1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.7 (Windows/Linux) on: May 18, 2018, 08:30:52 AM
Can anyone help me going please....

I get the "not enough GPU memory to place DAG" message, but feel my hardware should be sufficient?

AMD Athlon A10-7870K Godavari, Quad-Core, 4x3.9GHz, 4MB L2-cache, AMD Radeon R7 integrated
Nvidea GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB

Can anyone help me getting the config to work?

I have applied for the airdrop, but my signature seems to not have been recognized correctly.

Can anyone check my sig and let me know how to fix it?

cheers, p.

Edit: looks like the reason is not enough posts / day. If that's the case, no reply necessary. ;-) aargh.  Roll Eyes
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you include bitcoins in your will (and make it a quest)? on: June 23, 2017, 05:38:23 AM
If I understand it correctly, the seed for the wallet (like in Electrum) can fully reproduce the wallet.

So if I have 2 kids, I could give each of them half the seed.

Makes it impossible for 1 of them to 'grab all', but together they can reproduce my bitcoins even if they can't access my computer anymore.

Can anyone comment whether this could work or raises potential concerns?

I'm quite sure that the price will drop significantly before Aug 1, and then rise again (maybe even higher than it is now) again within short time if everything worked out fine after Aug 1.

So traders will have great opportunities right now if they're doing the right thing, for the long-term investor it may be easier to just sit, weather the August storm and keep your coins.  Smiley

But hey, I'm just a n00b.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin for Retirement on: June 23, 2017, 12:04:42 AM
Personally, I guess I'll try to buy up to 10 bitcoins and leave it with that.

That's about the amount of money I could lose without *losing* crucial parts of my savings for retirement (aimed at in less than 10 years... omg!) ,
but OTOH, if it helps to even maintain the actual purchasing power of my money till then, I'd be happy already.
If it continues to rise in value, - wow, I'd be extremely excited and for once in my life, wouldn't have had bad luck with investments (yes, that could be read as a warning sign for you guys out there!  Grin )

Right now just worrying about imminent major wars or economical crises that destroy the US's economy as it is, because both scenarios would likely have an enourmous impact on the Internet structure and thus Bitcoin also.

cheers,
p.
