1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: In 10 years 20$ will turn 100k on: October 25, 2018, 06:12:53 AM
10 years time in crypto currencies . 20$ will become at least 100k?
Rn I'm holding tron, and eos 20$ and ontology 10$ airdrop. I don't plan on moving it around cus its nothing to me. I'll wait it out 10 years.
As you can see everytime there is new players enters in market and I doubt that your coin will still remain its price after 10 years as cryptos are volatile, they can drop or gain any minute now. So I think it will be a waste if you don't do anything to your coin now.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange it or Hold it on: June 29, 2018, 11:46:37 PM
Knowing that you could get free coins from Airdrops, would you exchange it once you got the coins or hold it until the vslue rises up?

You will depend on what token it is. Of course you need to know what is happening to it, if it has a chance to rise up, or not. If not, you can exchange it already so you won't waste your time waiting for nothing. You need to be smart in holding and exchanging the tokens that you have so you will not be regretting the decisions you have made.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shall I buy BTC? on: June 29, 2018, 11:42:55 PM
Is buying BTC currently a good idea, or should I be going with ethereum?
Pls suggest...

The thing is when you want to invest, search for the best that you think and use your money to buy it. In my case, I do not yet invest but i am planning to invest both in ethereum and bitcoin. Doing that is not bad and i know there will be a profit in both crypto currencies. For now, buy already what you want because the prices are good to buy now.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good strategy to buy tokens at low price directly after ICO? on: June 29, 2018, 11:19:26 PM
Hello
You know that most of ICOs lose their token price directly after token distribution. Sometimes it happens through bounty hunters, sometimes for other reasons... So the question is as follows: Is it good strategy to buy tokens at low price directly after ICO?

It depends on the person, so if he/she wants to hold it in that token, then it is not bad, so he/she can qait for it to pump and sell it. On the other hand, if they wanted to sell it immediately, probably they wanted to invest it in bitcoin, or other reasons. Selling the token and buying bitcoin is also a good idea because you will also get profit in doing it.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are. You leaving crypto? on: June 29, 2018, 10:36:18 PM
I am seriously considering it.
There is no future in a small market cap that is pumped and dumped!

In addition, trading bots are running the show: milking everyone!

If you has negative thoughts about it happening then and now, you should not used it in the first place. All we know is the bitcoin is volatile; and for sure no one controls and regulates it. We cannot predict it when it will be high or low, and that's the norm in using it. Using bitcoin alone is risky and you should be brave enough in taking the risk of it.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 80% of ICOs are Scams on: June 29, 2018, 12:47:16 PM
Saw this study on twitter... https://twitter.com/Zeex_me/status/978981735101878272

I've seen a lot of people asking about how many legit ICOs there are, so I thought I'd share

Quote from the article: "The study begins by breaking down ICOs into 6 groups: Scam, Failed, Gone Dead, Dwindling, Promising, Successful. “On the basis of the above classification,” they wrote, “we found that approximately 81% of ICO’s were Scams, ~6% Failed, ~5% had Gone Dead, and ~8% went on to trade on a exchange.”

"Scams were defined by researchers as “Any project that expressed availability of [an] ICO investment (through a website publishing, ANN thread, or social media posting with a contribution address), did not have/had no intention of fulfilling project development duties with the funds, and/or was deemed by the community (message boards, website or other online information) to be a scam.”

DYOR people ...
Well nowadays as bitcoin's value is low than the previous value people who run some ICOs choose to scam people to get their loss by that, scamming people because it is the easiest way to get back or gain back what they loss.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin difficult to understand? on: June 29, 2018, 12:10:41 PM
If you look at it as Currency, it is difficult for an average person to understand it because it is different.
Bitcoin, being a different kind of a digital currency, it breaks down conventional thinking in many aspects. No central regulatory body. The concept of mining. The open-ledger (blockchain), the way miners are rewarded, how transporting value is determined by its packet size and not value, the hash rate, the concept of limited supply. The 100 Million pennies in a Bitcoin, etc.
Its difficult enough for people in the money space to thoroughly understand Bitcoin (we all say we understand it, but do we really?).
For a common person, its an overkill. Its like trying to explain the concept of TCP/IP, Networking, Routing, the Internet for someone who wants to use email.  Overkill.
I don't really see bitcoin as a thing that is hard to understand its just people don't want accept bitcoin so they only say that they hardly understand what bitcoin is. But if you think that bitcoin is hard to understand in the first place you will surely having a hard time to accept it
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what makes you trust a new altcoin? on: June 29, 2018, 11:13:51 AM
i wonder what makes you trust a new altcoin? what you're looking for in their company page etc...?
I look for their potential to do a good job by looking if many people are also using their coin because by that you can tell that they are credible and liable to give you a profit and it is a sign that their are true and reliable. Also I look for the teams that made that coin whether they are true person or not
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy more and HODL!!! on: June 28, 2018, 09:29:40 PM
Over some months now BTC has seen so much decrease in its price and nonetheless its still the greatest coin of all time. I have seen people selling in escrow markets with high amounts of btc and I see them as people who are selling because they fear btc will drop down to the dip. As for me I always say that I will take advantage of this time by buying as much as I can and laugh later. I think this is the right time to for us to buy. What do you think guys? Any contribution is also accepted.
Well you have the right to do in your own and I think it depends on people oh how they want to either hold their bitcoin or sell it because we know it is volatile so many people are panicking whenever its price is going low. It is a good strategy to buy and buy bitcoins because as of now its price is kinda affordable not unlike few months ago.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency in five years! on: June 28, 2018, 02:29:28 PM
Legendary investor Tim Draper is confident that in five years all will use crypto currency. According to Draper, the technological shift that we can observe now will be more significant than the transition from the Stone Age to the Bronze Age. Answering the question about how he sees the current situation in comparison with the period when he invested in the technologies of web 1.0 and 2.0, he replied that web technologies and transformed the concept of information, while blocking has the potential to transform almost all industries, including government services.
With technology and discoveries in the future I guess cryptos will arise and people will give credit to it and will become credible to people. I hope for the next few years crypto will be known all over the world and government would give crypto a chance to run in each countries.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we make sure that our money we invest in Bitcoin is safe? on: June 22, 2018, 10:36:47 PM
I just want to know how those people behind bitcoin secure the money they will invest because as far as I know there are lots of hackers all over the world.
I think they make sure that the investment that they choose is reliable and credible to make profit with their money. You won't just have to put your money in an investment without checking it whether it is reliable or not but you need to make sure that it will make profit with your money.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can market go down now? on: June 22, 2018, 09:37:25 PM
Hey what do you think, can scenario of January repeat? I mean can everything suddenly fall again?
The market, it always goes up and down and we can't do anything about it because we can't prevent it anytime we want. And if ever it will happen again we don't have choice of course because even we don't want it to happen it will no matter what.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do we complain when the market is down? on: June 22, 2018, 03:15:10 PM
Ever since bitcoin price started dropping, most of the threads i see here are : is bitcoin dying?, will bitcoin go green again?, should i hold or sell? etc. I laugh when i see such threads. Every business has a window of opportunity when the market is ripe to enter. This is the time to invest more in bitcoin. Every good investor see every dip as an opportunity to buy more bitcoin and hold. The weak ones see dips and they start to shiver; selling all their bitcoins, even including their altcoins. Please community members, the way we are handling this drop in bitcoin will scare new members from even investing in the coin which will cause a further decrease in the price and the unexpected might happen. Let's have a healthy discussion about our coin even in hard times, and it will attract more people to invest and eventually pump the price again. Friends what do you also think?
Some people think that the market is always at fault but little did they not know that they are one of the factors why bitcoin's value is decreasing. Simply holding bitcoins for a long tine might affect bitcoin's value in the market as it is not circulates that what should be.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's your reason joining here in crypto? on: June 22, 2018, 02:41:55 PM
what's your reason joining here in crypto?
My main reason why I join here in crypto is of course to get an extra financial assistance as I always need an extra money for my necessities as student. We have many projects that we need to put some money and I am ashame to get from my parents as we are not that wealthy to provide all of my necessities son I am the one who make a move for myself to get some extra financial.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Starbucks is accepting Crypto! on: June 22, 2018, 10:41:45 AM
Starbucks is accepting crypto-currencies...well sort of anyway, let me elaborate.

At the end of June, there will be a token sale for Zeex which is a platform for gift card suppliers to sell their cards for crypto and us crypto holders to finally get the chance to exchange our crypto for products and services without having to convert to fiat or pay fees. Using the Zeex App you will be able to buy gift cards from big name retailers such as Amazon, Xbox and yes, Starbucks in exchange for crypto with 3 taps of the app.

We've heard many of these new Blockchain startups make lofty claims before but they are often short on delivery not so with Zeex.

They already have partnerships with Zeek their Sister company that will provide them with access to over 350 big name brands. Recently they had another partnership with Russian gift card supplier Giftery and there are more in the pipeline.

But what is really impressive is that they will have the app ready to use shortly after the end of the token sale.

If you check out the video below you can actually see the app in action in a Starbucks coffee shop in New York..be prepared to be amazed!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXnBEor6440&t=1s
It will be a good news for people who loves drinking on starbucks like me because it will be convenient for me to pay mu drinks because it is always hassle whenever I pay because of long line in the counter.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: June 21, 2018, 02:05:10 PM
People here have claimed that Bitcoin is in fact controlled and ruled by China, as mining is centralized by Chinese mining institutions.

Do you think that China is controlling/ruling bitcoin yes or no?
I don't think China controlled bitcoin it's just there are many people  from china use bitcoin in their daily lives because we know that china has one of the higher population in the world and there are more interest in technology so maybe it is one of the reasons why they use bitcoin and why there are so many users of bitcoin in china.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in crypto long-term? on: June 21, 2018, 01:23:24 PM
Do you really look for a long term profit, like the people who had bitcoin in 2014 or are you here trying to get a quick buck with a minimum effort?
No I don't look for long term investment because i know bitcoin should be circulate and get back to the market to be used by other people. Just like what money do but we know that we can hold money but not bitcoin.
