1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 29, 2018, 04:05:49 PM

Italy crisis hurting banks...

should we put together a collection?

 Cry
It definitely looks like it's hurting all the markets, may cause some Fear and some hedgers into Gold and Bitcoin?

Latest evidence [last 6 months] suggests bitcoin is not the new gold. If anything (with a few analysts pointing out that) bitcoin is a hyper charged high risk high return asset ahead of stock market

Which means, bitcoin is negatively correlated to VIX and ahead of [negative] VIX. (observed earlier this year)

If this relationship holds that would mean if we're to see a global financial crisis worse than 2008 later this year in Q4, btc is going to $1K before that.

No way it goes to $3,000. Too many people will pile in if it goes anywhere near low $5,000’s.
That's funny. There were supposedly too many people waiting to buy in $14,000 as well - like bill gates and da bag insitutions were waiting there to buy every coin at 14K.

You most likely thought it was going to $0 in 2014
I actually drew charts showing that it would bottom around 300 and reach ATH in 2 years. Everyone thought it was super bearish and laughed me out of the forum. I ended up being wrong... it went lower than I expected, bottomed at 160 and reached ATH in 3 years. I was too bullish.

So what is your new chart telling you about this bear mkt then?
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you know the Estimated Price of Bitcoin in 2019? You will be surprised. on: May 25, 2018, 08:57:43 AM
Yes Im surprised how peoeple still believe in forecasts like this.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where's the bottom of this drop on: May 24, 2018, 01:28:31 PM
once 6K is broken (which looks likely now), next will be around 3K.

I agree 3k would seem possible if we broke 6k, but there is massive resistance at 6600 which was tested 3 times in February and it held strong then, I'm guessing we're going to test that level. IF we would go below 6k then it's time to buy buy buy! At least for me.

Last two 6K tests already exhausted a lot of buying power. I'd rather btc not test 6K again from here.
Anywhere near 6K this time market could easily break down by leveraged shorts pushing through the floor collapsing the whole structure -  which will be very ugly..

I don't understand a lot of the replies above who think 3K is impossible. It's this kind of blind optimism the market will get rid of before we could see a genuine bull market again.

6  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC going to $30000 by Dec 2018!! Up up up! + ADA, EOS, Ripple on: April 11, 2018, 10:19:34 PM
Excellent anaylsis. We will see how the market unfolds.... thanks for sharing.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $15k in March, $8.5k by June, then $30+k by Q1/2019? on: April 05, 2018, 11:11:49 AM
Keep on dreaming - if that's what keeps you going............
We are in a bear market. Look at how much time it took to get out from one last time.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: A signal of bull market or trap? on: April 04, 2018, 04:05:00 PM
It's a bull trap.
The momentum from 20K to 6K is too strong. Any momentary rise to 10 - 12K will only be a trap.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: April will be around 5000 - and then further down on: April 03, 2018, 09:33:00 AM
A huge amount of selling pressure as profit seeking capital is fleeing to the bond market.
So I agree we are likely to see lower price in April.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin and Ethereum having difficulties? on: March 28, 2018, 10:13:45 AM
It's going to go a lot lower than most people here could imagine.
As a matter of fact, the inflation in price we experienced in 2017 was abnormal - despite very few people would like to admit it.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought at 19k, now what? on: March 22, 2018, 11:08:29 PM
I'm surprised so many people here just advise OP to hold.
OP, do you realise there is a chance btc might not rise to 15K in the next year?
You're incurring interest rate every single day on your credit card purchase.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Snapchat Officially Confirmed the Ban of ICO Ads on: March 22, 2018, 11:01:16 PM
Well. Sadly the ICO market has been badly abused by a relatively large group of people / so called developers. It's inevitable the ico space will drag the crypto world down with it.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis on: March 20, 2018, 10:33:57 AM
Hate to say but one of the best gauges has always been the contrarian sentiment indicator.
I personally don't feel desperation in btc community. Most people are still hopeful this is going to be short correction and things would "get back to normal" fairly soon.
The more people think like this, the more it WON'T turn out to be the case...........

Just my thoughts....
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: The breakout is fake, BTC price will dip again. on: March 15, 2018, 10:53:38 AM
Very good analysis.
Volume is needed to make any price anaylsis meaningful.
Keep up the good work thank you.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis on: March 09, 2018, 03:35:26 PM
The market is oversold, so IMO a local bottom is in or will be in tomorrow, unless there's other unknown reason than TA for the dumping.
Daily MACD just crossed into negative, but this isn't too bearish if if will recover soon. On the contrary, it could provide a good entry point when it will cross back into positive.
I am expecting the market to build a triangle, that could take about a month to resolve up or down. If up, then slowly moving (at first) towards ~30 k$.
If it will break down, then probably we'll see a final bottom around 5,000 $.

Did you use RSI when you said "market is oversold" - because RSI hitting 20 doesn't mean it's goin back up immediately. It could be there for weeks

In the 24h and 12h time frames, the market is oversold. In BTC trading, unless a bear market is confirmed, it doesn't stay oversold for long.

OK - how do you define a BTC bear market. Below 200d avg?
If Mt Gox keeps selling rest of holding at spot market I'm pretty sure it will be a bear market
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might continue Bear market for another 1-2 months????? on: March 09, 2018, 01:57:08 PM
Difficult to predict but a real bear market could be years..........
17  Other / Meta / Re: Does merit really helping the forum. on: March 09, 2018, 01:09:31 PM
A problem is, I think people are in general not very generous with giving merits to even good posts.....

You are incorrect.. check most merited users - some of the guys in the top 20 are fantastic posters (I am not claiming to be one of them) they bring value to the forum, I learn from plenty of those guys.

you on the other hand are a Pajeet poster so get no merits.

Is it necessary to attack me personally like this?
Also, your comment is sort of racist.
This is pretty bad IMO

Pajeet posters are low quality posters who are here for bounties, airdrops and sig campaigns only. Generally not from the western world. Sometimes the English they write is so bad we don't understand them. Can't be racist if it covers 1/2 the world

1. I'm very sorry there are times you couldn't understand my English
2. "Can't be racist if it covers 1/2 the world" - say whatever pleases your heart.

Well here are some links which you might find very amusing then - which will make your claim totally baseless and BS. Do check these out :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats

Most generous recent merit senders

Like TMAN said, there are a "lot" of posts getting merited every now and then.

Instead of complaining that you are not getting merit - you can do the following things :
1. Stop acting like a bitch and start having your own personality. Learn to make quality discussions and not simply agree with everything which the person above you says.
2. Start to read the posts made by the top posters and learn how they contribute - maybe you will learn something yourself and some English as well in due course.
3. The best way to get rid of this problem is to leave this forum. Period.

I completely do not understand how some of these replies have to be so hostile and angry?
Someone points out a problem / an opinion, you agree or disagree, explain.
Why does it have to be so angry?

Also, the "stats" you're referring to does not take into account the "percentage" of posts getting merits.
Relative vs absolute, always look at both when you talk about stats.

Say, 1% of posts receive merit(s), then you could start asking yourself... do I see more than 1 quality post for every 100 I read?

Stats like "1012234 posts received merits" really is not useful in decision making.

Another example, when you report stock price, you don't just report the stock price. You also report percentage change from yesterday! Absolute & relative. You look at both
