1  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC FPGA GPU overc monit fanspd RPC linux/win/osx/mip/r-pi 3.1.1 on: May 21, 2013, 03:25:17 PM
I have a question about the API:

The values returned for MHash/s Average on the "summary" and "devs" API calls are not very usable when scrypt mining.

It would be great if the API would return these values with higher precision, like to the 5th decimal place. Is that possible? I guess I could make the changes myself if somebody would point me to the right file(s), so I won't have to read through the whole codebase.

Any help would be appreciated.

There seems to be something fishy about blocks 17662-17669. I seem to have submitted only 10% of the usual shares. Might have been connectivity. Not that it's of any consequence, I was only mining with my 71MHash/s iMac, just reporting and asking others if they find the same.

I do have a few questions, not been able to find by search.

1. How much network traffic does mining in a pool generate? if for example i was to put my miner rig in work, would the traffic it generate be noticeable?
2. How loud would a 7970 be in a tower running?

I'd say, don't. People get fired for this stuff all the time, check this forum. You are about to steal electricity/network services from your employer.
