1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Help needed ith ETH: GTX 970 with Claymore only 0.25 Mh/s - new to mining on: July 02, 2017, 11:42:37 AM
Hello everyone

I'm new here, sorry if I'm posting in the wrong board. I am also new to mining and trying to setup my machine. Apparently that's much harder than I though.
I have a setup of two GTX 970s (used to game with them), geth 1.3.3 and Claymore 9.6. I'm connected to the alpereum pool.

My bat looks like this:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu.alpereum.ch:3002 -ewal 0x09acb4f648163b57f12d52297020b8f79600b0a0.Miner -epsw x -mode 1 -ftime 10

When it runs, it looks liek this:

I guess it works, since it does show me ~ 0.5Mh/s? But why is it so slow? What am I doing wrong?

I did try ethminer, but it always crashed after booting it up.
I have also tried other pools. They either didn't work or were just as slow.
I did update my drivers today and I am using Win 7.
Temperatue looks good, it only needs 30% of the fan, but the GPU usage is just some 100% spikes.
When it is running, my PC is almost impossible to use, even moving the mouse "lags".

Can anyone tell me where I'm failing?
