If you haven't yet updated your wallet to Kekcoin v2.0.4, it is available for download. So far 95% of nodes have updated and the Segregated Witness softfork is predicted to activate on the 7th/05/2018.

Kekcoin Developer Update #7: MemeChain & SegWit The update describes the current progress on the MemeChain as well as progress we're making on upgrading the core protocol.
As Alaniz has said above, we're very grateful to all in the community who are helping eachother/ promoting KEK. We're working hard on development and can focus more when the new-comers are helped by veteran KEK hodlers! We are looking to expand the market to other exchanges as the technology and market develops. These things take time however so all we ask is a little patience.

We recommend that you update your Kekcoin wallets as soon as possible. Please continue to take any security steps you feel are necessary (i.e. run the wallet on a VM that shares no folders with your machine).

Has there been an update on what happened with the coins that were destined for the airdrop but never dropped? I think there would be 600 airdrops of 10k KEK each, but the eventual list was a lot shorter, only around 300 people I think? The question has been asked multiple times but no answer yet it seems.
The question was answered before it was ever asked, in the announcement on the first page! The leftover airdrops are now part of the Meme Bounty Fund, which you can see on the explorer. |

Does anyone can open kek's explorer? It seems not working for me.
The explorer is back online! Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Please check for yourselves to see the coins have not been dumped. Rest assured, we are not done with this coin. In fact, we are just getting started! Have some patience, it is the holiday period and things are quiet now, but we are busy planning the next big steps. What? This means that there is no such address, cause all letters are capital. The right key probably has appropriate balance on it. But this guy won't be able to import his keys unless he will find the right pair of public and privat keys with small and capital letters in them.
I dont think so, dev noticed this before he distributed the coin, so all caps address wont have balance on it dev only send kekcoin to the correct address That not true, cos my key were in the correct format when i generated it, but only saved to cap after i did a print to pdf in other to save the keys. if he or she copied their kek address directly from the site like i did they will have a balance but won't be able to claim it after. I'm not sure if this would work, but you could try a brute-force approach. Test every possible combination of caps and non-caps for your private key. You'd need to build a program to do it for you, but since you know what all the letters/numbers are you *might* be able to do it. If your keys were correct when you generated them and you followed all other steps correctly then the airdrop will have been sent. Are you sure you recorded the correct public key into the RADS smart chain? Good luck! |

UPDATE:We are excited to announce that Kekcoin has now been listed on cryptopia! Keep your eyes peeled on telegram as we'll have a fully functioning tipbot soon, and you'll be able to reward the most dank meme creations! The Kekcoin wallet is safe - if you aren't convinced then you are welcome to compile the source code yourself, or run the wallet in a virtual machine (with no shared folders) as others have pointed out previously. It is not uncommon for wallets to raise warnings during virus scans. We apologise to those who missed out on the airdrop for whatever reason. We tried hard to manually verify all users who encountered the "all capitalised address" problem. We managed to rectify the problem and ensure roughly 30 more people got their airdrops. If your Smartchain ID and bitcointalk usernames did not match then it was difficult for us to catch you in our system. This issue was not caused by the capitalisation problem and was an integral part of the verification process - if you didn't manage to do this properly then we take no responsibility for this.

ANNOUNCEMENT:In generating the list of verified participants we noticed that many of you have inserted all-capitalised public key addresses. Both public keys and private keys are case-sensitive. After some investigation, it appears that certain web browsers (Safari & Chrome) rendered the private and public keys in all-caps. For Edge and Firefox users there should not be a problem (but you should check just in case). What this means is that participants may have to generate their keys again, so that we have valid addresses to send the airdrop to.
