3  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] Group Buy #9 2/50 ASICMiner Erupter USB 1.01618 ea. @ 10 units on: July 01, 2013, 12:33:25 PM
Reserved.

Yes, OP is being re-used from an older non-group buy post (it was anouncement more or less)

friedcat has posted this about current inventory: "Currently all USBs in stock of our place are either placed as orders or reserved for resellers" here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=217104.0

Are there USBs that are reserved for this group buy or is it possible that there won't be enough in stock to cover this order?
4  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BitMinter.com * Optional Custom Miner, PPLNS, Merged mining, Newbie-Friendly! * on: April 25, 2013, 10:08:32 PM
[6] Wrong proxy settings: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/proxy_setup.xml (use direct connection if you don't need proxy)

I just now found out about this. I use a proxy and ended up setting up Proxifier to force the BitMinter app to go through a proxy and not attempt a direct connection.

Would have saved me a bunch of time if I would read this thread sooner.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Open Source FPGA Bitcoin Miner: Where can I get Quartus? on: April 24, 2013, 04:03:01 AM
In the Open Source FPGA Bitcoin Miner, there is a sample miner written in TCL. In order to run it, I need quarter_stp. However, I have a Xilinx board, so I don't have any of the Altera software. Anyone know if it's available anywhere just to see with this miner can do?

Is it included in any of these:
http://ftp://ftp.altera.com/outgoing/release/

I tried the Modular Python Bitcoin Miner, but that gave me connection problems, and I don't know Python that well.

Browsing for 4 hours- does just staying logged in count as browsing for 4 hours? But then again, I think with the BTC24 scandal, Ive browsed all together for over 3 days now haha.

...wondering the same thing.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Casascius: Cool Looking Paper Wallets? on: April 22, 2013, 01:39:28 AM
How do Casascius coins work? Are they basically paper wallets that you can then import into your wallet?
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Using A webserver as a mining rig on: April 22, 2013, 01:21:51 AM
Probably pointless. I have several web servers, and they all run Linux (CentOS). Since they were designed to be web servers, they don't have great video cards, and even if they did, they run command line only. You would have to do some work to get X or something running to even be able to use the GPU. With a 2 CPU quad core Xeon system with 32gb of RAM, 4TB hard drive space, redundant power and ethernet, it was a fairly decent web server. I got 700 khashes/second per thread.
