and approximate monthly unique visitors.

My goals with Advertisingbit are:

 * Provide a tangible commercial service that uses bitcoin exclusively
 * Instant sign-up for publishers and advertisers
 * Keep general ads and 18+ advertisements seperate
 * Nice looking and fun to use service

Keen to hear from you all.
