1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AIRDROP] Spectre Security Coin on: October 23, 2018, 03:34:46 AM
Which coin did you guys rip-off? or is that what they call cloning? You guys don't seem to have a source code. I wonder if you wrote the code from scratch or if you cloned another repo. Your research is insufficient unfortunately. If you look at GitHub for Spectrecoin you can see what they are doing. That is if you are able to understand these things.

Let's see your source code and see what coin you ripped off. Was it PIVX or something similar? Let's have a look

Was that DASH you ripped off, or another DASH clone (rip-off)? You have Darksend in your wallet, wow, that's original technology and it works so well....

You guys must be pissed off that DASH is using your technology. Why didn't you rip-off PIVX instead, much better code base and has actual privacy. Was it too difficult to deal with the Zerocoin stuff...?

The suspense is killing me @Blobboy and Rossman, which coin did you rip-off?

the whitepaper for XSPEC also has a few grammar issues which i couldnt find in XSPC's white paper.

FYI Mixins and mixin should be Mixing's and mixing.

it looks bad on the 2016 spectre to see them trying to discredit a project that's built with the goals to help other cryptos and create a standard on what coins should have and help those coins using that community.

FYI as well, smart ass, a mixin is term for a 'dummy' anonymous transaction output used in a ring signature and is not the same as the word 'mixing' and mixins is the plural of mixin. Think of it as a mix-in, something that you mix in with something else.

i cant find many online resources to back up the claim that mixin is a word. mix-in would be grammatically correct

Mixin is a class for object orientated programming languages reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mixin
and there is 0 dictionary's that contain mixin as a word. with that meaning not even urban.
https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=mixin&utm_source=search-action

You must be pretty dumb, Blobboy, a mixin is just a made up noun, like Blobboy is not in the dictionary, just a name for something. Monero started using it (https://www.monero.how/monero-glossary#privacy-level) and as they have the same mechanism as Monero for adding mixins they use the same term.

...and you wanna talk about grammar as this is highly relevant to the coin being discussed in this thread;

So, you, Blobboy, say it should be Mixing's - You use an apostrophe to show that a thing or person belongs or relates to someone or something. What is the thing that belong to your Mixing? Oh, and isn't ..ing ending in your mixing a verb tense? So, how does something belong to a verb?

Let's make this into a grammar discussion, that's a lot of fun!

Where is your source code: https://github.com/SpectreSecurityCoin/SpectreSecurityCoin/

All I get is a 404 error, no source code

I don't see a poor self entitled attitude at all; I see alarm and fear; which is the 'kick-in the butt' this coin offers others. This is an example of an opportunity. I see a coin who could use our services, please do... Come over and see what we can do to help improve the strength and security of your coin while improving your confidence in the project its driving.

Rossman

Is that even English? WTF are you trying to say?

Were you stupid and didn't do research? or are you trying to say that you are opportunists leeching onto another project to get yours going?

Clear, is it not...
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AIRDROP] Spectre Security Coin on: October 22, 2018, 01:33:38 PM
I don't think that the real SPECTRE team has ever accused you guys of having any kind of affiliation, they simply state that you use extremely similar name and ticker and that this is not random. You have done this on purpose. Nobody will believe that you accidentally chose, those names for the coin, Twitter and ticker by accident. And, doesn't everyone who wants to start a new coin project do a little bit of research? Like, search Coinmarketcap and here for coins with the same name? Obviously they do...

So you guys are either:

1) Clueless and useless and stupid for not having done any basic research (...and caused a coincident of infinitely small possibility using the same details). In which cased you should just rename and start over. That is if you serious about being taken seriously.

2) You are just another masternode scam amongst hundreds.

also, if you selling masternodes, who is the escrow?

And then you accuse Spectrecoin, have a closer look at what they are doing and dream on...
7  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Spectre Security Coin is a scam and impersonating an established project on: October 22, 2018, 01:25:08 PM
I agree with the above, the so called team behind Spectre Security Coin have used a good coin details on purpose. There are too many similarities for that to be random. I agree that it has to be a scam.

When are you going to write a complete announcement? Sounds pretty interesting and I would like to know some more about Bunnycoinz.

We are just in the process of setting up a Twitter, website etc. and when that's done, a fuller announcement will be provided.

WE ARE TAKING OVER BUNNYCOIN
...and there is nothing you can do about it!!!

BunnyCoin >> BunnyCoinz [BUNZ]

>> OVERVIEW <<

We are creating a new Masternode coin based on PIVX w/ the full Zerocoin implementation and the distribution will be done in two phases:

>> 1 <<
We will take a snapshot of the BunnyCoin blockchain in around 2 weeks (the exact block number to be announced later this week). Everyone that holds BunnyCoin (BUN) at that point will also own the same amount of BunnyCoinz [BUNZ] on the new blockchain. Full instructions for how to claim your BUNZ will be provided closer to the snapshot. In short, you will need to control the private keys for your BunnyCoin (BUN) and so use a desktop or other wallet where you are in control. You need to withdraw your BunnyCoin from exchanges before the snapshot. Further instructions will be provided.

>> 2 <<
Once the new BUNZ blockchain is running we will initiate a "reward swap" of old BunnyCoin (BUN) for new BUNZ. That means that you will obtain whatever BunnyCoin balance at the time of the snapshot plus a reward for burning your BunnyCoin. Detailed instructions will be provided. We are basically offering new masternode coins and a development team with a budget for your old stale BunnyCoins that no longer have any value. We are intending to burn more than 50% of BunnyCoin this way.

We will adjust the number of coins in the genesis transaction to take into account how many BunnyCoin are offered through the burn. There will be a simple anonymous registration process.

Further updates to follow....get your BunnyCoins ready for something better...

Oh, and yes, we do moderate this thread as there is just too much crap. Free speech of course but cut the crap.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: October 09, 2018, 11:46:52 AM
Hello,  I am moving all my bitcoins to buy every last one of these coins. This is the next big thing guys, this is the btc 2.0 you were waiting for. You missed btc, you missed eth, you even missed eos...So, don't repeat your mistakes anymore with this great coin!

Do you really think that Spectre will be the next big thing? I know that the dev team is working hard for the success, but there are so many anonymous coin projects out there. It is very difficult to be the next big thing at the moment.

Can you explain why you think this project will skyrocket?

Not sure if skyrocket is the thing to aim for. I have followed Spectrecoin for some time and if you read the latest newsletter and see what they are planning, they are actually probably the best privacy coin once they have come out with a couple of more updates. I read with interest the section about Tor and not just the fact that Spectrecoin uses Tor but the way they are using it. This is what is says in the newsletter:

"the Spectrecoin wallet communicates exclusively through TOR and will never associate itself with your public IP address, but only broadcast over the network using an .onion address. It is also important to note that the Spectrecoin network rejects any network connection other than TOR. Only nodes reachable via .onion addresses are accepted."

I challenge you to find another project that has Tor integrated in the same way and has Tor as default. Just this makes Spectrecoin different. They will also make sure that the wallet works in Tor censored countries.

Anonymous coins, Ring Signatures, Tor only connections. and they can now use only the most recent Tor version.

I think that the developers are really clever and if you have the knowledge, have a look at the GitHub and see how they are making it all. Spectrecoin is solid tech, proof-of-stake, with privacy like Monero and Tor as default (and integrated). Which other coins do that?

I'm excited to see what comes next and when people will discover this project.

As long as we know that trading will start at some point I'm fine now, I'll just wait. Another few days, weeks, whatever it takes.

Are there still free Byteball to get in the airdrop or is it closed now?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: October 08, 2018, 06:21:10 AM
There must be a reason why Cryptopia has not opened for trade of Helium, right? Why would they not if everything is ok, they loose money. The dev team might not be honest here and share the real reason why Cryptopia has not opened for trade / withdrawals.

I have a simple question for the dev team that doesn't appear to have been answered.

(1) How many coins are "stuck" at Cryptopia?

(2) Provide a transaction ID for the transfer of coins to Cryptopia for this amount of coins. You should be able to as the that txn must have been done if they are to open for withdrawals and trade. Did you transfer coins to Cryptopia?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Wisp [WISP] - Anonymous cryptocurrency project - Spectrecoin fork on: October 05, 2018, 03:02:54 PM
Why can't you just get someone to build a wallet, like an .exe so more people can use it. Is it not a bit elitist when you have to be able to compile to take part in Wisp?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Particl•PART|Confidential Transactions|Atomic Swaps|Cold Staking|P2P Marketplace on: October 05, 2018, 03:01:14 PM
How will you make sure that there are no illegal items for sale and do you not think that it is a given that someone will try to sell illegal stuff. You will then attract the attention of law enforcement as it will just be like a "darkweb" market.  Huh
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: October 05, 2018, 02:59:15 PM
IOTA users will be able to make payments using only their e-mail address. It's quite interesting, let's see what happens.

So, just using your e-mail address as an address to receive payment?
