when are you planing to releas this new versiopn ,., i need to put my doges in dekstop wallet before that right > ? to get the new coin ?
Depends on whether exchanges decide to support us or not. We are looking at at least a month long development process, so there is no need to do anything right now. We will let you know which wallets are safe to use well beforehand both here and on our website. |

Hi guys lets prove we can keep revive the old doge!!!  I'd expect a creator of dogecoin to be against this fork. We are essentially calling out problems in his coin. But hey, publicity is publicity. |

Should i download A dogr coin Wallet ? Or Will bittrex support it. Bcouse missing free coins hurts
I'd wait, this fork is not happening for some time. We want everyone to have ample time to prepare, both users and exchanges if they choose to support us. |

Naturally, we will have those who are going to be against the fork. This is fine, its their right to chose whether or not to be a part of this. However I believe there are enough people who long for the return of dogecoin that is mineable for us to be successful.

Do you already know wich wallets will be compatible?, i'm installing Multidoge, or do you recomend install the full dogecoin client?
We recommend 1.10.0, however any desktop wallet running the current blockchain will be fine. We will issue a supported wallets list later in the process, but can guarantee the full dogecoin 1.10.0 client right now. |

Introducing a new fork of Dogecoin! This fork will be 1:1 of the current chain, so if you have Dogecoin when the fork occurs, you will have the same amount of Dogecoin Eclipse at that address. Dogecoin Eclipse aims to fix issues we have with the dogecoin structure as it currently stands. We are still hammering out the finer spec details, but here is what is currently on the table: 1.Change in algorithm from scrypt to NIST5. This allows anyone with a gpu to mine Dogecoin Eclipse and frees us from the threat of asics and centralization.
2.Change in diff retarget to Dark Gravity Wave (DGW). DGW will change the difficulty every block while minimizing risk of attacks that would stall the mining chain.
3.Addition of masternodes. There are currently just over 550 dogecoin nodes running. We are looking to provide an incentive (although a small one) for users to run full nodes to strengthen the network.
4.A max coin cap. This will prevent long term loss of value for our coin. (currently we are considering 300 billion as the hard cap.) All other specs are expected to remain the same (i.e. 1 minute block times and 10,000 doge block rewards.) We want to bring active development back to Dogecoin, and bring mining back to the common people. This fork will end merged mining with LTC, and allow you to mine Dogecoin Eclipse with your home pc. We are a dedicated team with the resources to make this happen. All our work will be fully audit-able and transparent. We will never ask for any investments of any sort for out team. The way we see it, if we can't afford to see this project though on our own, then we shouldn't be doing it. That being said, if you want to send a donation or tip, our dogecoin address is listed on the website at the bottom footer. We want to use this thread as a discussion going forward, to hear recommendations from the community so we can ensure we are making the right changes to the specs. I have 2 Hodl wallets. The passphrase on my main wallet is no longer working. restoring the backup didn't work either.
Is there anything I can do to get access to my coins again? I mined about 680 blocks. I would hate to lose all those coins, now that they have started maturing.

They have to mine some blocks just to stop the difficulty crashing down the reason it crashed so fast last time was long periods with no blocks and coming back to late Yes, it really hard to calibrate this when their EDA retarget works more like an old TV channel changing dial rather than the volume dial. As a child, I always ended up breaking the channel dial.  Well, that brings me back... To a time before I was born. Guess crypto is for all ages |

Buying miners is always a losing gesture when it comes to asics. Better to just invest directly and let the value of the coin rise up.

Without some significant changes our beloved Dogecoin will never achieve it's rightful place as king of crypto. We need to figure out a way to adapt, bring back mining, and give incentive for running nodes. There are not nearly enough nodes for doge right now.

dogecoin is best altcoin , every exchange always have dogecoin. top 1 rank altcoin is dogecoin . On coinmarketcap Doge is nr 54 in terms of marketcap, which means nr 53 altcoin. Where did you get the nr 1 altcoin rating? What was it based on? Because that's when you view it ranked by market cap, it's #1 when ranked by wow.  lol yes, much wow |

I'm not saying $1 but... if you're waiting for 7 sats... LOL don't. Buy dalmatian instead Edit: Where are the devs?  Wondering this too. I love Dogecoin, not willing to let it fade. I hope the devs do something soon, because if they don't I'm sure someone else will... I'm considering it myself. |

DOGE need more mobile wallet (android & ios) and reliable one.
Coinomi supports doge and that works pretty good. No Android or iOS wallet is reliable though, because no mobile device is reliable. Coinomi, i dont think so Read here https://github.com/Coinomi/coinomi-android/issues/213Another old android wallet also have 1* lately that i very concern about it Coinomi is historically a good service for many coins, so I find this odd. However I agree, if you can get a desktop wallet, do so. |
