I bought in at ICO and I remember in the whitepaper you guys said you would have an additional token sale after prototype release? Is this still going ahead and if it is, how many OAX coins will be for sale, and at what price? I guess the initial ICO $10m was not enough to make a website eh? Tbh I think you should just lock those coins and forget the additional token sale, it's a silly idea all round to have a second token sale after it is on multiple exchanges.....
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Growers International $GRWI on Cryptopia - Seed2Sale, Strain Chain, Tools on: December 16, 2017, 01:47:15 PM
Staking info :

With 1000 GRWI -> 6.33 GRWI / day

With 1 BTC -> 113 € / day

I have 500 GRWI and I get around 1 GRWI/day so I'm not sure how you get so much?

Why does my wallet not sync? I've had it open all day and it still says "Out of Sync" and remains stuck on "15 Weeks Behind", no signs of it syncing.

you need to add nodes on config file, from the first post of this topic

Where do I find the config file?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2133048.msg21320116#msg21320116

Sorry, I'm a beginner. But I saw where the nodes were on the first page, so where do I input them?
Can you give me specific instructions, please? thank you.

you must add the entire list of these nodes to a file vsync.conf on folder Vsync, which you have in the folder Roaming.
and restart wallet

Sorry but I'm on a Mac and there is no Vsync.conf file here, or I am looking in the wrong place. I've also tried to open it up through the wallet "open wallet config file" option but that doesn't do anything.

Under the "Go" menu (in the Finder), select Go to Folder and type ~/Library/Application Support/Vsync

create a file called vsync.conf with a text editor.

Thank you so much ^^ On another note, anyone have an idea when the wallet updates its own nodes? This method deters new users from joining imo.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Binary-Chain - VeriCoin and Verium - The First Dual-Blockchain Protocol on: December 08, 2017, 05:06:46 PM
But what exactly are the technological implications of this? Is this a platform with a currency, is it designed to operate as a currency only such as Litecoin? I checked this project about 4 months ago for the first time and I find it interesting, something I believe Soferox launched an ICO for. But I'm not tech savy and all this announcement isn't making me any wiser on what exactly is being developed? Will this be applicable to other chains? I'm looking hard to find something here that I'm missing. Can someone guide me?

Like most crypto projects, I think the ultimate utilization of verium/vericoin's unique features will probably play out in ways not yet envisioned.  But there are some things that I can envision already, and maybe I can explain it better if I apply those ideas to an alternate reality where bitcoin core and bitcoin cash joined forces instead of going to war.  (Warning: possible plasphemy ahead for btc maximalists  Wink)

As we know, the BTC core community has moved away from the idea of providing on-chain scaling, emphasizing "store of value" aspects and the idea of digital gold.  The response is BCH, which has a community trying to operate it as p2p digital cash, with super low fees but still on-chain.  That will be difficult (maybe impossible) if they stay proof-of-work.

So imagine if BCH instead of trying to steal BTC hash power moved to proof-of-stake for the lowest fees possible.  This would have less security than BTC blockchain but would have much lower transaction fees than BTC.  In this scenario, BTC and BCH decide to work together on a single wallet (like the Gemini wallet coming for verium/vericoin) and institute auxiliary proof-of-work mining connecting both chains.  This binary chain wallet would allow someone to send BCH cheaply for every day purchases, while also having BTC as an extremely secure place to deposit funds for the medium to long term, and for large transactions.  Also, BTC could continue to work on 2nd layer solutions while joined in this binary chain. It would seem to be the best of both worlds. The proof-of-stake side gets additional security from the binary chain while retaining low fee txs, and the proof-of-work side gets an easy way to withdraw funds into a cash like system for every day use: BTC digital gold + BCH digital cash.

You could even have competition between 2nd layer low fee solutions on the BTC chain versus BCH transactions.  This would fuel innovation while both communities are synergistically working together in the same system.

Now with verium & vericoin we will have something that can create the above vision from the ground up, with a specific algorithm in verium to retain decentralization through CPU mining. I think this project has so many unique things about it, that the road map can only be used as a rough guide for how it will impact cryptocurrencies.

Long story short, I believe this project is ripe for a black swan event.

You make a good case. I agree with all you said, Vericoin will shoot up very soon, just wish the development would speed up!

Hello dadonn CageKennylz,

It was about these pepe memes. Some people started posting them on Telegram without stop.
I respect others opinion. And Dave respects for sure. But there always should be limits of decency.
Also i can find nothing offensive in Daves' words in relation to people who funded the project.
All investors are valuble and respectable members of the OAX comunnity. It was so from the very beginning and will always be so.
dadonn, I appreciate your words, really perfectly said. I'm pretty sure you had/have some Apple shares..)

First time I've seen those, but they are pretty funny, and that's coming from someone who invested quite a bit in the ICO.
Hopefully Pepe can help us in the future. Heil.

Sounds like the price drop is getting to the management. Good leaders have brass balls but this crypto environment where any and everyone has a magnifying glass up your ass 24/7 has to be brutal. Normally when a start up company gets funded, they go off and work like nuts without having the responsibility of being a public company with the internet as audience. Double edged sword. Sure, you raise a ton of money with nothing more than a white paper that has no absolutely no legal ramifications, Yes, you get the money before you've even done a thing but you have an ass ton of pressure if things don't go right...24/7.

I do have a question though:

"if your interests are focused on immediate token price and pepe memes, you're likely not going to understand any of my comments. I suggest you act on your comments and bow out gracefully, sell your OAX tokens and focus your creative efforts elsewhere."

What's a pepe meme? As for Oax, it's the not the first bag I've ever held nor my last. Without getting into details, the very first serious investment I ever made tumbled about 60% in a couple of months time. I woke up every day and felt a little sicker. Within six months, it was down around 80%. With all that was in me, I bought more. Not many things felt worse than buying again. It would rise and fall, somewhere between 70%-80% of my purchase. I bought more when I could and stopped thinking about it. I still liked the team, the vision and frankly, not all that much had gone wrong. I averaged down to the point where my total losses were about 33% and it started to climb. A year later, it had tripled. This was not in crypto so a year was a remarkable turnaround. Today, that company is known as Apple. I'm kidding. It was a small company that built cell phone towers and leased them. Was eventually bought out.

Hang in there and remember, we invested in this team, not the fickle market place.

Cheers

He's just being a bit condescending towards the people who funded his project, and generalizing all of them as Pepe-meming online nerds. Seems like an arrogant know it all if you ask me.

P.S. Pepe the frog is the symbol of the Alt-Right. Warning: It will trigger liberals around you if you are in public

Just abit confused why you haven't decided on a token supply for the ICO? If it is capped at $15m why not state now what supply is?

The Price of 1 CND = $0.01. Dividing the hard cap by that will give you the total number of tokens that will be issued in the token sale.

So why not just state that there is a 1.5 billion supply? Don't see the need to create confusion...

The only problem I can see is the second token sale which I feel will lower the price way down due to increased supply and people selling in anticipation of this...
