guys i try to run 13 gtx 1060  3gb on asrock h110 and Ethos.

Everytime i get more then 8gpu connected my rig crasches..... and ist not the riser, it cant be that all 5 other risers are broken (i checked one by one the last 5 risers) one of them has started but crashed after 10 minutes.

Now ist like the gpu nr 9 which was mining the 10 minutes now won's start

And it was on mem 4000 and pwr 90 = 17,5   so i didnt overclock too much..... (THE first 8GPU was able to work on mem 4400 4 hours with no crashes )..

Problems started when i connected gpu 9 , 10 11, 12 or 13 ........

i have 2x molex + sata power connected

I also made an Isolation betwen risers so they dont touch each other...

what the füc* is wrong with These Mainboards .... ??

please advice !!

I thought I'll share my results. Thats combination of os undervolting + offset. We are back to old results Smiley

That's 6x Sapphire Pulse RX 570 with hynix memory.

This looks mighty inspiring, maybe ill switch back to smOS, undervolting was the one thing keeping me away Smiley
Would you care to share your clocks/volts too? Also by offset, you mean a hardcoded bios offset, right?

great !

how much did you undervolt ? what GPU and Memory clocks ?

Thanks

@ tytanic - so it is still the same old DAGFIX which causes also more power Consuption ?

anyone use asrock h110 and 13 of 1070 ? my rig crashed several times

Same here, and is totally random, I first thought it was a raiser thing and changed all and is still happening.
Same for me. I moved the rig on a bigger frame 3 days ago and it crashes like 10 times a day eversince. I'll have new risers in 2 days but I' m not sure they are to blame since I'm not the only one having this issue.Strange

That makes 4 of us then. What exactly are your crashing symptoms?

I have a 12x GPU Rig, after around 10 minutes or more of mining the GPU 11 drop the hash rate from 26+mh/s to 18+mhs then this 18mhs is randomly getting on any other cards and then the rig reboot it self. the other issue is almost the same, GPU 11 drop hashrate to 0 a then restart the rig. this is happening with the normal version of smOS and the other with the Dag Fix. I already change the PCI riser and the USB cable but the problem persists.

My rig:
6x Rx 580 pulse 8GB
6x Rx 580 Strix 8GB
Board H110 Pro BTC+
8Gb Ram
Intel i3

try EthOS

I'm getting this error now, anyone knows what it means?

I don't think it's SmOS. Ive got another new rig with the same setup and it's been working flawlessly the past 24 hours and I've suspected bad risers on the other rig as they seem lower quality.

The one with the cheaper quality risers has actually crashed earlier today with the same error you posted. I'll keep you updated on my findings. Any other way your rig crashes? What do you mean with crashing exactly?

EDIT: The same setup as the original poster 13 1070s and h110 pro BTC+

i have 3 rigs so the same issue , the miner restart without error after 2 or 3 hours

Oh just a restart? Yeah all 3 of mine do that about every 2-4 hours.
One of them freezes sometimes as well though, or occasionally has an error in red writing "gpu .. not respond, restart attempt" which doesn't work and needs a restart (it's not my OC settings). I'm assuming that specific issue is the risers.
Overall I've still got a few things to try out to identify patterns and troubleshoot before assuming it's the OS. I'll keep you updated.
Do your rigs also have the message "there is no screen to be attached matching miner" on startup?

i think its not at the risers , yeah "there is no screen to be attached matching miner" on startup

i am building 13 x 1070 on h110 btc right now and hope it will be working. Are there also guys who got this config working whithout those issues on smos??

btw do you all powering this mobo with 2 extra molex(and 2 separate powerlines as well)? it is a little silly because the is no powering between mobo and cards via usb riser cable.....but maybe that's the solution....

did you try the noaer version ?

No, my USBs were originally flashed to simpleminer-NV-v1108-kernel4.11.12-nvidia384.59.raw - but I assume this is irrelevant as it auto-updates no? I'm running version NV 1124.
You think it might make a difference?

I have the same problem, my rig restart ~10time per day (with default clock, Not OC) . I have updated to noaer version (1124) already, the result is same. there are message "there is no screen to be attached matching miner" on start up.

My rig:
+ Main: Bios start, BTC 250 PRO.
+ Ram: 4G.
+ HDD: 80G.
+ CPU: Intel Pentium Dual core 3.4Ghz.
+ GPU: 12 x MSI P106-100.

CITRONIC / TYTANIC it seems to be a BIG ISSUE so why we get no answer from you ? are you working on it ??

i have the same problem.

13x1070 on Asrock h110 causing restarts every 1-3h. (With 6, 8 cards works without any problems !! )

and what the hell means:
"there is no screen to be attached matching miner"

please guys .... !

can i get answer ?
are there people with working 13GPU on H110 without reboots every 2h ?

What miner are you using for XMR in SMos Citronick?  I have mostly 4xx series cards.

sgminer-gm-nh-v5.5.5-7

Its the latest one that Tytanick added.

The other sgminer-gm or classic builds in smOS, works for all XMR pools but not for Nicehash - Cryptonight rental marketplace.

My cards are Sapphire RX480s (Refs), R9-Nanos, MSI-390s, Asus-290s, Asus-370s and 1 unit Pandaminer (RX-480Ms x8) - spread over 33 rigs.

Heliox/Eliovp low energy custom roms for 480s and Nanos. Stilt ROMS for 290s. 390s and 370s are stock ROMs.

With -ri 1008 and -w8 settings, all rigs are responding well at best optimal performance, intensity and temps (high 60s-low 70s C with decent fans RPMs)

Currently mining at Nicehash rental market, running sgminer-gm-5.5.5-7 settings below with failover pools turned on.

--no-submit-stale --kernel cryptonight -o cryptonight.hk.nicehash.com:3355 -u <insertyourBTCaddresshere>.$rigName -p x -o cryptonight.usa.nicehash.com:3355 -u <insertyourBTCaddresshere>.$rigName -p x --rawintensity 1008 -w 8 --text-only

Would love to use Claymore but... still no Linux v9.7 and also he has more work to do on RX optimisation. Also, in smOS, failover pools for Claymore miners still need to be figured out by Tytanick because this involves putting another epools.txt file into miners folder directory. Of course I will save a few more dollars not paying fees to Claymore if I use sgminer-gm  Grin

Thank you so much, I haven't mined XMR in some time and am interested in testing the speeds I would produce.  Why Nashhash versus mine direct to an exchange or something?  Just for ease of conversion etc?

For quite some time... I have been mining XMR with Dwarfpool, Moneropool, Nanopool, and few more. It was all good back then, but after recent fork of Monero - pools have been changing their payout schedule, increased difficulty made pools struggle for blocks and payment became inconsistent.

I use Poloniex for my XMR address. By the time you receive and sell your XMRs to BTC, you will sent it to your own wallet, ie. Coinbase - so you can count the charges there.

Cryptonight algo has several more other coins not only Monero (XMR) like XDN and BIP.... so I figured that there must demand for Cryptonight hash in their buyer-seller marketplace.

In whattomine.com; it shows that NH Cryptonight yields same profitability as mining XMR direct. In fact, NH Cryptonight has higher profitability than mining ZEC directly -  take a look at whattomine.com today.

So effectively, if I mine at NH, I get BTC upfront and saves me all the charges that Poloniex charges me, and also avoid baby sitting XMR on when to sell off and other buy-low-sell-high risks.

Just my opinion though, if you want to keep XMR coins then this NH method will not work for you.

Afternote: When NH sends you your payment (now once a day to save on tx fees - before its was up to 4 times a day) - the charges is equivalent to 3% which I think it high but I am OK with this as long as they take the risks upfront and pay me for every shares submitted as per rental contract.

Citronic
why are giving 2 Timer your BTC Adress ?
--no-submit-stale --kernel cryptonight -o cryptonight.hk.nicehash.com:3355 -u <insertyourBTCaddresshere>.$rigName -p x -o cryptonight.usa.nicehash.com:3355 -u <insertyourBTCaddresshere>.$rigName -p x --rawintensity 1008 -w 8 --text-only

do i need also account on nicehash to see tje stats ?

sgminer-gm-5.5.5-NH has a failover pool feature - which I like apart from the no dev fee

for failover pool just add it on the same string

you need to provide pool and password swicthes

i once had 4 pools in a single sgminer string (1 main pool and 3 failover pools)

To see stats on NH just add your BTC address like below

https://www.nicehash.com/miner/insertyourBTCaddresshere

firts thank you for the good explanation, but could you also explain what for is

ccminer-tpruvot-v2.1  ?

Citronic

I am running sgminer-gm-nh-5.5.5-8

 my config:
--no-submit-stale --kernel cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://cryptonight.eu.nicehash.com:3355 -u 37gao9Zy5TwgnWutGxVtSdP4CANU9BMnwe.$rigName -p x --rawintensity 1008 -w 8 --text-only

and still getting the same errors (see link). I tried first with my jaxx btc adress without succes...
then i created account on NH and gave the specific nicehas BTC wallet id in the config line, but still doesn't work ....

ist this sgminer only for AMD ?

i have GTX 1070 ....

ps. I also set the stock Clocks .... no result...

Hi, could you guys tell me if are you powering the mobo with extra 2 molex?
I think it is a little silly, because there is no power exchange between GPU and mobo via USB riser card. Is it possible to switch off the warning screen saying "please connect molex" if you have more thac 3 Graphic cards
I have also asrock h81 with 6 gpu and it was showing this message but if i once pressed  to continue it disappear and thats it.... in h110 there is no way to continue

is it possible to set a backup eth pool in SMOS ?

Hello, is there a reason you don't support powerlimit as low as 50% for Nvidia?

Because a lot of Nvidia cards run ok with 50% powerlimit, dualmining.
For me that's a big drawback becuse all my cards are under 80% powerlimit.
All the Nvidia cards that i installed until now  required a max powerlimit of 75.

My 13x1060's work just fine with a powerlimit of 55% using sMOS.

Hi, could you please share your gpu mem clocks and powerlimit conf. Thank you !

waiting too... for dag-fix in SMOS  Undecided

-10% MH/S actualy!!!
As now there is no universal fix and it wont be implemented automatically becasue of many problems that can cause.
If you want please use this image and try booting it with youtr rig. Its the only solution for now.
When AMD will release new drivers then i could implement probably fix as optional update.
Anyway i wont push this update to everyones rig becasue it would be destructive.
http://download.simplemining.net/simpleminer-RX-v1118_dagfix_computekernel.img.zip

i confirmed 15Mh/S more with 7xRX580 NItro + 8GB
BUT ALSO 330W more !!!!!!! Sad

@ Titanic - is it possible to mine with nicehash so that SMOS pick daily the most profitable coin ?
