1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bittrex is a scam website - AVOID!- WITH PROOF!! on: November 26, 2017, 03:00:10 PM
BELOW IS A POST from REDDIT FORUM DIRECTLY FROM A WHISTLE BLOWER AT BITTREX EXCHANGE.

You may have not noticed this because of such a large userbase, but it has been happening to not only Bitcoin but other altcoins, as well. From sources I will not name, people have lost 20 BTC to 2000 BTC on a weekly basis.
They have been doing it in increments so you don't notice the 0.0001 decrease in value. Considering they have so many members, it adds up.
Have you realized that their support system is essentially useless? You ask a question, and you get an automated response saying something a long the lines of "Has your question been answered? If not, please reply in 2 days or we will close your complaint." Then you reply, and the same message comes up again.
I am an an employee of Bittrex and Bitcoin Cash has caused a stir in the development community. People are hacking and stealing money, and this is coming from our own organization.
If you feel like this has happened to you, their legal counsel is Joseph Cutler. He has worked in the cryptocommunity for years and has countless skeletons in his closet such as fraud, deceit, prejudice, collusion and many other illegal malpractice.
I currently still work for Bittrex and plan to quit, but as a community we should come together and file a class action lawsuit against them. If you would like to know more about their legal counsel, the website is: www.perkinscoie.com/en/professionals/joseph-p-cutler.html

BITTREX is an exchange and BTC is currency. There is no comparison. The issues is that the trading platform is compromised or their code is and we are the victims.

I'm highly surprised with so many negative reviews, BITTREX has not been impacted in any way and they continue to scam their clients without any explanations.

I'm convinced that they know the issue very well and intentionally not doing anything as they are not regulated by the SEC.

OK. I can relate to a lot of victims here and i have personally lost $84,000 (you are reading it correctly) worth of BTC in the month of August, 2017.
I have been going back and forth with their representing lawyer (Joseph Cutler of Perkins Coie LLP).

I strongly suggest that since we have so many victims of BITTREX scam we should reach out to CFPB (consumer financial protection bureau). This agency goes by volume irrespective of the monetary value.

THis is my second life as the first scam where i lost all the funds almost gave me a heart attack.

And all could get back from BITTREX is we are sorry that your funds were lost and they cannot protect against such hacking attacks.

Is there any sort of fees when  i move any crypto from an exchange to a wallet?
My question is in general so that i can decide if i should move my cryptos to a wallet or not.

The network fee to move FCT from the Enterprise wallet to another address is very small. Exchanges are free to set their own withdrawal fees though. I'm not sure what they are off the top of my head but polo is a bit steep. Papermill wallet from Factom is the safest storage solution. Keeping coins on exchanges you don't control the private keys, ....so def some risk there.

Also when FCT news is released FCT price will go high, and you may be over the withdrawal limit on exchanges, meaning every day you go in and withdraw what you can, paying withdrawal fees each time. Do a small test withdrawal first to ensure everything goes smoothly and you have no issues.

As for your other cryptos, my recomendation is not to store on an exchange, you don't control the private keys, too risky IMO, I want them in my possession, trustless and all that...  Good luck.

Is there a tutorial available on how to setup wallets for all kinds of Cryptos. I'm loooking to move them from the exchange and store them in a safe wallet. Basically i need a wallet for each individual crypto listded below.
Ant Shares
Factom
Storjcoin
Ethereum Classic
Iconomi
Ripple
Dash
Nem
