Unfortunately there is no such thing as a "safe and sound" altcoin investment. Cryptocurrency investments are EXTREMELY risky and highly volatile.
Investing into cryptocurrencies is highly risky and at the same time this profit you in a better way than any other investment. And as mentioned volatility will always be there with bitcoin and altcoins. Just because of that users make a big profit. So I see risk and volatility as the beauty to bitcoin.

Yeah, that's why cryptocurrencies attract so many desperate people who invest their last savings, hoping to multiply it. I'm one of them  Grin

I've got a hundred USD which I wanna invest in some altcoin. I know this amount is nothing, but since I'm a complete noob at cryptocurrensies, I decided to begin with the small amount.
