This is a standard split.  If you own 1 bitcoin at $3000, after the split you will get 2 bitcoin at $1500 each.  You still have $3000.  With a standard split, the price usually goes up after the split.
It this were a reverse split(which it is not), you would have 1 bitcoin at $3000 and after the reverse split you would have 1/2 bitcoin at $3000.  Reverse splits usually take the price down after the split.
