Unfortunately I no longer have a way of acquiring coins without paying credit card style fees.

Untrue. Talk to Tangible Cryptography:

Last I checked, Bitcoin isn't just a 'Murican currency.

I don't blame Pirate, I blame the Exchanges.
The constant hacks, and outrageous fee hikes (This means you CAVirtex!) have done way more damage to the Bitcoin economy.

I'm not a speculator, I'm an avid user of Bitcoin for trade. Unfortunately I no longer have a way of acquiring coins without paying credit card style fees.
There is no longer any incentive to buy stuff with Bitcoin, only investments in ponzi schemes like BTCST.

Bitcoin by design is a Deflationary economy.
If you don't like it, don't put your money in it.

LOL! GTFO.

All these groups of disorganized miners keep the network secure.
7  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Bitcoin is the new Pet Rock on: July 05, 2011, 03:19:43 AM
if bitbills.com is shut down, then bitbills are worthless.

That statement alone tells me you know nothing about bitbills.

The Private wallet keys are embedded in the bitbill. Even if they got shut down you could still redeem it.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regular exchange hours instead of 24/7 open market? on: June 20, 2011, 02:32:18 AM
Forex markets trade 24/7, why can't bitcoin?
It is a currency, right?
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Open Source Internet... Soon?! on: June 06, 2011, 03:47:09 AM
It makes me cringe everytime someone says Wireless Mesh networks will be the future of the Internet. The fact is, Wireless Mesh networks don't scale well, especially over long distances (coast to coast).
It takes time to transmit a packet from node to node. The latency involved in transmitting a packet long distances over a mesh network would make todays internet unusable. There's a reason the Internet has backbone providers, their job is to send a packet over long distances with as few "hops" as possible.

A wireless mesh internet would be like going back to using the telegraph.
10  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Re: Looking to hire up to 3 full-time programmer for Canadian bitcoin startup. (paid on: June 03, 2011, 11:13:48 AM
Dude, if you're going to do a bitcoin startup, you do it in bitcoin.

Good luck paying those payroll deductions(EI, CPP, Income Tax) to the government in bitcoins.
11  Other / Obsolete (buying) / WTB Bottle Popper on: June 02, 2011, 02:55:59 AM
Looking to buy a bottle popper for BTC.
Getting tired of the shitty bottle openers I have that end up causing my beer to spray all over the walls.
Make me an offer, shipping is to Canada.

FYI it looks like this:
