That's what I'm worried about- for the month or so the pool was up after the difficulty raise, the hashrate didn't get fixed. We have been thinking of hiring a mining platform to fix the difficultly for us first.

Probably sometime during the weekend. Unfortunately, it might take longer than expected to fix the hashrate problem as I was lucky enough to get a defective RX 580 card; I just sent it back this morning.

I originally wanted to use a third-party pool but as we've seen, they're proving to be unreliable. As a result, we're forced to use our own resources to create our own pool.

I understand your concern. However, we did not start off with an ICO so we're not managing Dorfcoin full-time; we're doing all this on our free time outside of our full-time jobs. Although we will continue to meet our goals, they will not be accomplished at the same speed as other projects, unfortunately. I will provide the IP address for the pool and new node once I get them going.

Great question- I'm not getting any response from the pool hoster. I'm actually finishing up setting up a node; I may just have it work as a mining pool in addition to that.

The problem I have with proof-of-stake is that it encourages centralization and discourages usage by design. This is because it is much more deflationary than even PoW crypto.

Dorfcoin doesn't have much attention because we haven't done any marketing since it's introduction to the public- We've done this on purpose. I want the hashrate sorted out and Dorfcoin on any exchange first so that we can get the ball rolling without disappointing anyone with setbacks.

I'm going to keep the mining pool down until I fix the hashrate. Everything should be sorted out by the end of the week.

Hi mayAbbott. Our coin isn't listed on an exchange just yet, but you can acquire dorfcoin via mining. As for our technology, it isn't as powerful as some cryptos just yet, however what sets us apart is our direction and plan for making our currency more accessible than others.

Our plan is twofold- we recently sent coin listing requests to a few exchanges. When Dorfcoin gets accepted, this should help bring in a large influx of miners which will allow more consistent mining. Additionally, I plan to get ahold of an rx 480 card myself to assist with the pool mining. (I've been meaning to get one anyways so I can finally try out the witcher 3 and metal gear solid 5)

The difficulty will rebalance soon enough. We already have a plan set to that end. No coin dies until the devs give up, and we've put to much time and money into this project to simply give up.

It's because the node was down. It's back up now. Additionally, the block explorer should be up and running by the end of today.
