1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do non-blockchain startups sell tokens as "shares"? on: July 10, 2017, 10:17:52 PM
Hello guys, i've read something about ICO and similar stuff, and I have a question:
Are there non-blockchain based startups offering shares as Tokens?
To be more clear here is an example:
I value my startup 200.000$ and I decide to give away 25% of my shares, so I create 200000 STARTUPTOKENS and I sell 50000 of them at 1$ each.
At the end of the year I send a proportional part of the startups earning in bitcoin to shareholders.

If yes:
Does a website/Service that allows me to do this in an easy way exists? (Maybe waves?)
How a shareholder can be sure I will give him his part of earnings?

If no:
Why? What are possible issues about this?

Thank you guys
Yes, there are some Startup ICOs that make this promise. But no, there doesn't seem to be a way to verify an accurate dividend payment, if you are relying on them to honestly report their profits. Nonetheless, some of them seem to be successful in their crowdraises.  Huh
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alts fall, Bitcoin falls ... where is the money going? on: July 10, 2017, 10:10:25 PM
This what happened with bitcoin when people were selling ethereum, what people are basically doing is selling their altcoins to get fiat but as bitcoin is currently the easiest way of getting fiat people are dumping alts and buying bitcoin and as they want fiat they end up selling those bitcoins also which leads to the fall of bitcoin. This happens most of the time nothing new

This all is happening because everyone is not certain about segwit2x implement result, so in fear of the price can go down so everyone wants to cash out and waiting for the August 1 and if the price dumps then they can buy back in low price.
Is anything in particular happening on August 1?

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHY IS IT THE GOOD TIME TO INVEST IN RIPPLE (XRP) NOW? on: July 08, 2017, 10:32:39 AM
Is this still worth investing in? I would get in for a little.. not so much. Price seems reasonable for a first time investor in this world.
It's already #3 in market cap, so unless you think it will overtake BTC & ETH, idk..

yes ofcourse altcoins is based on bitcoin price so they have a future of course, ones the bitcoin have value the altcoins also have, and also the altcoins as of today has more upgrade and hacked proofs so that's why altcoins have future for sure,
Trying to better understand these hack proof features and upgrades. Is there a good resource that lists these? Thanks!
