1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / How does Buy/Sell/Stop Limits work? on: September 05, 2017, 03:35:57 AM
Hey guys ,

I have only used Cex and bitstamp for buying coins by simply buying/selling on the spot  but i recently came across poloniex and wondering how it works ?

Are the buy/sell orders in line with the current price of the coin or can the sellers put anything they want ?

If a coin is on the rise , is it possible that no buy orders go through ?

Completely new to trading , any help/guide would be very appreciated/

Thanks
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Exchanges where i can buy/sell most currencies directly on: September 03, 2017, 10:49:04 AM
Hey guys ,

Is there any exchange when i can buy/sell most coins directly. (100+)

I don;t mean trading with buy/sell orders . I mean an exchange where i get the buy/sell price for each coin and simply click buy.

I came across poloniex but its kinda complicated with the buy/sell/stop limit etc...

I want a website like cex when i get a fixed price and i can buy/sell/exchange instantly.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Merged Mining - How to mine XMR , FCN , DSH ... at the same time on: August 27, 2017, 05:10:25 PM
Hi ,

I am new to the mining field and just came across Merged Mining system.

From what i understand - i can mine several cryptonote coins at the same time without sacrificing any hashrate.

e.g:  if my hash rate is 300 h/s .

I can mine all 3 currencies at this hash rate in one go ?

Am i correct ? and if yes - how do i go about it ?

I tried minergate , but you can only mine 2 at the same time .I also read that minergate cheats on hash rate so won't be using it for long
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How does mining work ? on: August 26, 2017, 08:32:30 AM
Hi ,

I am new to the mining field and would like to get some info about how mining works.

I got access to a bunch of computers and want to try solo mining . (Monero - 15000 h/s)

Each machine mines about 400-500 h/s.

What is the best way for me to mine ? I wanted to try solo mining but not sure if it would work since the hash rate is spread across 40+ machines .

From what i understand , there is no upside for me to set up a private pool and point all the pcs to it .

Instead i was thinking of setting up the monero client on each pc and use the GUI - solo mine.

However , i'm not sure if each PC would be powerful enough on their own to mine blocks relatively quick ?

Any advise ?

Thanks

First, I hope you know if you don't have good amount of hashpower, you don't get blocks for ages in solo mining.

Then, come to the wallet question.
It should give you no difference between using one wallet or multiple wallet in terms of profitability in solo mining.

The only advantage is if you use only one wallet, you save the time to relocating the coins.
Other than that, both ways are just the same.

Thanks . I expect to have 15000 h/s total but spread over many machines . (400-500 h/s per machine)

I'm not completely sure how mining works . Can even an old cpu get lucky and mine a block quickly . Is there a block generated for each cpu and they hack at it ??
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Monero Mining with 10 computers - Solo or private pool on: August 26, 2017, 07:50:24 AM
Hi ,

I got manycomputers at home on the same network and i want to mine monero.

I was wondering what was the best way to go about it ?

Set up a private pool on 1 pc and point all the miners to it .

Or install the monero client on each PC and solo mine.

Is there any advantage to using a private pool or does it work the same way ?

i.e : Combine hash power to mine same block or each mine different blocks and have no advantage for private use.
7  Bitcoin / Armory / Receive coins in offline wallet that has not been synced - Armory on: July 03, 2017, 04:46:38 AM
Hey guys ,

I'm new to the bitcoin world and i have an issue . I created a wallet in Armory but did not realize that it was offline and the db has not been spawned.

I have no way of downloading the full armory ledger at this point due to space issue .

I created a wallet and got a delivery address and initiated a transaction of 0.1 btc to it that i cannot cancel .

Is the delivery address valid even though armory was never connected to the internet ?

can i access the funds at a later time with the private key that was generated by armory ?

Thanks
