ANK tokens will NOT be a security, as we need it to pass the Howey test. ANK is actually a currency, which will be used in the ecosystem. We've actually been a little vague on what exactly the ANK tokens do and the coming days we'll lay out exactly where the value comes from. There'll be a blog in 2-3 days explaining all the aspects of the utility of the ANK token, with many details as to why you would want to possess them. To cut it short if you have a certain amount of ANK in your smart wallet you become eligible for certain things. For exmaple you must have 5 ANK in your smart wallet to have an account to begin with. The top level will include: - a free debit card linked to your account (all expenses are paid for - like charles schwab cards, so you can use it anywhere in the world without worrying about fees) - free educational trading course - free webinars - free datafeeds - free professional trading technologies charting tools (this usually costs thousands) - lowest commissions (<0.01%) - free virtual trading library - yearly meetup with John Cruz Thats just a few things. Theres more but its a bit too much to put into one post. As said theres a blog going up about this soon. Also anyone who becomes top tier get these benefits lifetime. I seriously dont like the feature of etherdelta to match orders manually
Is there a plan of getting added to other exchange like Liqui or bittrex?
Bittrex supports a lot of tokens. Why Veritas is not? If you ask them is because there is no user demand for it. Which is a lot of bull. Who cares about Bittrex anyway? We wanted to be there, we have repeatedly asked them and also other larger crypto exchanges (we even lowered ourselves to begging) and still not on any (larger) exchange. The main point is that all exchanges have missed this ICO and do not have liquidity to earn some easy money. Their fault. Reggie planned to sell 51 mio tokens and is not his fault that only a little bit less than 2 mio was bought. If you ask me good riddance ... They have written bots to artificially place bids anyway (have seen it with my own eyes on Bittrex - and am sure that they are not an exception). Screw them. We will soon be on true exchange and not on some script kiddy playground. |

I hate to comment on the previews since they are just previews, but is anyone else confused by the expression of a rate as a ratio?
Is 'rate' interest rate?
Is 1:100 1%?
Someone please explain.

Hold your horses. It is alpha version of the SW. There are mistakes (like the name Veritaseum) but that is the point of alpha releases. To iron out that kind of mistakes. So some GUI glitches shouldn't really be of any concern. |

PPT the Market begins to understand : This PPT Rocket must go to 100-200$ because it will be used to buy invoices (for this, this pretty thing was born) but by investing PPT in Invoices, PPT will be removed from market and price will rise even more. (in this way it was exactly planned, and the plan will be fulfilled)
There are some people who cannot count to 10 so they don't get this. I hope that you have typed this very very slowly that they will be able to read it. P.S. My post was pure sarcasm on many (or not so many trolls - I deliberately won't mention them by their name) troll posts here. |

I simply fail to understand why are people buying any Crypto and then shill on social media. And they are everywhere. Let it be twitter, slack, blogs, forums you always finds people who are using dooms and gloom day vocabulary like:
"You better sell now before it is too late"
"This coin is a shitty scam."
"You must be an idiot to buy this crappy coin."
"Are you nuts to buy this crap. It has no real world use are you a bloody moron?"
and so on ....
People replying in similar vain are miserable, pathetic and sad excuses of human beings. Get a life and finally climb out of the basements of your parents. You've been there far too long.

Idk guys, I successfully bought PPT with 500 ETH at various nearby price levels, but I see that the big buy order that was there for 3700 ETH has dissapeared, this is not good news.
And now this SEC news, I am getting freaked out a little bit. ...
You must be a special kind of idiot. What kind of fool buys 500 ETH worth of this crap token? This project is over, this SEC ruling has decimated all crappy ETH ICO tokens, it's over , accept it. Good luck selling "invoices" without a money transmitter or securities license, this project will be shut down faster than LibertyReserve  hi I bought PPT during the ICO, i am scared about the SEC news, it can make price go down, what should I do? any news from devs?

Hahaha you must be very naive to think that. Just ask Kim Dotcom or Julian Assange.... Every US person is under US jurisdiction, and I bet most people on this thread are from the USA. It is illegal for USA citizens to buy this PPT token, but everyone was ignoring this until now. Brace yourself the SEC is coming for this coin now , as for any other unregistered security! This project is screwed It seems that for you the world ends at USA border. USA not equals planet Earth. I urge all of you to sell all your PPT at once and at the same time. Would love to shell out couple of hundreds ETH to stock up more. |

Thus, I strongly believe you do suggest the token was/is equity. Indeed, you believe lots of things I notice. Nevertheless you can take it that I'm not suggesting that VERI itself is a corporate entity but rather that it can manifest as an asset of such a corporate entity. Yeah, I do believe in lots of things, but it's not like you can list them all out here. And you are just playing word game here with unsubstantiated claims. From most of your comments, I can see you are not academically/formally educated, more like self-educated. And you do not have professional background in any field. Dorky. You seem well educated and fairly intelligent. On the top of that you are also patient and willing to help/educate. I would feel much better and would be also much more productive for our VERI community as a whole, for you to allocate your precious and limited time into writing/recording some more tehnical stuff and creating a "document" aka VERI for dummies video/PPT version. By doing that you would create something immensely important for VERI holders and others too. Your time is too valuable to waste it on people like toknormal. |

Our patent apps predate the Goldman apps, and the Goldman apps cover less area.
You don't have a patent, you just filed an application for one (which won't be granted since Goldman Sachs got his). If they decide to take you to court for violation of intellectual property rights, it will take years for the justice to rule out. In the meantime veritaseum will be dead in the water. That is not true. If some patent predates another then it comes to Prior Art which is pretty easy to prove based on patent submitted dates. "In the meantime veritaseum will be dead in the water." In the meantime all crypto currencies will be dead in the water. Is this enough sensational to you? Love the ignore button.  Useful feature isn't it? Love it! |

In crypto patent doesn't work how you can can make it effective in decentralized project. Only noobs will care about this kind of new nothing will happen to this project if you think this trick would be nice to buy cheap than it will be useless. First post for Jeremy, no FUD at all, he's a legend in the crypto field. His first sentence is implying something completely else "Game over for veritaseum." With statements like that no one can be a legend. He is not tweeting to be so abrupt. If he would say I wonder how VERI will combat this patent or How will handle potential infringement or How will this patent affect VERI then his statement would be completely un-FUD. As such is 100 % FUD. |

Panic. Panic. Panic. Lets flee this sinking ship. VERI is dead!!! All crypto currencies are dead. Get real. There are millions of patents and significant part of them are infringing each other. Besides very similar patent was already granted to Reggie and his team. And if it comes to worse have you perhaps heard of possible settlements among affected parties? Reggie can (if needed) simply sign an agreement with them. Having a patent does not give you right to charge unreasonable amount of money from others. So stop spreading FUD because it is not needed. P.S. If you are really set on spreading this then do not forget to reach out to many on bitcointalk forums for all existing cryptos and assets out there. And to make it sure include slack channels, youtube, twitter as well. |
