1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer Z9 mini overclocked on: September 07, 2018, 05:04:45 AM
I got what I think is a batch 2, Z9 mini 5 days ago. However it has the Sat May 26 20:42:30 CST 2018 firmware and has the over clocking values instead of "Balance". It will overclock to 675, but is unstable after that. Averaging 14.9 KSols. I have only one Z9 on a bitmain psu, running 240 volt and it is drawing 364 watts with the fan on 100%, at the wall. Average temps 57-58c. The room it is in is not cooled and yesterday it was 95 degrees F in there.

The question is that it is getting 1000's of discards per hour, is this normal? On Suprnova at the moment. Good or bad?

Looking for some help, been using Nvidia cards with SMOS without any issues, so I decided to try some AMD RX570's. SMOS does not see the cards, but windows 2016 does on the same motherboard. SMOS just reports there are no AMD open gl devices found.

lspci reports:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Device 67df (rev ef)
01:00.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Device aaf0
03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 11)
04:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Device 67df (rev ef)
04:00.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Device aaf0
05:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Device 67df (rev ef)
05:00.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Device aaf0

This is on a Asrock Q5000 motherboard, with quad core apu instead of a regular cpu. I have 4 of these miners running with SMOS & Nvidia cards without issues. They are all exactly the same, 3 card rigs, except I got AMD RX570's from MSI.

In case your wondering why the embedded motherboard, they are very efficient at about 9.5 watts but when one crashes it only takes 3 cards off line, instead of 6-12. Plus normally I plug it all in and it works without any hassle.

Thanks for any thoughts!
3  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Trojan in Electrum 3.0.0 wallet? on: December 05, 2017, 04:16:12 AM
My Windows defender just popped up that Electrum-3.0.0-setup.exe includes the Trojan:Win32/Tiggre!plock

I run Malwarebytes Premium and Windows Defender scans every day. Electrum has been installed for several weeks and this is the first time Defender said anything. Pretty sure there was an update to BitDefender that added this to it.
